Just visited The Union Exchange and what a great little spot. We came on a Sunday around noon and it was pretty quiet, probably because of the time of day. I heard later in the afternoon they have live music and a lot more of a vibe, but honestly it was perfect for my friends and me. They have fishing, a park for kids, games, animals, food, picnic tables, and lots of open space to run around. Very family-oriented and such a nice outdoor experience. We really don't have many places like this in Miami, so I genuinely enjoyed myself. I didn't try the lemonade this time, but I did get an iced coffee and it was delicious. Next time I'm trying the lemonade, it comes in these mini buckets and looked super refreshing with a bunch of flavor options. If I'm not mistaken, parking was free (maybe because it was Sunday), and if you plan to fish, you do need to get a wristband and pay. Don't try to sneak around it because they will come find you pay your dues ;) read more

8/8/26 Attended a wedding at this barn/farm. The property was clean and well maintained. A few animals even made an appearance. It made for such beautiful photos. The food was made with items from the land. Staff was friendly and attentive. No complaints. read more

So this place has plenty of parking. I feel like you will never not find a spot. It was easy to find. They offer kids activity like the farm animals, hayride and the playground. Their shop I feel like is a little small so when it's busy, can be hard and crowded inside. I do like that they offer different things like bakery items, coffee, ice cream and wine. It was a cute neat spot to go to to hang out with friends and family. Do like that they have real bathroom versus some other places have porter potty. read more

Nice hidden spot here in Monroe, if you look for a nice place to get out and relax too in the Monroe Area and surrounding areas this is it hands down one of nicest place in the area, if you looking for a place to stay the night they also do that too people are so nice here the food I have not tried yet but next time I go I will. read more

I love this place. Serene. Happy. Comfy. Genuine. Chickens walking about, warm fires burning, bands playing, wine pouring. What's not to like? During open season I drive past my grocer and buy here polenta, crackers, Carolina Gold rice, and free-range eggs. So bright, fresh, and orange--mmmmmm. This was somewhere we have been meaning to check out for a while and finally made it. They truly have something for everyone here and have plans to continue adding to this already cool place. They have a little shop that has local artesian products from local honey to soap, candles, and even plants! There is a little coffee shop too that offers hot and cold coffee drinks as well as baked goodies! Outside is a large patio area with seating, and there is often live music. From the patio, you can see the lake and enjoy the views. We walked around the lake and then wandered the property. They have goats ,chickens, and a couple of donkeys, too ! In our travels, we chatted with Donetta, one of the may friendly, outgoing, and helpful staff on the property. She shared some of the future plans that include an arcade they are building, cabins down by the lake, a spa area, as well as pickleball and volleyball courts! Near the courts, they have a little sports bar when you can grab a beer, mimosa, or alcoholic slushie (non alcoholic as well). But wait, there is more! They have a food truck that is there permanently and offers some amazing smelling food at decent prices. We had eaten before we went, so we did not try anything but will next time! They have a small playground area as well. And if that is not enough to do, you can fish at the lake too, no license required (I'm pretty sure,double check though. This place is so nice! Beautiful grounds with a lake view. The store sells snacks, coffees, beer/wine etc. they have live music sometimes which is what k was out there for. It was such a nice and relaxing vibe. I can't wait to go back and enjoy this awesome place even more. read more

This review is based on how the owners treated a customer who purchased a photo session on the farm. I was the photographer and I was very saddened at how their customer was treated. As I said, the bride and groom had purchased time on saturday Oct. 18, 2025 to be able to capture some family and bride and groom pictures after their ceremony near by. We came into the farm and explained that we had a session and needed to know what area they would like for us to go. The attendant directed us to follow the tractor which would lead us to a red barn at the back of the property. The attendant did not ask for names, we just assumed, being the first time there, that would be the area where we would do pictures as the farm property is huge and the front of the property was full of people and children etc. So we did as we were told and started getting some pictures at around 2:30, not even after 15 minutes a lady came out and said we couldn't be there because there would be another wedding later in the evening, we explained that we were instructed to go there and we were not going to be there for over an hour since a reception was awaiting them. She insisted and asked if we wanted to speak to the owner we said yes. Long story short, the owner came out and said that a bride was upset we were there, mind you, we were on the edge of the lake far away from the building, but we were made to leave the premises even though this couple had paid for their session in advance and this really cut into their schedule we ended up having to go straight to the reception as there virtually was no other place without big groups of people in the background and wherever there was shade it was occupied with people , it was extra crowded and 100 percent sun. What is really heartbreaking was to see how this young couple were treated, and just discarded, in my opinion they were humiliated, on their wedding day over something that could have easily and kindly been remedied. I would strongly advice, if you're paying for a session, to get clear information, ask questions before you rent out any time from this place as they will easily take your money with not so much assurance for what you would like to get in the end. I will not recommend them at all, very condescending and not reasonable. read more

