Amazing dessert selection, beautiful ambiance (dim lighting), various seating available, and amazing service. Our molten lava cake came with flames when our waiter brought it out! It was so pretty and even more delicious!
My friends and I wanted some dessert and cocktails and Yelp helpfully put Crave in front of us. We popped in early on a Friday and were able to get a table. Cocktails were great and desserts were generously proportioned....everything was good and service was great. This seems to be predominantly a hookah place as most of the tables had shisha but I was happy to note that the smell wasn't overwhelming and the ventilation was on point. Sometimes at hookah places, my eyes start to itch and my clothes smell when I leave but not here, so I thought that was great. I think this place becomes more of a scene when it gets later (the bouncer was ready to bounce as we were leaving) but if you come early, it's a relaxed and fun environment.

I had such a great experience at Crave, and a huge part of that was my server, Paige. When I first arrived, parking was a bit odd to find, I believe they offered parking validation, but I couldn't find exactly where that was. I ended up finding parking down the block, not too far. When I came inside the bar was completely full, and it wasn't clear if anyone was leaving soon. I put my name on the waitlist for a table (about a 45 minute wait), and mentioned it was just for one. The interaction with the hostess felt a bit awkward, almost as if she was surprised I wanted a table for myself. I stepped out to kill some time and returned when my table was ready. I was asked to store my small to go food box in the cupboard near the hostess stand rather than bring them to my table, which felt a little unusual, but she did walk me to my seat. Once seated, everything completely turned around. Paige immediately made me feel comfortable and welcome. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and kind, and she checked in at just the right moments. The hookah and drinks were tasty, and her energy truly elevated the entire experience. She made honest and friendly conversation, it felt less like dining alone and more like being taken care of by a friend. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made great recommendations, and ensured everything came out perfectly. I love how they had so many espresso martini options! I opted to try the banana bread, from her recommendation and it was delicious! Their Bleu Cheese Stuffed crafted cocktail was great! Their version of a dirty martini, such a perfect blend. Not too dirty or too light. Paired nicely with the bleu cheese olives. I appreciate they had that as an option! Their hookah was made to perfection! It wasn't harsh once throughout the whole time I had it. Based on her recommendation, as well as what I was craving (pun intended haha) I ordered the Guava Fresca (guava, kiwi, mint). Perfect refreshing blend. Overall, customer service like this is rare, and Paige absolutely deserves recognition. If you're dining at Crave, ask for Paige, she's the reason I'll be coming back. Exceptional service from start to finish.
Loveeeee crave!! This is definitely the spot for a chill night with the girls or for a date night with your man! The ambiance is grown with low vibes and they have plentiful selections of desserts but they have small plates that range from dips, burgers and lamb chops. Always a great time here !
This place is definitely vibe. Parking can be a little confusing based on the location. The staff is friendly decor modern and artsy. They have some great dessert options im sure you'll find something you like. Try the smores If you're not in the mood for sweets they have a top notch bar with carefully crafted cocktaisl and hookah available. I went with a few friends and we enjoyed our time.
Service: Attentive Vibe: Perfect Desserts: Stunning presentation but just average. If they only tasted as good as they looked. I've come here three times and that has been my conclusion and dessert is my jam.
This place is sooo cozy! I came here in my sweats really wanting something sweet and this ended up being the perfect place. The menu has something for everything. The chairs are comfy. Lots of seating options to come solo or with friends. I was disappointed with the molten chocolate cake. The cake was not moist , it was rather dry. The fire is cool but I wouldn't order it again. I'll probably try the chocolate cake next . The crème brûlée was delicious. Crust was perfect and the inside soft and creamy . The double strawberry shortcake was my favorite. Really light, soft and not overly sweet. Very delicate . I thoroughly enjoyed it . There are a few dessert drinks that I'd really love to try . While service is a bit shotty. I would absolutely recommend .
Crave Dessert Bar is such a cute spot with a fun, modern ambiance! It's perfect for a date night or girls night out or simply just a sweet treat. The desserts were delicious and beautifully presented, with just the right level of sweetness. Service was friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a go to if you're craving something sweet & want something fun to do!
