Stable Hand does it again! We got the iced miso butterscotch latte and the seasonal iced stroopwaffle latte and I loved both! They always have such unique yet delicious flavors. When I went, it was a Saturday morning. Although it seemed busy, we still got our drinks within minutes. It is a great place to get some work done, have a coffee date inside or outside, or read a book. I'm excited to try their food next time I go.
Stable Hand is a cool spot to work. I came by in between several meetings while in South End to just sit, eat and work. It was a little busy inside so I grabbed a seat at the coffee bar after I ordered. They had outlets underneath so that was perfect! I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and a matcha latte with oat milk and loved both. The sandwich was kinda tiny but it was only $7 so I wasn't mad at all lol. It was good and so was my matcha. The service was good and I just love this spot for chill vibes.
Wonderful coffee spot. I enjoyed a latte with a unique syrup, that I now forget the name of of course. Ha! Barista was very friendly and helpful in describing the flavors. While the pastry case was being restocked when I was there, I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich that now makes all others taste boring. The sausage and peppers were so flavorful. Highly recommend!
After moving to Charlotte, I was didappointed at the amount of coffee shops with lackluster lattes. Stable Hand was the turning point for me! I am even luckier that it's close enough to walk to from the rail line. The vibes in here are cozy and they have wine and board games too, which makes me wish they were open late. Staff is always friendly and the place is clean. The food portions are quite small for their prices, but I just skip food and get my daily coffee here.
great spot for working! coffees are huge and not super expensive. both drinks were fabulous. i got the white miso butterscotch latte. the flavors were not super overpowering! the brown sugar rosemary was the perfect flavor combo. great spot to work or catch up with friends. there's outlets everywhere and small/large tables. there's also a nice outdoor area for seating in the summer too!
I stopped by Stable Hand in South End for a pre-work breakfast with a friend, and it's such a charming spot! The minimalist decor gives the space an open, airy vibe, and with only a couple of people there when I arrived around 7:45 AM, it felt calm and relaxing. The sweet barista let me know I could place my coffee order right away, but the kitchen didn't open until 8:00 AM. I went with the Mexican Mocha (dark chocolate, cinnamon, serrano peppers, espresso, milk, and a toasted marshmallow) and the Bacon Brekky Sando (honey-glazed bacon, roasted peppers & onions, egg, cheese on brioche). The Verdict: Bacon Brekky Sando - Tasty but on the smaller side. I couldn't really detect the peppers or onions, and I think a sauce like sriracha would've elevated it even more. Mexican Mocha - I was expecting more heat from the serrano peppers, but it leaned more toward a rich, dark hot cocoa flavor. It wasn't very sweet, even with the toasted marshmallow on top. If you prefer a sweeter coffee, I'd suggest adding extra sugar. The barista also mentioned the White Miso Butterscotch Latte as a sweeter option, and I'll definitely try that next time! Stable Hand is a perfect spot for a laid-back morning coffee run--looking forward to exploring more of their menu!
A delightful coffee shop, decorated in a rather spartan manner. On a Friday morning, quite peaceful as I enjoyed my second coffee of the day. I love coffee shops that have a cortado on the menu. It tells me that they're not one of those button pushing baristas like at the Green Siren people. No, this is real coffee and real art. Served in the proper short glass, this coffee was excellent. Sitting with my laptop and able to pound out a few emails and maybe even a Yelp review, this was a great little space for working. A very enjoyable morning indeed. Stable Hand was a cool, upscale coffee shop! I just got a black coffee, which is admittedly hard to screw up, but it was still pretty good, the staff was friendly, and the ambiance was very unique, even for the standards of coffee shops. I don't if it's the kind of coffee shop that I would go to to study, but I'd love to meet some friends there sometime. Would recommend!
This spot has a modern vibe. I liked that each table had its own plug, which is super convenient if you're working remotely. One downside was that the tables were pretty close together, not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind. I ordered the white miso butterscotch drink, which was good. The staff were friendly and helpful with their suggestions. Nice spot to work and grab a cup of coffee.
Solid go-to coffee shop. Always receive great service, coffee is high quality and the food is delicious. You'll find people meeting for coffee, working remote or just enjoying the coffee shop. Definitely worth stopping in!
This was a very nice and relaxed coffee and wine shop! A perfect place to work or grab a drink with friends. It is small on the inside but the service and quality was great! I ordered the bacon sandwich and the brown sugar rosemary latte. Everything was pretty tasty and I would definitely recommend trying one of their seasonal drinks.
Didn't love this coffee shop. To be fair, I don't drink coffee but love sitting on patios and catching up on my work and reviews. It was pretty warm outside so I got an iced chai latte with oat milk. The staff member wasn't necessarily helpful or welcoming. I said I'm not a coffee drinker and was looking over the menu to see my other options and he kind of just stood there. Getting an iced chai here is not a good idea. The cup is a standard size but it was filled to the brim with ice and and had absolutely no chai taste. If anything it was like I was drinking cinnamon oat milk. Maybe a plus for some but not what I was expecting that for $6.50. My boyfriend got the 8oz house coffee and was disappointed because it wasn't hot. The inside was full so we sat on the patio for a little bit closer to the dog shop. Those tables aren't covered so we didn't get to stay long. Too much laptop glare. Based on the location I can see how this place can get and stay busy but it just wasn't for me.
This place is so cute and the decor was very well thought of! If you vibe with minimalistic decor, then this is your place. I came in the late afternoon and was still able to find a seat. I love that their outlets are right under the table. I would say that their music is somewhat loud and makes it distracting to do work that requires your attention. They have pastries on the counter for sale... I wonder if they'll taste stale since they're out in the open. As for the drinks, I got a matcha latte and it was really pretty! The matcha latte itself was still a bit powdery and I could feel it on my lips when I was drinking it. But overall, this place was super cute and a good place to go do busy work or hang out and have a chat with friends!! read more
This is a cute little coffee/wine shop that has plenty of parking for the area. I will definitely return. Went to visit on a Saturday morning after our E2M workout at Freedom Park. I had the vanilla iced latte and the sausage and egg breakfast sandwich. The latte was good-not too sweet which I can appreciate. The sausage and egg breakfast sandwich was also really good but I wasn't a huge fan of the peppers and onions. Next time I will order it without. Definitely a nice little spot to hang out and get some work done or just people watch. Thanks Offline for another great spot! read more

