Menu, they also offer baked goods including gluten free

Found this gem while visiting one of my sites. I couldn't find an online menu or pictures on Yelp for what they had, so went and took a shot! I don't drink coffee but love local places like this, I was lucky they had matcha and it was pure matcha, not that stuff Starbucks and others have with sugar and then a tiny bit of matcha. I had it made with oak milk and was also pleasantly surprised they had gluten free items individually packaged! Amazing, was a win win day. The matcha was smooth, you can tell it's a higher grade, not grainy or too grassy. The gluten free roll, I ate later on my flight, wasn't bad, not sure I would buy that flavor again but appreciate that they had it. I can't even remember the flavor now! Sorry. If I go back to this project I will certainly make a trip to this shop. The house is beautiful on the outside, so much character, I didn't get a chance to walk around but they had trinkets and such for sale. The Barista and person who took my order were nice and friendly.

Neat little coffee shop located just off the main drag in downtown Monroe. We've stopped in a few times, and they seem dialed into the pulse of their community. Coffee has been expertly prepared and the munchies we consumed were both tasty and reasonably priced. The old house is cozy and well-appointed with clean bathrooms and a room that partitions off for a larger group. While there are several places to sit including the porch, its more akin to conversation than work. And that's part of its charm. We've not encountered tables seized by a single person sprawled out for the day while sipping a $4 latte. Not cool. I wish they offered more breakfast offerings like hot sammies, and cortados. Nevertheless, Alice Jules has my "Give 'em a whirl" meter just a percolating. Get your hot Joe here!

    Order here!

Met a colleague for coffee. Had a Crème Brûlée Latte. It was delicious. This beautiful shop is a gorgeous old Victorian with so much character. I met the owner who was a lovely person. We sat outside and enjoyed our coffee in the sun. There is plenty of seating inside as well. I would definitely return.

Giving Alice Jules anything other than a 5 star review is wrong, the coffee is AMAZING!! The customer service is AMAZING, everyone working was so kind. With ample seating throughout. I ordered a caramel macchiato and it honestly is the best ive had in a while. Will be back!!!

Stopped in for the second time in one day. I was greeted by a young man named Kyle who was very friendly and upbeat. I told him I was wanting a chai tea latte, so he suggested a few of the different flavor options. I chose Apple Pie and it did not disappoint. It tasted like dessert in a cup! I appreciated Kyle's above and beyond customer service.

We found this place a couple years ago and have never been disappointed. These folks know coffee! Not sure what you want? Ask the barrista to make something for you and you will not regret it! The service is quick and accurate. There is seating inside and they have a large porch you can relax and sip your coffee. They also sell crafts and goodies from other local artisans

Best spot for hot matcha latte and kids temp hot chocolate! The crew at Alice Jules is awesome and we very much appreciate Kent & co for making us feel so welcomed in our new neighborhood! Kent is also an amazing ambassador for the small businesses around downtown Monroe -- thanks so much for sharing all the wonderful happenings around our lovely City!!

An incredible Coffee House in Monroe. Wonderful and very bold coffee. The coffee is fresh and prepared exactly to your likening. There are a variety of pastries & cookies , honey , and handmade gifts. The entire Staff are attentive , polite , and strive to be engaging to all guests. It's a pleasure to be warmly greeted and part of the extraordinary experience at Alice Jules. The coffee house is very warm and inviting to sit alone , with friends , or even for a small event. Plenty of space inside or outside. Daily the owner is present and engaged in work and community. Part of the reason we repeat and return and frequently share about Alice Jules is because the owner is so involved in the community & obviously a neighborhood leader , he is frequently seen coaching and mentoring the employees , and too greeting patrons. I hope others see and taste the value of such a Community Coffee House. There is no measure of the important role Alice Jules , the Staff, and Owner play in everyone's daily encounter to buy coffee and that of the value the coffee community brings to Downtown Monroe. Big Thanks to Ken & for sharing Alice Jules with the Community.

Inside seating. Vintage chairs, a separate "meeting room", and lots of little crannies to hang out.

So glad I came across this place. I haven't been to Monroe in over a decade and it's so nice to see downtown coming alive. Yeah, there's the same boring, sterile strip mall coffee chains outside of town, but this is so much better. First the building is beyond adorable. A historic Victorian-esque house turned into multiple businesses. The decor makes you feel like you've walked into another world. Compete with a flickering "gas lamp" street light and local artists painting hanging on the wall. The coffee was phenomenal. Their pumpkin whatever is hands down the best pumpkin whatever I've had. Even had pumpkin whipped cream. Seriously, this didn't taste like "oh I added a pump of flavoured corn syrup", but like actual pumpkin batter was added. Their drip coffee is worth coming back for alone. Not bitter, not overly sweet, not burnt. It's a shame I'm only passing through because I would 100% make this a daily third space. Oh, and the Yelp hours are wrong. They are open on Sunday 8a-12p. Also, the owner is a gem. He looks out for his employees and they take Covid precautions even though the overall area may not. They understand it's about the community, not just themselves, and that mentality shows in how he treats his employees.

