I've been to Queen Park Social twice now on a Saturday for the Vintage Market, and it's always a good time. The vibe is right--good energy, good food, and a great mix of vendors to walk through and check out. If it's warm outside, I love that you can easily go inside, grab a drink, cool off, and then head back out. It's the kind of spot where you can just flow and enjoy everything without feeling stuck in one place. I had the fries this time and they were bomb--definitely worth trying, even though I didn't take a picture. I didn't buy anything from the vendors today, but I connected with some really cool people, and that alone made it a great experience. Overall, it's always a vibe. I had a good teambuilding night with my company here. We came on Tuesday, 530-830pm and had a side room/bar reserved with drink tickets and a dinner buffet. We also had game cards for 2 hours of play. Our spread included toast, salad, pulled pork, pulled chicken and mac and cheese. They had an assortment of beer and wine but I just got a Diet Coke. The food was very average tasting, not bad but definitely nothing spectacular. Service was good and waitstaff cleared dishes and glasses regularly. On the games side, they had pinball, basketball, skeeball, space invaders, axe throwing and a race car game. We enjoyed ourselves for the few hours, and it was a good size for about 50 of us. There are a few bowling lanes too, though that area was reserved during the same time for another corporate function. I liked the decor in the common areas but the bathrooms here are actually disgusting. Every single stall in the female side was not flushed and just really dirty. That definitely needs attention. The entryway, the check in table, and all the rooms were decorated for Christmas. They had a Christmas cocktail menu which was so cute. I got the sleigh-mopolitan which was good! We also ordered chicken tenders and fries while we were there. The food is subpar and not good. We were not greeted at the door. We proceeded to the bar and employees were looking through christmas decorations trying to find out what we wanted. I picked this place out of a hat to treat my nephews post Christmas. Bar was on fleek. Decorations were nice and festive. The remainder of the place was just alright. There was bowling in the other room and a make shift arcade room and food to boot. The plates were big and authentic. I was not impressed. Queen Park Social has been a mainstay in LoSo for years now, and has always been a good stop for a fun night out. They have bowling, pop a shot, and many other lawn and arcade games. The space is huge with private rooms for events. I have fond memories of doing a live fantasy football draft here. The food is much better than you would expect for a sports bar as well. On the bar side they have plenty of TVs along with a massive horseshoe bar with plenty of seats, so if you're not in the mood for gaming or bowling, you can always belly up and watch the game. This makes a great spot to have a large gathering of friends due to the amount of space and activities, and always makes for a good time! read more

We played a few arcade games and got something to eat. I must say, they make a quality burger here. I've had it before amongst other things and it never disappoint. My husband has the cheesesteak and enjoyed. They texted us once it was time for bowling. The shoes need to be replaced like today. My friends hosted an engagement celebration for my fiancé and I here. This was a great place for people to interact over food, bowling, drinks & video games. I was really looking forward to our reservation at Queen Park Social, which makes this experience disappointing. We canceled more than 72 hours in advance due to the upcoming inclement weather that will undoubtedly make road travel unsafe. For our safety and honestly, for the safety of their staff--we felt it was the responsible decision to cancel. Despite the advance notice and the clear weather-related safety concerns, management refused to process a refund. I understand having policies in place, but there should be some flexibility when cancellations are made well ahead of time and involve conditions that could put people at risk. It's unfortunate, because situations like this leave a bad taste and make it hard to feel confident booking again, especially during unpredictable weather seasons. We picked a table that was dirty and moved to the next one. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. We ordered a couple beers for $10 each, not a great start. Cocktail and wine were even higher price. The menu was a decent variety of pub style food, wings, burgers, dis. I ordered the variety platter with cauliflower buffalo bites, brisket sliders, and wings. The cauliflower bites were soggy, the brisket sliders barely had any meat, and the wings were ok. The server applied my promotion from Offline but entered the wrong amount so I had to have them change it, sigh. I tipped well but won't be back. Pins Mechanical and Dave and Busters are highly superior to this place. The place is all gray and boring, little art, no window treatments, no plants, no cool lighting. On the Saturday we went the DJ began playing a variety of music right around 9 pm. There is also an outdoor seating area where we watched members of a bachelor party play corn hole. The games are fun (a huge Ms. Pac Man, skeeball, air hockey, bowling, pinball, etc) and the DJ in the lounge was cool (yes, there's an adjacent small club area if you wanna dance.) It's a fun, nostalgic atmosphere. The food ( typical bar fare) was actually decent. My buttermilk chicken tenders were well seasoned as were the gallon of fries that came with it. The staff wasn't that good and had to go to another bar in the place to order a soda because they completely ignored me at the area I was at. Also, some of the bartenders ignored the women and just focused on the men instead. Other people in our group complained about staff not getting their order right and/or getting cold food as well. This a Kaylee, a bartender at queen park social. She was beyond rude to and several other darker complected patrons during an event that was held at the venue this evening. Kaylee sat and talked to her friend or boyfriend, whomever he was so long my group had to personally walk up to her and ask for service then she rudely said I can get a bartender on the other side which was really weird being that we asked her specifically. After that it was all downhill. Her body language was so rude as well as her tone and service to the extent