We tried this place for the first time yesterday and were not disappointed. The fall coffee selections were great and tasted as good as they sounded. Service was super friendly as well. We both got a cinnamon roll and thought it was pretty good. We will definitely go back and try a lunch item.

This place is amazing. The owners and their kids are wonderful, the ambiance is so cool, the decor is modern-meets-cultural. Every drink or food item I've ever gotten here has been top notch. My favorites are the coconut refresher and the curry chicken croissant. Holy moly, delicious. Pictured is my half drunken refresher because I forgot to take a picture before I started guzzling it down. It's a really beautiful lavender/violet color with a pink flavor layer on the bottom. Beats Starbucks everytime. The croissants here are huge and the curry chicken is perfect - not spicy or overwhelming, just packed with flavor. Love this place! Highly recommend.

When drinking coffee becomes an aesthetic experience. Jebena Cafe in Waxhaw is the whole experience from fine Ethiopian coffee to ample room to sit and talk!

Well-crafted, naturally leavened breads and pastries w/ a rustic twist, exceptional service, delicious local coffee and all of the good vibes. I recently visited and picked up some pastries - a croissant, a pain au chocolat, and my fave: a kouign- amann. You know how your chocolate croissant never has enough chocolate? Virtuoso serves up the right balance of flaky, buttery, crackly pastry w/ a nice thin layer of chocolate that covers the entire base of the pastry - perfection! These aren't croissants are airy and light as they should be. Now to my fave - the kouign-amann with a twist. A buttery toasty laminated pastry similar to croissant but and filled with a creamy not-to-sweet egg custard that will make you swoon! It's like if a a kouign-amann and a Portuguese pastel-de-nata had a baby! #IYKYK They have a great variety of sourdough breads including baguettes, country loaves and some made with locally-milled whole grains. The coffee is locally roasted Enderly coffee. The record player spins cool tunes and the good vibes are off the charts. What a blessing to have this place in our backyard. Runs don't walk, y'all.

Good amount of seating inside (mostly 2-seaters; one larger table reserved for bigger groups). Helpful and friendly staff who were amazing with my little one. You have to try a slice of the basque cheesecake. The plain slice (with no whipped cream or fruit topping) is not overly sweet and the perfect amount of "burnt" & creamy. We also tried the madeleines, which - as the café's name suggests - were on point. And the garlic bagel is a garlic + cream cheese lover's dream. The iced dalgona latte was such a treat. Sweet with a creamy foam and topped with crunchy cookies - very well balanced and delightful to drink. The prices reflect the care and high quality of the products.