Poor customer service & small portion sizes. I was solo and sat at the bar and the bartender may have acknowledged me once other than when I had to get his attention. Took the guy forever to come and take my order (7/17 6:45pm - 8:15pm). I finished my food and started looking back at the menu as I wanted to order dessert, but the bartender was not coming to me so I ended up saying forget it and asked for a to go box for my artichoke dip. This man proceeded to bring over a box with no container to put the dip in. I let him know that I need an actual container for the dip and he brings over a condiment cup, like what do I supposed to do with that. I said what do y'all place food in for Togo orders and he finally went back and got the appropriate container. See pictures. Food was subpar and not worth the price. My total was $54 for lamb chops & artichoke dip.
I have been to the Crave in Asheville a few years ago and was happily surprised to find out there was a location in Charlotte as well! It's unfortunate they don't take reservations since I wanted to come for my birthday, but I came here on a little solo dinner date instead. The inside is very vibey and chic, as a lounge should be, and it would make a great date spot or special occasion location. They do offer hookah, so it can get a little smokey. I sat outside because it was such a beautiful day. Saturn was my server and she was super cool and friendly! I had planned to just get dessert, but the food menu looked delicious too, so I had to indulge. I had the pesto flatbread with chicken as well as the pâte à choux for dessert. Both were great! And thanks to Saturn for the dessert recommendation! All of the staff were nice and pleasant. Bathrooms were very clean and chic as well. Would definitely love to come back!
Torn between a 3 and a 4 but overall a place I would try again. Service was good. Drinks weren't exorbitant in price and seemed like good quality. We got the espresso martini and chocolate cocaine and enjoyed both. Falafel bites were a great light starter and perfect for something small late at night. What fell really short was the tiramisu. It's such a classic dessert, but it was honestly one of the worst I've had. There was no flavor, and the texture was not right. I would give it another try for some of the savory food, and additional cocktails, but for a place that advertises as a dessert bar, failing at a tiramisu was surprising
I have literally been coming to Crave for over 15 years. I was a fan then and I'm still a fan now. I have a serious sweet tooth so I love that this dessert bar offers a variety of sweets for different pallets from the drinks to the cheesecakes and the cakes, I can always find something that I like. On this particular visit, I sat on the patio, which I had never done before, but it was nice and quiet and very relaxing on a Sunday evening. I ordered the cheesecake and it was garnished with caramel popcorn, which added a nice touch to look at, but the popcorn was stale so I don't really think it was necessary, but it did make the plate look pretty. The cheesecake was delicious. Couldn't finish it all, but I took it home and finished it the next day. Our server was great. She was very attentive, friendly, and gave good suggestions. I haven't been to this place in YEARS, due to several bad experiences that felt very much like blatant discrimination in the past. Truly. But a good friend of mine said that they go all the time and haven't had any issues and wanted to get me to try it again. So, we went on a Saturday evening around 6ish. We didn't necessarily have any issues getting in, but the hostess did say that her security might have an issue with the shirt my friend had on, even though he was very dressed up. It made me uncomfortable and seemed threatning almost. But she let us in and everything was fine. I don't understand why Crave always acts this way. But then when I walk in I see people of non-color dressed any kind of way, casual, etc. It just really rubs me the wrong way and for it to happen to me EVERY time I go, only leads me to one conclusion... So, anyway. We were there and we ordered hookah drinks and had a good time. Our server was super sweet and chill. She really saved the visit. I had a good time, but I most likely will not be back again. read more

I was in town and stopped by on a friday at 12ish. I was greated and seated immediately. The concept of this place is amazing. The service was excellent. The ambiance and music was the perfect vibe. I love that they bring you water with cucumber, so refreshing . I tried the double strawberry shortcake and it was a 10/10. I definitely recommend. Im not a hookah person but I will say the love 69 was good and smooth.The drinks were good aswell. At this point I need to come back to try more desserts. read more