another patron asked if everything was alright with her. When asking her was the house tequila decent quality she nonchalantly shrugged her shoulder and rolled her eyes pointing at the bottle and vehemently saying "it says tequila, that's all I can tell you." After giving her the shots she was noticeably irritated with us and printed the receipt out and slammed it on the bar. Eventually a manager came to speak with her which further infuriated her and while we were at the other bar at the venue she walked up to us once again and grabbed the trash out of the receptacle and mean mugged me. I visited this location with my company as a department outing. I had never visited before that. The parking lot was PACKED! Luckily, I found a parking space. I was surprised since it was only 4:00pm. Apparently, this place is known to host company gatherings. We were assisted immediately. The interior gives me a retro industrial feel. The workers were very helping in assisting our department. We had an appointment for bowling from 4-6pm. Everything that we needed as right there so we were able to start playing immediately. There's couches and high table seating available in that area. We ordered nachos, onion rings, chicken wings, and quesadillas. My burger lacked seasoning so therefore it was very mediocre. This is my second time coming here but I'm not sure if I'll ever come back. This was my first time in Charlotte and I was rather impressed with this establishment. It had a little bit of everything and the food was pretty good. The staff was not roaming and engaging as much as I would like, but I had some persistent people with me so it worked out. If there was a con it was the mega Jenga blocks that ppl were playing at a few of the tables that seems to fall every few minute. Came here after we did an escape room and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was not as busy as we thought it would be. Grabbed a couple of drinks and sat down for a bit, and enjoyed a few rounds of Uno with their big deck of cards they have!!! It was so much fun. Afterward, we decided to play a few of their games. Ski ball, air hockey, driving games, ping pong, all that good stuff! They have about 3 bars, and every time we went, there was never a long wait. I feel like this is kind of like Slingshot located in Southend, but this location is a bit smaller. They used to have pool tables on the other side of where the arcade games are located but when we walked to that area, we were surprised to see that it was turned into a Lounge area with a bar, VIP tables a DJ and dance floor area. I was surprised to see it EMPTY of a Saturday night. My husband and I took the opportunity and had a blast being the only ones on the dance floor and practicing our dance moves! Just out of curiosity, we decided to hit this place after dining and drinking at OMB...since located right across the street. I've heard a lot of talk about this place, so it was somewhat as I've expected...but possibly darker and more industrial looking? The bowling area was pretty cool, interesting...but the spacing of the bowling aisles seem a bit forced together. Anyway, we weren't in the mood to bowl, or play any of the games really...but just checking out the place more or less. Maybe I've outgrown some of the fun, but I wasn't too thrilled with the scene. Not sure why, but the layout felt awkward...and the ambiance wasn't conducive to relaxation. But then, this place isn't created to relax lol! Guess I'm too old..or introverted?? I'm sure that my old 20 or 30-something self would have loved it. I DID notice, however, that there were kids there as well, with their parents...so I guess this scene did bring in slightly older folks as well. Been to Queen Park Social quite a few times and it's a good place to have fun, eat and drink! The food and drinks are good and there are plenty of options for both. Inside, there is a good amount of seating if you want to sit and eat. They also have a big bar inside and a smaller bar toward the back of the building. An outside patio area is also available, with additional seating. Also, there is a big game room with life-size jenga, shuffle board, air hockey, checkers/chess, etc, as well as a bowling alley inside, with about 8 lanes or so. Came on a Saturday around 4 pm. This venue is located within a cluster of other breweries, so me and my party planned to chill and eat here then go beer hop around the area. There was a main room located around the bar area with seating but what really caught our eye were the bowling lanes! We went to the bowling counter to put our names on the list and were given a buzzer that would notify us when our lane was ready. We only had time to grab one drink at the bar before our lane was ready, which only took about 5 minutes. We rented our shoes and were showed to our lane by the host. Thankfully this location was only operating every other lane due to social distancing, so me and my party felt relaxed while bowling and drinking. The bowling area was sooo cute! Pictures do not do it justice. The music that was playing was actually fire too, I had to pull out my Shazam a few times to add some songs to my library. This place is great for games and drinks, it's fun if you like having fun! The reason for the 2-star rating is the blatant lack of service. My party and I were having so much fun to the point where we forgot to eat! Couple that with the fact that our server only came to introduce herself to us as we were leaving, and it's pretty clear to see why. When we were showed to our lane the host informed us that our server would be right with us. We were not approached by her until 2 bowling games later (a little over an hour), already changing back into our regular shoes and putting on our jackets. When she first approached us she asked if she could get us anything. When we informed her that we actually already bowled and were about to head out she replied with "Oh yea I saw you guys up here but didn't think y'all needed to be served." *awkward silence* This place wasn't busy by anyone's standards, 15 people at most were there, pretty empty. Why our server didn't think we needed to be serviced until we were headed out of the door? I'll never know. My suggestion for improvement would be to greet every patron that is assigned to your section when they first get there, not when they're literally on their way out of the door. Also, don't just assume that we don't want to be served for whatever reason, I've never heard that excuse in the service industry before. That was a first! read more