Love the minimalist design of this coffee shop! The best part is the unique and colorful walls. They add a nice pop of color to the shop without being tacky. This is a very instagramable place where you can take fun pictures with friends. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and it was very good. I will definitely be back to try other coffees and food item. They also sell beer and wine, so I may try those too. This is a great place to meet up with friends and even get some work done too. read more

Solid little casual spot for coffee and brunch. We ordered some iced coffees, rice porridge and a chorizo biscuit that was super yummy to-go. Both items were still quite warm when we got home and very flavorful which was great. read more

We just moved to the Charlotte area and have been trying the local coffee shops. Would love to give this place more stars but there were a few issues I had. 1. The cashier was a bit rude, not what I expect at a craft coffee shop 2. The hot oat latte we had may as well have been iced, it was the most Luke warm coffee I've ever had Overall, it's great espresso, but that comes more down to the roaster than to anything else. Maybe they were having a bad day so I'll come again, but for now, 3 stars it is. read more

I love coming here! The vibes are so relaxed and the space is beautiful. I usually order a bottle of wine to share. They offer organic natural wines that are not sugared up. I also love their coffee drinks because they develop incredible seasonal favors that I've never seen anywhere else. The food is great, I have tried almost everything on the menu which also rotates with the seasons. Don't miss this spot to sip and snack and vibe. read more

Stable Hand has quickly become my new favorite spot to grab breakfast and a coffee. Its a cute, little place with homey vibes on the inside, making it a great place to work from home. The service is always great with super friendly staff. They offer seasonal beverages and items on the menu year round. I dream about the overnight oats. Stable Hand has quickly become my favorite coffee shop in Charlotte. Their latte is delicious! I got mine with almond milk. It's right off the light rail and perfect for a morning cup of coffee after walk/run. I've only ordered coffee-to-go, but I'd love to sit there sometime to do some work! read more

Had to get some coffee after dropping my pups off for grooming in South End, and like any good Charlottean, I looked for a local place place to support. I didn't have to look far. Good Bottle on Remount opened a small coffee addendum a while back, and more recently they shifted to just coffee. Anyways, they have a simple coffee bar menu with "brekky and lunch-ish" foods. I opted for a vanilla latte with their house vanilla, but was very tempted to try the seasonal flavor, which included tonic. Probably too much for my early morning palate, but next time for sure. If you need to mix up your coffee and breakfast routine, do not overlook these guys. Super nice, knowledgeable about their product, and happy to chat. PS- they have taken all of the appropriate measures for covid management- plastic screens up, masks at all times, demarcated "6 feet apart" lines, and their register is contactless. My stamp of approval. Still need local beer and wine? Don't worry, they have it. Just a lot less, so I'm assuming their picks are incredibly well thought out. The few beers I browsed included Resident Culture and Fonta Flora. I will be back! read more