The owner Kent. He's got great personality. He knows how to welcome folks. It's more then just a coffee shop, it's a family community.

It is in downtown Monroe with street parking and some public parking lots. Our daughter said she has been there around 11:00am and got a spot on the street right in front. It is very eclectic with decor and items for sale. They have indoor seating, seating along entrance hall and outdoor seating. You order at one counter, which has a large menu boards above the counter. The young lady that took our order was very nice. You pay over at the bar area. It was not busy at the time we were there. I had the Salad Sandwich. You can get it with chicken salad, tuna salad or chickLESS salad. I had the chicken salad in a spinach wrap with lettuce and tomato. There are other bread options. The wrap was filled with the chicken salad. It was nicely seasoned and tasted really good. My husband and daughter both did the Pick Your Burger, a build your own. My husband had the burger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. My daughter added bacon, lettuce, grilled onions and provolone cheese. They both said it was a great burger. We enjoyed our food. Definitely will come back.

The sandwich was spectacular on a wonderful crusty baguette. It wasn't heated up and made fresh about two hours before I came in most likely, so it wasn't soggy as others mentioned. It was wonderful. The flavor was very savory. My grandmother was very pleased with her breakfast sandwich! Big, flaky croissant with fluffy eggs! The coffee was not weak and I enjoyed it. Creamer was offered as a self-serve from a pitcher. It certainly felt better than opening 9 creamer cups between two people. Free water was offered at the end of the line, too. So, no waiting for a refill. I also got two pastries to go-- both were spectacular. Sweet in a savory and memorable way, rather than being over-the-top and masking fake-y ingredients with sugar like many places do. The bakers do a wonderful job. Despite the crowd and line, the employees moved quickly and kindly. Pleasantries were still exchanged and things made-to-order were out in a timely manner. The people here work very hard. It's a hectic job but they do it well and they do it without sacrificing small niceties or helpfulness. The interior was nice, too. Tables were kept clean and there was a nice area for little ones to occupy themselves while parents enjoyed their drink and meal. Books, some plushies, and pretend-play toys were there. No tablets or items that could make them hyper. I very much enjoyed my experience after a hard night and morning. Thank you to everyone that works at Cocotte for showing up and staying kind. With tip, for two people you can expect to spend around $35. Not a terrible price for a great brunch experience with great environment + people. I recommend 100%. Though, maybe come early in the morning while everything is fresh. Others have different experiences late in the day it sounds like.

Fair warning, It is pricey but worth it! Their best deal is their sandwiches that includes a side (today I chose the tomato soup with croque monsieur) Food: Tomato soup, while basic, was robust and flavorful. The Canneles de Bordeaux ($3.25) was a rum soaked cake that boast of a custard center ... dearest gentle readers, there was not a custard center a tasted more gummy than like a pastry The croque monsieur was a heat up I was expecting fresh and bubbly like true Croque Monsieur and it was essentially a sandwich that once upon a time had bubbly cheese and crispy bacon. Their best deal brioche it was on was absolutely incredible - soft, sweet, and spongy, but there was a stark temperature contrast to the "ran through the toaster" broiled top. My total after tip was $22.41. (Yes I tipped the staff for an order at the front and carry it to me, which is typically against my principle of no tipping if I have to stand and order but that's a different soapbox) Atmosphere: chaotic, loud. There is a small kiddo section with toys and a couple of arm chairs, 3 or four booths and 3-4 small tables along with outside picnic tables that have umbrellas. I have no idea who created the acoustics of this building but everything seems to echo, so if you're looking for a cozy cafe to get work done - this unfortunately isn't it. They do community events there for those who love to speak French or want to learn and improve on their French and are a part of Goodie bags app so if you can snag one of their deals - that's a fantastic way to support them! They are open Weekdays 7-3 (closed tuesdays) and 8a-3p on the weekends. Finally, they have paired with other local coffee shops to have their pastries for sale I would have paid the same (if not more!) for similar items at Panera (prepackaged, overpriced hospital food IMO) so I will hands down continue to support local, freshly made ingredients. I didn't have coffee this go round but thoroughly enjoy their lattes