Took my three and a half year old daughter here and it was well worth it. They had goats, chickens and supposedly ducks too that we didn't end up seeing and they are adding two donkeys to the mix too. There's a play ground and a nice lawn by a lake where you could run around barefoot or just have a picnic on a blanket. The little barn building where they have coffee and pastries is super cute with a modern rustic feel. They also have ice cream, games for the littles and adults and all kinds of little gift items like local homemade jam and mushroom scavenging brochures, flower pots, plants and herbs and books for children. The only thing I wish was that they had was matcha latte as an option or maybe golden latte since I'm not drinking coffee at the moment but they do have tea for those who don't drink coffee. Such a pleasant surprise! Saw this super cute artisan market and farm on Instagram and wanted to check it out! Very welcoming as soon as you drive in, located on 50 acres with a huge pond you can walk around. The main building is very warm and cozy, filled with local goods for sale such as soaps, lotions and foods. Tables, couches and a coffee bar really add to the atmosphere. Wine and beer for sale too, along with everything needed to build a charcuterie board! Outside is amazing, plenty of patio seating with heaters, a working fire pit with s'mores kits for sale inside! Chickens and goats outside along with a bounce house for kids. Sounds like they are planning on major renovations and additions in the next few months. Truly enjoyed spending some time here, bought local kettle chips and beef jerky and enjoyed a lavender latte by the fire. Can't wait to see what the spring brings here!! read more

Wish I had the vision the owners had for this land. I stumbled on this gem while looking for a food truck. I had the privilege of speaking with one of the owners about the place and it was a good tale. My husband has been saying, they don't make land, so, if you find land, grab it. Per the owner, this was a camp site that was left to run down. This place is peaceful. There's a pond. There's donkeys and goats. There's play areas for the kids, and I was told hiking or walking trails along the pond. This is a great place to go on a Saturday afternoon. There's a fire pit with seating. When there's events, there's food for sale. There is also a market area to buy local goods. There's a arcade area. I think I saw a sign for pickle ball. A very family friendly place. read more

We found this place on Yelp 3 months ago. Funny thing on Yelp the place was open but when we got there no one was around. When leaving we met the owners and he was surprised that in the website it was showing as open. He apologized and told us that they would be opening next week and invited us in! My family and I have been coming here since around the time of opening. I used to love this place and would recommend it to many. We would bring friends and family here anytime they were in town. Unfortunately, upon our last visit I saw an increase in prices and a decrease in value/services. Upon arrival I was disappointed to pay parking being a customer that spends money in their shop. We've always loved the hats and other goodies we've bought whenever we've come. Our kids always look forward to the ice cream from the Waxhaw creamery here, but unfortunately upon our last visit we were all completely disappointed. Our one scoop ice creams were filled to only a quarter of the cup, about 2 tablespoons of ice cream, no joke, for over $4. We would have received more from the kid's scoop at the Waxhaw creamery for less money. Upon receiving that I asked for a double scoop to which it was filled to almost where a single scoop would be. Upon checking out, I shared my displeasure with the associate and she was very accommodating which was greatly appreciate. After we showed my sister around the grounds since she was considering a wedding here. After. Coming back from the goats, my 5 year old picked up something from the ground and was holding it. My 8 year old niece ran up to me and said, "He has glass in his hand." I investigated and not only was it glass but there was glass broken all over. We live within a few miles of this place, and have visited several times. It is best described as a former farm turned hipster event space/wedding destination that is still being developed. There is a small marketplace with a small selection of curated goods with plants available for purchase in the summertime, as well as goats & chickens to gawk at. It is a cool place to visit, but really needs a major draw like a small chef-led farm to table restaurant near or over the pond to put it on the map! Our new favorite place in Monroe! We have visited the farm often and keep coming back. The coffee and market are great but the ambiance of the pond and peaceful surroundings are what draws us back. This place is so wonderful. Came here with the kids today and grabbed coffee and a delicious oatmeal cream pie made by Sweet and Cozy bakery. The playground is awesome, the lake is gorgeous, and the kids had a blast walking around seeing the chickens, goats, and donkeys. We had a super nice time and can't wait to go back. read more
