I've been dying to visit this place since it opened a while ago. My friend and I decided to visit on a Thursday around 7pm. Surprisingly it wasn't packed at all and we were seated right away. I would recommend visiting on a Thursday to check it out . Reservation: reservation highly recommended for the weekends Location: South End on the same side of the street as QC Pourhouse Parking: Good luck finding street parking in South End Parking is available on the street or in the parking deck 2 blocks away. I lucked up on a spot near Superica and walked. Setting: Intimate spot with limited seating. Drinks are names after the 7 deadly sins. They also have a few small plates options. Cocktail: Sloth 3/5 the cocktail seemed like a good idea from the menu but it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. Lust: 3/5- again, this cocktail could've been better. Small plate: chicken skewers 3.5/5 it tasted like a regular chicken skewer. Nothing to brag about. Service: Our server was nice but he only checked on us once. The food took FOREVER for little skewers. Overall, I was disappointed in the visit. The cocktails were not good, the food was okay and the service could be better. The place is cute but I probably won't visit again.

Absolutely Yes!! This place is a hidden gem. The vibe inside is adorable and the music fits the part perfectly. The bartenders are friendly and accommodating. Plenty of Insta worthy angles for pictures. On the drink menu - get the Love. It's light, sweet and goes down too smooth. I will be back!!

Quick Synopsis: Broken Promises (BP) is conveniently located in the heart of South End on Tremont Avenue & sits on the same block as other South End staples such as Common Market South End, QC Pour House, Hi-Wire Brewery and many other great local establishments. BP is a 25+ hangout that provides great music, high-end cocktails and fantastic music. They have themed nights (look it up on their social media and/or website) to fit the flavor of any client seeking for an evening/night out. Drinks: Broken Promises does have a drink menu that highlights casual to top-shelf liquors with domestic and craft beers for the beer drinkers. The drink menu is beautifully presented on an iPad so you can illuminate your eyes right before the drinks tantalize your taste buds. I wish I could name some favorites but it's mostly the drinks that include GIN or TEQUILA/MEZCAL. Service: Ok...the bouncers are super cool, especially if you visit frequently, but make sure you have your ID and you're 25+. Also, make sure you dress "appropriately" (I'll leave that to your own interpretation). The bartenders make the drinks very well and the service is relatively quick. With any place, that depends on the volume of people at the venue but BP has always provided great service to me. Ambiance: The atmosphere is a combination of New York City nightlife meets Tokyo which is an amusing and 'vibey' theme. When there's a DJ, most nights, it's EDM music mostly mixed with some rap/hip-hop and occasional top billboard 100. It's a fun environment! :-) Food: Not available, but there are pretty other options to go eat such as QC Pour House, any food truck(s) outside of Pins Mechanical, Tremont, Hawker's, Tyber Creek and several other options. NOTE: All are pending on their closing times. We need more late night eateries in South End. All in all, go check out Broken Promises if you're looking to have some fantastic cocktails, listen to great music and enjoy a grown & sexy vibe. Cheers MATE$! ...::: TrizzyO_o :::...

Finally found some time to make my way here. It's small but very cute and unique. I love that it's a 25 and older crowd. No clashing into the college social circles. Unfortunately they were not serving food the day I went. I was disappointed about that since I had brought my friend there to eat as well. Due to that inconvenience we left after having one drink. The service was very professional and kind. The drinks are curated on the seven deadly sins and the food menu only had about 4-6 items. It definitely gave me downtown Manhattan vibes of New York City. Cute and chic. I know I mostly enjoyed my time here because we were the only ones and by the time I left there were only 2-3 other parties. I'm not so sure I'd enjoy it here when it's a full house. Nonetheless, this place is decent. I will return. Tip: Friday - Sunday I believe it's reservation only with a $200 spending minimum.

Broken Promises was such a nice vibe, despite us not sticking around for too long to try out their drinks and/or food. We came in on a Tuesday night as they were preparing for a drag show. We didn't stay for the show but the restaurant has several quotes all around about "broken promises", which I thought were quite funny. The staff was polite as well so overall, it was a short, but good experience.

I was debating between a 3 star or 4 star review and figured that would be a 3.5 star review and should therefore round up. Anyhow, I was glad that although this is a club in the evening they are more of just a fancy bar for the first few hours after opening. The decor is beautiful and exactly my style. I thought the drinks based on the seven deadly sins was neat and the drinks were pretty good. Food wasn't being served since we arrived shortly after they opened. Service wasn't that great, it seemed like we were an inconvenience to them.

