1 star. I honestly wish I could give 0.
I've been to Dahlia's multiple times and never had a problem until this night. I had JUST paid $32 for two drinks when Rolando, one of the security guards/bartenders, kicked me out.
The manager (Desiree or Des) told me and the officer, that Rolando whispered inside of her ear to tell her that I was talking about her. She then made my two drinks and proceeded to tell Rolando to "Handle It". The officer has that evidence.
He knocked my hat off my head and wouldn't let me get it back. Practically dragged me to the door but I went without any resistance. Then he snatched the drinks out of my hands and slammed them in the trash.
Then him and another security guard started forcing me toward the elevator. When I pulled my phone out to record what was happening, he snatched my phone out of my hand and turned it off. Once we got in the elevator, I was jumped by Rolando and the other security guard and then thrown outside onto the ground.
I had to walk 3 hours, on i77, home because I took a Lyft there.
My Ray-Ban glasses were broken during all of this too.
I've gone back to Dahlia's MULTIPLE times with the police trying to get my phone back. The last location my phone showed was at Dahlia's before Rolando took it and turned it off. The officer even asked for the manager's number, and the bartender gave him the restaurant's regular number instead.
When I went back, I checked for security cameras. They have two cameras by the exit, right next to each other. One is facing down at the floor and one old school one (like the one from dollar tree), that could be pointing to the wall and the steps or the elevator. There is no camera by the elevator or in the elevator so it seems like they do this on the regular to know when and where at the perfect time and the place.
When the officer finally got to speak with Rolando, he was getting aggressive at first. And somehow nobody wants to give out the name of the security guard who has multiple reviews on Google talking about him. But I know his name is Rolando.
And for anybody wondering, Rolando also works at The Local, the place right beside Dahlia's.
I've never had an experience like this at a bar before. I went out to have a couple drinks. I paid my money, and ended up with my money stolen (by the manager, Des), who was working drinks at the bar, my phone taken (by Rolando), who was also behind the bar beside the manager, my glasses broken (by Rolando), my hat knocked off (by Rolando), my drinks thrown away (by Rolando), and getting thrown out on the ground.
Dahlia's needs to seriously look at who they have working security. This is not how you treat people.
And Rolando -- get a life. The officers know that you take things and lie about it. Go take anger management classes. Brush your head.
Never again. $32.64 for two tequila red-bulls is ridiculous anyways. Have fun with my property HOEBOES.
RESSSSPPPEECCCCTTT to the officer who helped the best way he could.
