The Good Cup has a coffee truck making the rounds now to neighborhoods and they post on Instagram where they're going weekly in Matthews. (Their brick and mortar location is with Loyalist Market during regular times.) they're taking credit cards and cash so look for their coffee truck and support an amazing local business! We were helped by the owners themselves, and they always had a smile, repeated our order back to us, got our order quickly, and checked on us if things were OK. The common areas and restroom were clean and comfortable, and the y did a terrific job with the looks of it. It has its own free parking lot but with limited spots. I love when businesses, especially food trucks have details like that. I ordered the seaside macchiato on their June specialty drink menu. I told the lady working that I prefer my drinks sweet so she suggested that I add more sweetener. They worked at a great pace with the line that they had. The wait wasn't too long. Maybe 5-7 minutes. My name was called and I stepped up for my drink. It was so pretty! I took a sip and immediately realized that it was not sweet enough to my liking. I stirred and received the same outcome. I went back to the window and asked for more sweetener. The guy working was apologetic and took my drink back with no complaint. Unfortunately, as he attempted to place my cup on the counter, the cup fell. He apologized again and remade it. He didn't cuss, fuss, or seem angry, he just remade the drink. That really made an impact because I would've expected a bit of frustration and there wasn't any. He remade my drink and explained that how I wanted it made, he had to add one less espresso shot. I thanked him for his patience and remaking my drink. They have great customer service! I give this company two thumbs up.

I didn't know what to expect since this hidden gem is located on a church campus but such a great experience. It was a Saturday morning, I was anticipating a super crowded/busy place but the morning ended up being super sleepy. I brought a laptop to work on travel planning as my "craft." Super easy to park, connect to wifi and grab snacks and coffee from the wonderful barista. For a while, it was me, the barista, another gentleman (working solo) and two ladies catching up in one of the many tables to catch up at. When my friends arrived, we were able to push two tables together to have enough chairs and table space since people brought diamond paintings, cross stitch, and coloring workbooks to work on. It was a lovely time. A group of ladies did come in later and started playing mah jong. Toward the end of our meetup, folks were coming in with flowers, dresses, and tuxedos in preparation for a wedding happening later that day. Overall a great place to meetup. There's a nice group/conference room that looks like it could be reserved for larger parties, but most of the tables were for two people... three 4-tops and then a couple of other tables with more lounge chairs (for groups of 4). I have an older laptop so I'm stuck looking for power, there were a couple tables situated close to outlets and then a large wrap around bar in the center that I spied a few outlets but not all the seating had access to power.

I got a pineapple-stuffed pastry stick, pan de bono (cheese bread), and guava & cheese empanada to go with our iced brown sugar cinnamon latte & iced vanilla latte (both with oat milk). I love the tropical/Colombian touches to the food offerings, and they were all delish! I especially enjoyed the empanada since it was served hot with a flaky crust and perfect amount of filling. Highly recommend coming in if you're in the area and looking for a caffeine + sweet treat boost!

They accidentally made an extra coffee so I was able to take the second one with me! The syrup options are endless and there are a ton of drink options if you can't quite make a decision. We did not add any syrups, which are additional cost on already pricey drinks. The chai is nice and spicy, which I love, but I wish I had added a syrup. The matcha just tasted like milk honestly. If you like a more milky, less grassy matcha this is the place for you. Additionally, this place is very popular so the wait is kind of long. There are 3 ways to order - your phone, a tablet, and at two different windows. It seemed like they were struggling to manage all of the different orders. Drinks were mixed up at the two windows, so they spent extra time trying to yell out the name or find the person. Next time, I would order ahead for pick up.
