Came here recently Saturday night and it was packed! Rooftop is fairly small, but the vibe was chill, and DJ played some good music. Bar area was really crowded, so it took a bit to get drinks--bartender was cool though! They have a cute flower decor sign "wish you were here" that is great for a photo op but there were too many people standing in front of it to get good pictures.
Small roof top bar area with a good view. We had a few beers and specialty drinks. The drinks are pricey and the service was slow. Plus there is a mandatory 20% gratuity... seems common for the mandatory tip and slow service to go hand in hand. The view was worth the trip. We ubered there but parking did not look fun on a weekend evening.
The Charlotte nightlife scene is growing quickly along with the rest of the city. Novelty House reflects this, as you could easily find this place in New York or LA. It is nestled Uptown on 5th street and offers great views of the city. It isn't very large which gives it a more intimate feel and they host a wide variety of local DJs to play a variety of different genres. I don't stay out as late as I used to, but when I'm Uptown and looking for an upscale yet chill atmosphere Novelty House is a great choice. Also everyone loves the mural so if you're out with friends and want an awesome picture it's definitely a great place to stop by! Whether you come to dance or just vibe Novelty House is a fun spot!
Somehow I completely missed this place in Charlotte. We went on a Sunday at 12 right when they opened for my mother in laws birthday. The bar is on the 5th floor. We got there at 12pm but the bouncer was late so we couldn't get in until 12:15ish. He checked our IDs and we went right up to the bar. The bar is covered in flower decor. It was beautiful even during the day. It certainly is aesthetically pleasing for photos. They have a menu to scan for drinks. The scan is hard to use and wouldn't read on my phone so I had to use my husbands. They had an assortment of cocktails. I got a gin, cranberry, rosemary based drink. It was delicious. Overall the space is a lot smaller than I expected but love the aesthetic. There was only 1 bartender who did a great job. I would enjoy going back to see this bar at night. They also have domestic beer options which was great for my family.
Ok. First off there' are several floors to start your night. Third floor is Dahlias wine and cocktail bar. But don't let the name fool you. They serve all kinds of mixed drinks and beer. Charcuterie boards as well. We went on a Monday so we were the only ones in attendance. The decor was very modern. Very clean and upscale. Ordered the sassy drink. It was very good. Ok afterwards we went to the rooftop bar on the fifth floor. The decor was very nice. It was floral with a dimly lit setup. The bartender was spot on. He was very helpful and quick with service. The drinks were on point. Didn't like the hot pink drink as it was a very bitter tasting drink. All in all the rooftop bar was lit. Would come back without delay.
Beautiful location. Ambience could be better. I love the rooftop atmosphere. I came during the day, and the service was lax. The bartender couldn't really be bothered. I just wanted a glass of wine. I was the only person there. Another couple came, and left promptly. It was pretty hot on the rooftop. But the bar staff wasn't really helpful either. You have it scab a QR code for the menu and it just didn't want to work. I just wanted a decent glass of wine and she was unable to assist. I didn't feel welcome. But it is a beautiful place.

They decorate the location nicely and there's areas to take cute pictures! The staff were quick with making drinks even with it being packed!
Instagram famous I'm told, my wife brought us here. Is next door to Truist bank, On 5th floor is this rooftop bar nestled in downtown Charlotte. There are some pics to be had in front of flower wall and around balconies. It was just after 6 when arrived so patrons were sparse. Have 1-2 drinks enjoy scenery and socialize for bout hour you will be good.
Service was good, we went for a birthday on a Friday night. The DJ was good and our group had fun. We took many pictures of the skyline. We didn't eat anything, only had drinks and shots.
Such a great spot. It's cute and comfy if you get a sofa to chill on. Drinks are okay but pricey. There are different floors for cigars or beer. This floor is mostly girlie cocktails. Worth checking out, especially on a beautiful night! Music: A++
If you are chasing sunsets on rooftops, skip this spot. There isn't a real view of anything but buildings. But if you just want a small chill space to enjoy the breeze then sure check it out. The service was outstanding as soon as I stepped off the elevator a nice lady found me a comfy spot. The overpriced drinks look nice but don't have a drop of alcohol, so good luck with that.
The aesthetic at Novelty is so pleasing. The DJ played r&b music with a techno beat. I tried one of their mild cigars which was super smooth. The service was impeccable. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. I would 100% recommend.

While visiting my best friend in Charlotte during Labor Day weekend, we decided to hit up one of the many parties going on around the city. One of which was located here at Novelty House, which is a rooftop bar situated in a popular area for other restaurants and bars. I cannot remember the names of the drinks we ordered but my friend was able to get a mocktail made by request. It eventually started raining so we moved inside to the cigar bar which is owned by the same business. The workers were nice and service was quick and pleasant. I will return when in the area. read more

If you want FB/Instagram or just great pictures, this is the place go get them at. Visited on a Friday around 6ish pm and it was still fairly empty which was great for us. We sat down and ordered one drink as we were making time to attend a comedy show. Waitress was super friendly and efficient. They have bar seating as well as a couple of high tops and then lounge seating towards the edge of the place. Beautiful sunflower back drop and it was def a fun lil spot to hang out at. Ive been here before during night club hours and it was super busy but the DJ was spinning all the right music. Def a vibe and wouldn't mind dropping in again if im ever in the area. read more