Came here for drinks and dessert, had a short wait but that was expected because this place is very popular. Visited on a Thursday evening and sat outside since it was such a nice evening. The desserts were amazing, I had the bourbon pecan cheesecake, any my companion had the molten lava cake. We were both extremely satisfied with our selections as they were plentiful and overall great with an amazing presentation. For drinks we ordered the classic expresso martini with tequila, and the flower bomb, both which were strong and tasty. I had initially ordered the pain killer and it was weak so I wouldn't recommend that drink. Overall a great experience, and would definitely visit again. read more
I've been here once before over a year ago (and also one at the Asheville location), but my husband has never been...so I chose this place for our date night. We arrived early around 5:30 pm on a Saturday night (no reservations), and were able to get seated immediately...ending up at this lounge seating. Somewhat posh (though very earthy and laid back?) in ambiance, but the tables were quite low...a bit too low to eat comfortably. Think this bothered my husband more than me...but we vowed to request a high-rise table/seating next time. Maybe because we came too early, but the lighting wasn't ideal...a bit too bright for such a dark, sultry bar-lounge. Not sure if they're going for that vintage look or what, but to me, the place looked a bit worn down in the light. If they dimmed the place a bit more, the place might have looked nicer. Again, they probably do this later in the night? Overhead music was very fitting...in volume and variety. Service was very bubbly...though a bit inconsistent. We shared 2 small plates, Spicy Shrimp Flatbread Pizza and this Short Rib au Ju (Trio), plus an order of Kettle Chips...and also 2 desserts, Creme Caramel and Molten Lava Cake. For drinks, my husband got beer (??), and I got their Hibiscus Bellini again (loved it last time). I loved everything we ordered. All the dishes were beautifully presented and thoroughly delicious! There were some kinks in the ambiance-vibe (as mentioned above), but the foods made up for it. It was a toss-up between 4 and 5 stars, but since I'm such a dessert whore, I must drop 5 stars again. Took my close friend here to celebrate her birthday! The deserts and shareable were amazing and not too pricey. The waitress was nice and she recommended the most popular items! The ambiance is perfect for a lounge. read more

My friend wanted to come here to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, when we arrived around 10pm on a friday night, we were told there was a 2 hour wait time. So we decided to head elsewhere. They do not take reservations. It is better to arrive early before the night crowd in order to be able to get seated. I've been here numerous times, and I always have a great time. Just unfortunate, my friend wasn't able to experience it. They do have a parking garage next to this establishment with a code at the end to pay for parking. If it's full, then you do have to try to find side street parking or park in the many lots around uptown. read more

Came here when we were visiting town for a wedding and it was recommended to us. We were a group of 3 and when we walked in the hostesses were so rude to us. Terrible attitude it almost made us turn around. Luckily we saw some other friends of ours already had a table and we asked if we can join them and the hostesses barely even acknowledged we were talking to them so we just decided to do it. So all in all there was 5 of us. Luckily the server was really nice and made up for the stuck up hostesses. He took really good care of us and recommended menu items to try. We got a bunch of desserts to share and each of our drinks was presented so beautifully. Everything tasted good, food and drink wise. The ambiance is nice it's like intimate but chic. Bathrooms were clean. Overall I enjoyed my time here other than the beginning of dealing with the hostesses. Would come back again! read more
This place is absolutely amazing. It has all three things that I love, including dessert, great cocktails, and a well-made hookah. The service is also super friendly, everybody was so nice and accommodating. Except for this one guy that kept trying to get people to sit down. That was a bit funny. I loved this place went somewhere came on a Friday night the service, food was amazing but the smell from the hookah while not overwhelming was a bit much for me. Our server Alinah was so sweet and amazing, friendly and helpful. We got 3 orders of sliders crap dip, and dessert the bread pudding is to die for and I'll be back for that. The drink were delicious we got a few hibiscus Bellini's a French 75 and a few beers along with an old fashion. Drinks are too die for. Crave is a cute spot that is tucked away, but provides a nice, swanky , yet laid back vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and well balanced playlist. Arriving around 6 on a Saturday yielded a no-wait scenario, but expect a wait of at least an hour if you arrive later, especially around 8/9ish on the weekends. While parking can be a bit limited in the area, the free parking deck behind the building provides a convenient solution. (I didn't see the parking deck, but I was informed of it by our server.) I tried one of the premium flavored hookah and it was just ok. I would say it is a tad overpriced compared to other hookah places, but I would like to try other flavors to make a better judgement of the hookah. The standout service from Sabrina, our attentive server, and the delightful array of drinks made the visit worthwhile. The key lime pie martini, with its perfectly balanced sweetness and subtle boozy kick, was a highlight, while the crabcake sliders stole the show with their warm, seasoned crab and soft buns. Whether it's a date night, first date, or a lively girls' outing, Crave proves to be a versatile and enjoyable dining spot worth recommending and revisiting for further drink experimentation and tasty bites. read more

