Blandest wings I've ever had. Absolutely NO seasoning.
    Telicia C.

Located in the Omni Hotel in Uptown Charlotte, I actually had high hopes for this bar which serves a very limited but basic bar menu. We came in for a quick drink and an app before going to do other planned activities. I will say the bartenders we decent and the cocktails were good we ended up getting the blandest chicken wings ever. Let me be clear, the wings were crunchy and hot when served however, they literally had no seasoning and no flavor, not even a small flake of salt. I will sum up this review by saying that I walked away from this meal only eating 1 wing and feeling sorry for the chicken that lost its life just to be deep fried and served to me as the blandest chicken wings I have ever had, Rest In Peace, you deserved better than this!

Beautiful atmosphere and roof top bar! Drinks were mediocre, if you're looking for a liquor and mixer or domestic beer then that won't be a problem for you. I was hoping for an old fashioned or other crafted cocktail. Will be back

    Vegas in Charlotte.

I'm from Miami and I've been to pool parties in Vegas. Now, this isn't that but it's definitely a reeeeeally cool option here in Charlotte. Though they didn't really replicate these places, they definitely adopted their pricing model! Sheesh! Super expensive. Well for Charlotte anyway. I don't mind paying for quality but there's no way I should have a $108 tab for 2 people and walk outta there basically sober. That's my biggest complaint. If the food wasn't GREAT this would have been a 3 star review. Outside of that though I had a blast! It's really cool that the Omni opens the pool bar up to the public after 5pm daily. Logistically it's a really easy process for non-hotel guests. Just check in with security (no food or liquids allowed) and after checking your bag they'll let you up on a private elevator and give you a key card to enter the pool/bar area. To add to the Vegas/Niami feel you can rent a cabana or couch area that seats 4 - 12 people and this starts at $400. They're understaffed but everyone was really friendly and helpful. The staff continued to check on us the entire time there so we never felt neglected. I'm super excited to go back and watch a football game on the jumbotron while lounging in the pool with a drink. Notes: - Get the fries - Try the short rib grilled cheese Pros: - Great vibe - Great view of the city - Food is delicous - Themed menu that changes with the season Cons: - Super WEAK drinks

Coin Bar is a very cool place to hang out on top of the Omni hotel. You can get up there if you are staying at the hotel or ask for a key at the front desk. You need to take a second elevator up to the pool deck and then find a seat. The main draw here is either the jumbotron tv or the view. Both are equally impressive. The views of the Charlotte skyline are pretty amazing and the spacious deck allows you to soak it all in. The huge TV set projects the game of the hour in amazingly large HD quality. The sound isn't too overbearing. There are plenty of comfy outdoors sofas and chairs to lounge around in. The pool is nicely lit up and the whole vibe seems a little more LA or Miami than Charlotte! Staff was pretty hands off on our visit on a weeknight. They didn't come over to take orders from our group on a couch so we just ordered from the bar. Other tables had waitresses, we didn't. Check this place out if you want some awesome views and the biggest screen in town for the game!

I brought a friend from out of town on a Tuesday for a pool day. The Coin Bar itself is closed during the week right now but we were allowed to bring any outside food and drinks as long as there was no glass! Towels are provided and the chairs and views are amazing. Personally, I would never pay for the VIP 4 or 8 person loungers. They are black couches with no area to actually lay down on a chair so I think the chairs are much more worth it if you are booking through ResortPass. The only thing that could have been improved is that the TV wasn't turned on until about 2:30-3pm and fresh ice water wasn't available until that time either. Both of these things should be offered for the full day otherwise you're basically paying for a chair at a pool. I will definitely be back on a weekday and curious to see how the pool and bar are on the weekends.

Our table of four rolled up right before closing (15 min late to our reservation) and we were able to be seated with a gentle reminder that the kitchen would be closing soon (totally understandable). We were taken care of swiftly and didn't feel rushed at all (we tried to be considerate. We were one of two or three tables at this point of the night). I've had takeout from here before and liked it (one of the Thai dishes). My veggie sushi roll when I dined was perfect. Service was perfect. The only thing I wished for was a few more vegan options on the menu as I expect a little more variety at an Asian fusion restaurant. Cute front patio set up too, when al fresco dining is on the brain.

We went across the street and they didn't allow dogs on the patio so a quick Yelp search led us to Jack Beagles. With a dog in the name, I figured it would be dog friendly and I was right... it's event dog friendly inside which was great since we had the baby and it was hot out. They were happy to seat us in the dining room and since breakfast was about to end and lunch was about to start, we had the option of both. Some ordered breakfast and a few of us order the tenders because our server said it was one of the most popular items. I don't normally go for tenders at a new place, but they had garlic parm which drew me in. They were pretty great and served with waffle fries. My buddy got this massive burger that I was eyeing as well and I had a little bit of food envy when it came out. It was called The Big Bear and was sporting 2 Patties, 2 X Bacon, 2 x White American Cheese, Pickled Jalapeno, and Chipotle Aioli. I would definitely try that next time. Only odd thing was that when the burger came out, my buddy asked for a knife other than a butter knife to cut it since it was so big. Instead of offering to bring it to the kitchen to cut it, she came out from the back to say they don't have any steak knives and the only sharp ones are with the cook. No big deal, but a little odd. Anyway, we had a great lunch before hitting the road that accommodated all of our needs.

Our visit happened to be during Charlotte Hot Chicken Week so of course we had to try their special! For only $8 you could get the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was really good! The Chicken was nice and crispy, not too spicy and the thick cut pickles really brought it all together. Also enjoyed were the Botz burger and cheese fries. I loved how they choose to serve waffle fries over regular fries. There is just so much texture and flavor going on there. They have a big menu of mac and cheese dishes that sound super interesting so maybe we'll try that next!

We started with the deviled eggs, which were not too creamy and very well spiced. We then ordered cranberry mimosas, a chicken and waffle, an a veggie omelet. The cranberry mimosas were so fun because we got to make them ourselves! The chicken and waffle was ok- I requested gravy on the side but it certainly needed the sauce. The waffle was a little dry and the chicken was average. The veggie omelet was excellent and I enjoyed the fillings. I'm not a potato fan, but my friend enjoyed the potatoes. The biscuit was standard too but complemented the veggie omelet well. I'd say the star of the show were the fried French toast sticks- they were hot, sweet, and hit the spot perfectly.
