Stable Hand is a cool spot to work. I came by in between several meetings while in South End to just sit, eat and work. It was a little busy inside so I grabbed a seat at the coffee bar after I ordered. They had outlets underneath so that was perfect! I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a matcha latte with oat milk and loved both. The sandwich was kinda tiny but it was only $7 so I wasn't mad at all lol. It was good and so was my matcha. The service was good and I just love this spot for chill vibes.

Wonderful coffee spot. I enjoyed a latte with a unique syrup, that I now forget the name of of course. Ha! Barista was very friendly and helpful in describing the flavors. While the pastry case was being restocked when I was there, I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich that now makes all others taste boring. The sausage and peppers were so flavorful. Highly recommend!

After moving to Charlotte, I was didappointed at the amount of coffee shops with lackluster lattes. Stable Hand was the turning point for me! I am even luckier that it's close enough to walk to from the rail line. The vibes in here are cozy and they have wine and board games too, which makes me wish they were open late. Staff is always friendly and the place is clean. The food portions are quite small for their prices, but I just skip food and get my daily coffee here.

I stopped by Stable Hand in South End for a pre-work breakfast with a friend, and it's such a charming spot! The minimalist decor gives the space an open, airy vibe, and with only a couple of people there when I arrived around 7:45 AM, it felt calm and relaxing. The sweet barista let me know I could place my coffee order right away, but the kitchen didn't open until 8:00 AM. I went with the Mexican Mocha (dark chocolate, cinnamon, serrano peppers, espresso, milk, and a toasted marshmallow) and the Bacon Brekky Sando (honey-glazed bacon, roasted peppers & onions, egg, cheese on brioche). The Verdict: Bacon Brekky Sando - Tasty but on the smaller side. I couldn't really detect the peppers or onions, and I think a sauce like sriracha would've elevated it even more. Mexican Mocha - I was expecting more heat from the serrano peppers, but it leaned more toward a rich, dark hot cocoa flavor. It wasn't very sweet, even with the toasted marshmallow on top. If you prefer a sweeter coffee, I'd suggest adding extra sugar. The barista also mentioned the White Miso Butterscotch Latte as a sweeter option, and I'll definitely try that next time! Stable Hand is a perfect spot for a laid-back morning coffee run--looking forward to exploring more of their menu!

great spot for working! coffees are huge and not super expensive. both drinks were fabulous. i got the white miso butterscotch latte. the flavors were not super overpowering! the brown sugar rosemary was the perfect flavor combo. great spot to work or catch up with friends. there's outlets everywhere and small/large tables. there's also a nice outdoor area for seating in the summer too!

Stable Hand was a cool, upscale coffee shop! I just got a black coffee, which is admittedly hard to screw up, but it was still pretty good, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was very unique, even for the standards of coffee shops. I don't if it's the kind of coffee shop that I would go to to study, but I'd love to meet some friends there sometime. Would recommend!

This spot has a modern vibe. I liked that each table had its own plug, which is super convenient if you're working remotely. One downside was that the tables were pretty close together, not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. I ordered the white miso butterscotch drink, which was good. The staff were friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Nice spot to work and grab a cup of coffee.

Cortado at Stable Hand, Charlotte

A delightful coffee shop, decorated in a rather spartan manner. On a Friday morning, quite peaceful as I enjoyed my second coffee of the day. I love coffee shops that have a cortado on the menu. It tells me that they're not one of those button pushing baristas like at the Green Siren people. No, this is real coffee and real art. Served in the proper short glass, this coffee was excellent. Sitting with my laptop and able to pound out a few emails and maybe even a Yelp review, this was a great little space for working. A very enjoyable morning indeed. Solid go-to coffee shop. Always receive great service, coffee is high quality and the food is delicious. You'll find people meeting for coffee, working remote or just enjoying the coffee shop. Definitely worth stopping in!

This was a very nice and relaxed coffee and wine shop! A perfect place to work or grab a drink with friends. It is small on the inside but the service and quality was great! I ordered the bacon sandwich and the brown sugar rosemary latte. Everything was pretty tasty and I would definitely recommend trying one of their seasonal drinks.

Cold brew

Good quality coffee (my cold brew was solid) and they have a nice-looking selection of wines. Some people were posted up working both in and outside so it seems like a solid wfh cafe. Service was friendly and efficient. Would be 5 stars if they had some gluten free snackies!