Beautiful view up high from the city streets. The location was beautifully decorated in flowers and set up nicely for seating multiple people. I actually went first time in the morning to check out the view and have a lunch drink then was excited to see night view before closing. I was happy to see both aspects of the roof top and would recommend either or really. Service was fast and drink options were good with plenty to choose from. The price was a little high but expected from the location. They even had a DJ at night which was very good and really set the mood for a great night out. Hope to go back once in the area again. read more

Novelty House is always a beautiful idea. I learned that they specialize in vodka and gin based cocktails..if you are looking for bourbon, rye, whisky and scotch..that is just one flight down in Club Havana the cigar bar. I say that to let you know that if you are looking for a vodka, gin citrus based cocktail you are in the right place. For a Manhattan or Old Fashion just head downstairs. I had a paper airplane and was disappointed but had a pour of Gentleman Jack on a rock. read more

We truly enjoyed the Bly Sky cocktails, catered brunch and fun vibes! Of course, the highlights were the beautiful floral decorations and skyline views. We also met some new Foodies!!! read more

Eh, to be honest I wasn't impressed. It has a cool vibe with all the fake flowers, but the drink menu was awful. There were no good specialty cocktails on it in my eyes. I ended up getting a glass of wine for $8. The bartender was not friendly, and my friend and I felt rushed to order and then pay. There are better rooftop bars downtown imo. read more

INTRO: It's about time that Charlotte had its own iconic, Instagrammable rooftop bar! This bar emits a California-esque atmosphere that is guaranteed to repel all negative energy and bring out your good vibes, even if you didn't think it was possible. It surprised me, and it'll surprise you too. DRINKS: Their cocktails are reasonably priced and aren't diluted at all. They are extremely generous with their alcohol. Their cocktails are full of flavors and are comprised of unique combinations of ingredients. VENUE: The ceiling and the walls of the venue are BEAUTIFULLY decorated with faux flowers that are attached to a wire mesh. The white/pink blend of flowers contrasted with the clear blue sky, coupled with the slight breeze and the sun smiling down on you, will make you feel some type of way. You'll take a sip of your cocktail, and suddenly, you'll be deep in your feels. Your eyes will be instantly drawn to the huge neon sign, located adjacent to the bar, that says "wish you were here". Any picture uploaded on social media with this sign will make all of your friends wish they were at Novelty House with you, and you'll be the center of their jealousy. DRESS CODE: There IS a dress code, and it is available on their website. Please take a look at their clothing requirements so that you don't get turned away at the door. PARKING: Street parking is available. Parking garages are also a short walk away. WORTH IT? YES, NH is a MUST-VISIT rooftop bar to complete the Char-LIT experience. read more

I had a great time celebrating a birthday with a few friends. It's a great place for a night cap and stogie. The rooftop was closed so we went to the cigar bar. Now, the NH has great bartenders, servers, staff, and music. However the ventilation in the lounge is freakin horrible! When we walked in, the lounge was full of smoke. OMG!!! I asked a staff member to open the patio door. It was a little chilly but...the smoke was so thick it was unbearable. Still go...the rooftop is the place to be for sure. And last but not least they have selfie mirrors in the bathroom! So, so, so fun! read more

Absolutely adore this place! My new favorite cocktail spot. Went here for new years and the music was good (old early 2000s hip hop) bartenders were fast and efficient. Drinks were absolutely delicious!! My favorite was the purple sky which tasted like a purple lemonade. Me and my bf also loved the spice girl - tasted like a yummy apple cider with a cinnamon sugar rim. Will be back we loved it here:) read more
So this is my first time here so y'all already know. I came here for an Offline brunch. The food was good although not all of it was hot. Not really here to review the food though since they don't normally have food. The Purple Sky drink was very refreshing. Loved the house made lavender syrup. It's a very cute spot and I will definitely return. read more

My wife and and I went to Novelty House and Havana Smoke and reserve over the weekend and it was amazing! The entire staff was excellent from the bartenders to the security team. We first checked out Havana and got their signature smoked old fashioned and it was really nice. The decor was very upscale. We went up to the roof top and it was amazing. We have not scene a rooftop in Charlotte that had this kind of of a vibe. The flowers set this place apart from all the others in Charlotte. We loved the music and again the service up there was also top notch. The views are fantastic. Def recommend these places for an after work drink or a date night. We will def be coming back. read more
Came here on a night out and think we ran into R&B night, but loved it! the space is a lot tighter than I expected and the place gets pretty crowded. The neon signs though and the decor really bring the vibes. Drinks were reasonably priced, but definitely took a little bit longer to get. read more

It was initially hard to find the entrance to the building but once you do that and make your way up to the roof, you'll get to experience a beautifully decorated rooftop bar and sip on good cocktails read more

Had my family visit from NY & took them here so they can experience some CLT rooftop views. It started raining shortly so we end up going downstairs to cigar room but overall i enjoyed the scenery! read more