Stopped here this morning for a vanilla latte and strawberry basil biscuit. The place has a very open airy feel and pretty quiet - lots of people on their computers or having quiet conversations. The coffee flavor was very good and not overly sweet. The biscuit was delicious with fresh strawberries and basil. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

This location has undergone some changes since I first moved to the neighborhood and for me a lot of the magic is gone. Originally this was a bottle shop with rows and rows of obscure and hard to find craft beers. Eclectic looking bottles with ingredients you would never think to find in a beer. They also had a small bar in the back with a few taps making it a viable place to hang out. Eventually they removed some shelve space and allowed Hex Coffee to operate inside as well. I was a little thrown off by this as the two didn't seem like a natural fit but I really enjoyed the draft vanilla latte from Hex and I grew to accept its presence there. After this final transformation all semblance of a bottle shop is gone. I saw one lonely shelf with beer on it but besides that there was hardly anything that indicated it was more than a coffee shop. The interior is what some would call minimalist but to me it looked the same as every other coffee shop. I came here with some friends since they wanted coffee and I wanted beer so I figured this would serve both our needs. We had to wait in a long line and the people making coffee were the same ones pouring beer so after I placed my order I had to wait for them to finish making several coffee drinks before they would serve me a beer. Then my friends had to wait for their coffee drinks which took quite some time and I started to wonder what the point of even ordering the beer was. My friends did not enjoy their drinks. After we all finished I kind of wanted another beer but I didn't want to wait in line and go through that ordering process all again so we just shrugged it off and left. I think they should just fully embrace that they are a coffee shop now. There is no semblance of a bar or even a bottle shop atmosphere so there isn't really a point to have beer. Before it felt like a relaxing place to sit but now it seems hurried with lines of people just coming in to grab coffee and not much seating room. This concept may still do well with the trendy South End crowd but for me it just felt like a waste of time. I don't think I will be back. read more

Such a cute coffee shop! The art on the walls on the inside is awesome. I stopped here after a long walk and got the warm apple biscuit with whipped cream and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely want to come back and try other things on the menu. They also have beer and wine! Was easy to find a seat since it was nice out but pretty busy on the inside. read more
My barista was a slender blonde with ink up her arms. She had a passion for coffee and made just enough connection to make me feel welcome while still being time-efficient. The coffee was brewed perfectly and the serving size was delightful. I'm a "hot, black, and bitter" kinda guy, so I don't love a lot of liquid with my go-power. Great vibe in the room, VERY busy, so that was a great sign, and the price point was A-OK. All in all? An excellent experience. I look forward to getting my afternoon pick-me-up when I'm back in the neighborhood from Stable Hand. read more

I love a quaint little coffee shop and this one is now on my list. I admit I didn't know or hear about this until a Yelp Elite Perk came about. It is so cool inside and actually outside as well. You can sit and observe the scenery of South End. And this stuffed bacon biscuit is so good. So good!!! And the prices are not gonna break your pockets. Even better!!! read more

Stable Hand is usually my favorite breakfast spot. Lately, they have been SO off. The best item on the menu is the savory porridge, but the last couple times I've come in they've been out of porridge. The employees seem to be in a bad mood and unapologetic for being out of staple items. When I asked if a coffee item was in stock, they said it's out but didn't offer any alternative options. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was so small. Disappointed by my experiences here lately! read more

Spent a great Sunday afternoon here catching up on work. The staff is friendly and the interior is very cute. I love that they have indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great place to come any time of day because they serve alcohol in addition to coffee and breakfast. I had an iced latte and a delicious sausage breakfast sandwich. read more

This was my first time visiting here for a business meeting and it is a newly opened establishment in Southend. They serve coffee tea some pastries and some hot breakfast foods. They had a very limited menu to choose from but things that sounded good. There also was NO pastries for the most part and nothing really struck me to purchase and the case was pretty empty so makes it not exciting. They only had honey liquid for my tea and no sugar options like Sweet n Low which there should be. I ordered what sounded great a Sourdough bread with salt butter and jam week the bread was cut a bit too thick and was cold!! Should be HOT and lightly toasty. The salt butter was nice and the jam tastY but over all not good due to the bread preparation. My associatw got the same thing and felt the same way. The atmosphere while new and bright was stark and a bit cold not where I would stay to hang out and work. All in all just nice but not special and did not make me want to come back again. I asked if they had a card for owner or GM to set up a meeting to talk about consulting for them and no cards so I left mine! I hope they call me. I would not say I would not recommend but not really saying you need to check it out either. There are too many other spots that do it much better! read more

Great staff, nice lay out, plenty of sitting, 6 small tables and two large tables, could easily allow 30 people. Great coffee, HEX Coffee, same owner as before but with a new take on the ever changing atmosphere. They do have food as well. read more