I wish I could give more stars. Crave has been one of my favorite places to go to when I'm going out alone. The atmosphere, service, drinks and food are are always great! However,the hostesses and very rude and I almost turned around but the security at the door was kind and welcoming. I hope my next visit can be more pleasant and welcoming. read more

I lived in Charlotte over 8 years ago and this place was a go to for me. I came here almost every weekend. I'm so happy to see that they are still open and still as great as always. The drinks are strong and the desserts delicious. It is such a chill and beautiful place to have a date night or hang with friends. read more
I have a bit of a mixed review! Loved the atmosphere and vibe of the place but the service needs some much needed work. Service: Our waitress Kaitlyn was so amazing and patient! Couldn't give her enough stars! She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and our orders was correct. She even got us free shots for the mishap with the hostess stand. HOWEVER, we were hovered over by the 'security' guards in the tight shirts and cardigans. When asked why they were hovering because they were making my friend uncomfortable he responded 'because I can' in a nasty tone and overall had a disgusting attitude for someone asking a question that is patronizing his establishment. I understand there are policies and protocols, but it would behoove him to explain their policy to new patrons before being condescending and dismissive to those trying to diffuse the situation. I have never experienced anything like that from an establishment, and I've been to many. Waitlist: I came in on a Friday night with a party of 7 and was put on the waitlist for an 1.5 wait which was expected for such a busy night. You're able to track your place in line via a link they send you and they text and call you when the table is ready so we were able to explore the area in the meantime! When we got back, we were promptly seated but I believe there was a miscommunication between the hostess stand and our waitress because it took about 20 minutes before we met our waitress/got water, etc. Ambiance: When you walk in, it's a very cute vibe. There are booths, kind of round sitting areas and a bar in the middle. It's kind of loud due to background music and talking so I wouldn't go if you're expecting a lot of intimate conversation, but more for girls night out or even a date if it's not the first one! Food: We ordered hookah, and I had the blue crab dip and bread pudding. Both were delicious. The blue crab dip had a lot of pieces of crab and the bread pudding was warm and came with a cream that complimented very well. The hookah was a little too harsh for me and the flavor was just okay. Parking: I'm not sure if they had their own lot but I ended up parking across the street for about $12.50 for 10 hours. read more

The spinach dip was tasty, nice and creamy! The pineapple cheesecake was also good, I'd definitely order both again! Drinks were good, could have been a bit stronger. Our waitress was pretty attentive and the ambiance felt grown and sexy! Was a bit pricey, considering we ordered one dessert, one appetizer and a few drinks. The hookah was okay, was giving issues for a while. Overall, I did enjoy myself and would go again! read more

Business casual. You don't need a suit....just look nice. I would say no sneakers.
My sisters bday she wants to do hookah and it's not on website anywhere how much is it?
I beleive the most basic is $25. If you add two flavors, they add ten dollars I think. You will only get one pipe to use the hookah