3.8!! I wish I could Yelp 1/2 stars lol. This place is super cute and easily accessible. I think they may be the sister property to Lost & Found. At times it definitely gave me Lost & Found vibes but smaller (no patio). The decor was very cute, colorful and modern. Menus lit up when you opened them and each lounge area had a small vase of red roses. They offer food but I don't think it's prepared in house but instead like down the street at a food truck or something as I saw guy running in and out of the place bringing food. The music was ok, I think house cuz I don't recall knowing any of the songs that played but it may have just been filler music until a dj arrived. I did notice a dj booth. We came on a Saturday evening around 730p. We were able to walk in and get seated without any reservation but you can make reservations as we were asked did we have one at the host stand. Our waitress Sabreen was nice, quick and efficient. We let her know we were dropping in for quick drinks before dinner reservations and she wasted no time getting us our drink orders! Our drinks took a while to come out though and it wasn't booming in there. She didn't take very long to bring us our check as she knew we were tight on them so I appreciate that. Now the check surprised me a bit but it could be because I haven't been out out or treated anyone in a while. 3 shots of casamigos came to $48. 3 cocktails & 1 mocktail + the shots & automatic 20% gratuity came to $124. Omg and as I'm writing this I realized I added an additional tip forgetting gratuity was already included SMH. Not a fan of South Beach prices & look but a south end experience. Also not a fan of auto gratuity anywhere especially when the group is less than 8 and you necessarily are getting 20% worth of service.

Overall, this place was kinda cool, the drinks were delicious and the female bartender we had was just the best! The ambience was cool for a kinda dead Thursday night. There were so veryyyyyy creepy older men that I had to sternly tell at one point to please leave us alone, and it is quite a small place, but overall, we had a nice time and would go back. At least for the tasty cocktails, even for $16.

One TV, you can't sit down unless you reserve a table even though all tables were empty. Had to go to the peasant area and stand. No draft beers.

South End has all the new fun restaurant, bars and lounges popping up everywhere. I stumbled on this location even though I follow them on IG simply because they don't have awning or building signage. Definitely gives vibes of "if you know, you know", which I am kinda into. It was the later afternoon on a hot summer day so we all decided, lets just go in. Its not large inside but its well laid out and is very art pop meets lounge vibe. It has a very small patio area which I can see being nice when it cools off. Service was nice enough. My cocktail was delicious but the art is what I LOVED. The neon signs and digital art is very impressive. I plan on going for an after dinner drink soon so stay tuned...

Fun, lively place…read more My friends and I were in town and wanted to have one last drink before we jetted out the next morning, so we ended up in trendy South End. First thing we noticed was how HUGE this place is. I feel like everywhere we turned, each section had its own vibe and its own designated bar. With the loud music, it was more loungey than anything and the crowd was on the much younger side. Canopy seems to be the go-to place in the South End. We did not encounter this kind of lines or crowds anywhere else in the area. Ordered a grapefruity drink (Our Flowerchild) off the menu and it was pretty good. Price was alright - definitely cheaper than what I'd pay in NYC (which is already atrocious in itself).

I bet it gets packed here, though, as the surrounding area is quite busy. We parked at a lot down the street, It's behind the train track so parking could be a little difficult. There seem to be a couple of garages near by, though. For drinks, we had the Three Wiseman and Fizz The Season. Very booze forward but tasty and enjoyable. The bartender was extremely skilled at his art and carefully curated our cocktails. We also had a little photoshoot while here, and it's the perfect spot to do so! I'd love to come back here and try other drinks. Highly recommend!

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

My friends and I got the koala lalala and were bummed that after paying so much, it was mostly soda water and barely any alcohol for almost $19. Not worth it imo. I did however love the music selection. It was very nostalgic. Despite the technically difficulties they were having, my friends and I had a great time dancing the night away to our favorite middle and high school jams. My only suggestion would be next time for the dj to put his device on do not disturb. Every time a notification came through, the music would lower and was very noticeable. My friends and I laughed it off thinking we were just hearing things at first only for it to continue followed by the speakers completely going out. Overall it was nice to dance and be around holiday cheer but I don't think it would be worth a repeat experience.

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
