The employees are friendly and efficient, and will bring your order out to you at a table in the food hall once it's ready. I ordered the Bacon, Bacon waffle, which had bacon, brie, and hot honey. It was delicious! The melty brie and the crunchy bacon had a great texture, and the hot honey gave it a slight kick. My friend had the Berry Loaded waffle, with strawberries, blueberries, Nutella, and whipped cream. The fruit and whipped cream were both very fresh. I love a good liege waffle and was excited when this opened up at 7th Street Market. They have a variety of sweet waffle combinations or savory waffle combinations if you want to try their creations. Or you can opt to create your own combinations. During my first visit, I chose the savory bacon bacon waffle combination. It had melted brie cheese slices, chopped up bacon, and hot honey drizzle. It wasn't busy, since I came around 3PM on a Wednesday. I placed my order and once it was done, he brought it over to me at my table. Super nice service and friendly team member! The waffle itself was delicious. Had the pops of sweetness from the sugar pearls as expected from a liege waffle. I could probably eat 3-4. The brie cheese and bacon on top was good and I enjoyed the sweet and salty combination. However, I could personally have done without the hot honey. The honey made it's little too sweet for my liking. If the honey had more of a kick to it, then I might have enjoyed it more. This place is a hidden gem. Although the chairs in the dinning area are very uncomfortable, the food makes up for this shortcoming. My husband and I like to have Sunday morning breakfast here as we take a small break from our twins. The owners of Sweet Crunch are very prompt with their high quality cooking and make sure we leave each time very satisfied. I would like for them to use compostable or biodegradable forks and spoons, but baby steps. I first started with the berries waffle and then switched to the s'mores waffle. Both are tastebud explosions worth repeating. The prices are very reasonable. It would be great if they expanded into the West Side (me being selfish here). Ha! Oh dear...I have another vice in 7th St Market aka the place where diets go to die. After lunch from Geno D's and wine from the wine shop, we grabbed dessert from SCW. The Good: the waffles were BOMB. These are not your "Belgium waffles" you may have had from IHOP - these are the real deal. Small, doughy, and crunchy from the caramelization from the sugar pearls embedded in the dough. We share the Maple Bacon waffle and added Nutella because Nutella belongs on EVERYTHING. It was amazing. Not too sweet which was just right for me. I loved the caramelized sweetness added with the different types of sweetness from the maple drizzle and Nutella. My partner had never had Nutella but had waffles in Belgium and gave SCW a big thumbs up saying they were spot on to the waffles in Liege. I absolutely can't wait to come back and try the Bacon and Brie waffle. The guy and girl manning the operation (maybe the owners?) were extremely friendly as well. The Meh: I had to share this waffle with my partner because calories....bleh. I want my own haha. The Bad: nothing - try these nuggets of deliciousness like NOW! As soon as my wife and I learned of this place it went right to the top of our list of places we have to visit! It's conveniently located in 7th street station, right off the light rail. They have a nice selection of amazing waffles with your choice of toppings, or choose from one their pre-made offerings like the maple bacon waffle that I had. The waffle itself is different from other waffles you may have had in the past since it uses more of a dough than a batter to make them.