Really awesome space with great coffee. Have been a customer since they opened in 2019 and is my favorite cold brew in Charlotte. Everyone is always so nice and comforting. 10/10 recommend!

Didn't love this coffee shop. To be fair, I don't drink coffee but love sitting on patios and catching up on my work and reviews. It was pretty warm outside so I got an iced chai latte with oat milk. The staff member wasn't necessarily helpful or welcoming. I said I'm not a coffee drinker and was looking over the menu to see my other options and he kind of just stood there. Getting an iced chai here is not a good idea. The cup is a standard size but it was filled to the brim with ice and and had absolutely no chai taste. If anything it was like I was drinking cinnamon oat milk. Maybe a plus for some but not what I was expecting that for $6.50. My boyfriend got the 8oz house coffee and was disappointed because it wasn't hot. The inside was full so we sat on the patio for a little bit closer to the dog shop. Those tables aren't covered so we didn't get to stay long. Too much laptop glare. Based on the location I can see how this place can get and stay busy but it just wasn't for me.

Before South End had skyscrapers & Atherton Mill was a hub for food & shopping, there was Vin Master--quietly holding it down off the beaten path. The light rail-facing location, beautiful exposed brick, & low lighting make Vin Master both convenient & intimate. Pro Tip: Whenever they offer a Mega Tasting--extensive tasting for $25--run, don't walk. I'm hoping for a bubbles-focused tasting to start the new year off right. Cheers!

Recently, my husband and I ordered the olive dish to start and I was shocked it came out cold. The quality of this dish could greatly be improved by warming them up. The wine selections and cocktails were top notch. We enjoyed both a cocktail and a glass of wine. Both were equally amazing. I love that the vibe is log cabin-esk, and I think the wait staff are very accommodating to everyone enjoying their downtime here. The seating is very strategically placed so they have lots of options but you don't feel crowded. I've been impressed with the cleanliness of the dining area and bathrooms while eating here. Parking isn't that hard either. If you are looking for a nice easy afternoon where you're allowed to decompress with an amazing glass or bottle of tour favorite wine (or even a new one you have ever tried before), I cannot speak highly enough of Foxcroft. Side note, while you can bring kids as I have brought mine in the past visits, I don't recommend it. The food for picky kids can be limiting and it's not a great vibe if the kiddos get bored and antsy and rush you through your downtime journey. I hope everyone enjoys as much as I did!

We enjoyed these with a bottle of red blend wine. Their selection of wine is amazing. The brussels sprouts and the sliders were excellent. Everyone of our table asked to sample our brussels sprouts. I almost never eat donuts, but we ordered the signature donuts since it was his birthday. They were served with a chocolate sauce and a Morello cherry curd. They were just perfect without anything also. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and the water pitchers were refilled in a timely manner. Foxcroft food and wine is kept very clean. The noise level was low, so that conversations could take place even during the busiest time of the day.

For an appetizer, we ordered the burrata. If you enjoy tomatoes, pesto, cheese, and bread, just get it, you won't regret it! It was very flavorful! We almost considered ordering a second helping! For the entree, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon with a side of broccolini. It was the best broccolini I think I've ever had! It was seasoned very well and had a smokey taste from the charring. The bar was a big attraction, they also had great outdoor seating in the front and a really nice patio off to the back . Inside seating also nice. Big red couches were super cool ! The menu is awesome ! So many cocktails and ones I can't find in a lot of bars that I love . Brownie points for that! The food menu is great too, small plates and larger and nice bar food not your usual greasy fare. More Mediterranean vibe on the food. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were cool and laid back and engaging without being overly so. We had the Bijou and the vieux carre cocktails which I find hard to find in most really good bars. Here they were and made really well too. I know they require ingredients not all bars carry or can get in NC. We also had the Naan app which comes with tzatziki and the naan had a nice layer of zaatar spice on it . Went well with out drinks. I loved the Bijou . Such a good spirit forward drink. Unfortunately, this latest menu feels like a big step back. So many longtime staples are gone: no fries, no Brussels, no burrata, no flatbreads, and even the steak has disappeared from the mains. What's left feels repetitive, with multiple dishes centered around the same basmati rice and salad combination. We also tried the two new "for the table" additions, and neither felt worth the price. The "caviar" is simply roe at $25, and the deviled eggs with roe at $17 were underwhelming. Unless some of the old favorites return or there's more variety added, I don't see myself coming back anytime soon, aside from maybe Flight Night.
