I love this coffee shop it's one of my favorites in town. The food is always fresh great quality and delicious the service is always friendly and pleasant. The ambience is the best, chill atmosphere relaxed and relaxing last time there was a kids Bounce house but since this Halloween I think they changed to a kids climbing playground thing. Still the same idea where if you are a parent or someone who happen to have little ones full of energy and you just need a moment to sit, breathe maybe read this is the spot. They also have really cool event ideas. I'm yet to join for an adult party. I know they have a Halloween party every year... and that they have drinks at night so it turns into a bar of some sort. A cute, small business coffee house that makes their own pastries and coffee/tea syrups. The ambience is so warm and inviting. Great place to grab your favorite drink and comfy seating to catchup on emails or read a book. Great selection of wine, beer, and spirits, as well. Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful. Customer service is always so good and friendly. They are determined to make your order perfect! The menu is constantly evolving with special items and products. Even items and games for kids, as well. There are so many events happening to have a date night or meet new people. I have always been the biggest fan of Forest Trail House! The owner, Colin, is the nicest guy and makes an effort to connect with each one of his customers. The food and drinks are always incredible (all the syrups are homemade!!!) and I love that you can get alcohol and coffee all in one place! They are moving to a new location soon (I think it's 8400 Fairview Road), but they will still be in Mint Hill and I'm sure they'll keep their same events. I am so excited to see what the new location looks like considering how cute the old location is!! Everyone should definitely go give it a try. read more

I have committed this year to try all the adorbs mom and pops coffee shops. This one was so cute, in an older home converted into the cutest coffee house. I went early and was able to get a whole room to myself with my coffee and book, but didn't take long for the place to get jumping with new and regular customers. I tried the apple butter cinnamon roll and had them warm it up double time so it could be nice and melty. It was perfection. read more

Forest Trail House is so cute! So much parking and a great spot to hang for the day if you have the time! All syrups are homemade - plus tons of drink and food specials! I got the seasonal pumpkin spiced latte with oat milk and it was delicious. Plus the special apple butter cinnamon roll was to die for. If you are hanging around they heat them up for you and it's even better!!! Also went for trivia on Friday night and it was so fun - with SO many people! My son and I stopped in this evening for a coffee date and it was such a positive experience! They have mild Halloween decorations around to make it festive and tasteful. Our barista was very friendly and I was so happy to be able to get our drinks in mugs to add to the cozy experience. They make their sauces in house which is a major bonus! I ordered a caramel latter and a hot coco for my son. These beautiful creations were not only made with care but tasted delicious. The latte had the perfect balance of caramel, coffee and foamy milk. This place is fantastic. I came here on a hot afternoon while waiting for my dog to be groomed at Classy Pet Styling nearby. I was warmly greeted when I entered. I immediately noticed the cozy interior with natural light and indoor and outdoor seating. There's even a bouncy house out front for the kids. I asked the barista, who I later realized was the owner, for input on a treat and settled for the sticky bun per his suggestion. I got an iced oat milk matcha to drink. I found a great table in the middle room but needed more light to work, so I came up front. There were a lot of plugs around the shop, which was great. They also did a grab-and-go floral arrangement pop-up shop featuring a local farm/florist's arrangements. As a patron, all you had to do was scan the QR code to pay and take the arrangement with you. I thought this was an awesome way to support another local business while brightening up your shop. Great idea! The sticky bun was absolute perfection and took me back to the ones my childhood best friend's mom would make for us. So good. The matcha was also fantastic. This is an incredible shop, and I can't wait to return. Highly recommend! read more

Cute coffee shop set up in an old house in Mint Hill. The atmosphere is calm and cozy with seating throughout. They also have a sweet front porch you can sit on to enjoy your coffee/tea/lemonade and try a bagel or pastry. The place was busy so I didn't get many pictures. Lots of variety for coffee drinks. They also have cocktails, so I will definitely be back to try those, but it was a skosh early for cocktails the morning we were there. We had one of the special lattes,iced chai tea and an egg cheese on everything bagel. The drinks were good but the bagel was excellent! Will be back to try the cocktails! read more

A lovely coffee shop with great coffee and great service. This place is located in Mint Hill, whi is one of the cities nearby Charlotte. The menu offers hot and cold coffee drink options with some limited pastries items. The service is super friendly and the vibe is cozy and definitely feels like a local business. I stumbled upon this adorable, quaint, eclectic coffee shop on my way home the other day and I wish I didn't. (This isn't one of those type of reviews) I don't live in the Mint Hill-Matthews area so I'm sad I won't be here more often. This cute little coffee house has many different iced coffee flavors well as as, beer and wine. Not to mention, I got one of their large cinnamon rolls and I'm pretty sure the top was made with some kind of brown butter icing. Nonetheless it was soo good!! I enjoyed the cinnamon toast latte and a cinnamon roll to go. The customer service was southern hospitality and kindness. I'm so glad I stopped in. Beyond that, they always friendly and the owner is likely to stop by your table and say hi or take your empty plate. It's in a quirky layout in what used to be a house which lends to its personality. You can find a comfy seat to relax and chat with friends or you can find a table to sit with your laptop and have a video call. If the weather is nice, you can do the same outside. Went this morning and was so shocked by how amazing this place was. Vibes were 10/10, atmosphere was amazing, coffee was great and a perfect size for a large, the bagel was SO yummy and the service was fast and friendly. Tons of people working here or meeting with friends. Parking can def be tight but totally worth it. It's about 30 mins from me but I will def be making the drive frequently. Loved it! read more

I don't remember what this place was called before they renovated and it changed to Forest Trail House but I give two thumbs up! It's clean, inviting and the outside area is exactly what I wanted from a local coffee shop. They have board games, outdoor games and a bounce house for kids to be entertained while parents can sit outside and enjoy their coffee. We tried the various food options and all were appetizing. They're still a work in progress according to the owner so I look forward to see how it evolves. Please keep the kid friendly activities going and outdoor area open year round! read more

It was okay. They promote a very different experience on their instagram. The food menu is about 1/4 of what's on instagram. They had no drink specials like they promote. The coffee itself was good. The breakfast sandwich was cold so I think it was just reheated not made to order. They completely forgot to give us something we ordered from the pastry case until I asked for it on our way out. I cannot say enough amazing things about Forest Trail House! We had our daughter's birthday party here. Colin and his wife, the owners, were exceptionally kind, hospitable and helpful. The staff was awesome, friendly and professional. The food and drinks were delicious. Finally, the atmosphere is beautiful! They did a phenomenal job of renovating this coffee shop and turning it into a spot that both parents and children can enjoy. They have engaging ongoing events. Couldn't recommend Forest Trail House enough! Their coffees, pastries and sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The quiche, cinnamon rolls, stingers and pumpkin muffins are amongst the favorites. We really enjoy the cocktail, wine & beer selections too! We have a blast at 'Questions with Colin' every Thursday evening; if you know you know The atmosphere is awesome...brand new (sorta ) space heaters on the patio keep it cozy even in cooler weather. New management took over for the old social house and saved this place. It's used to be a junkyard and now it's all cleaned up, has a bounce house and play area for the kids. Service and food are great. My wife and I are so happy to have a nice coffee shop in Mint Hill. read more
