This is basically an adult arcade across the street from Old Meck Brewery. It has pinball, basket hoop shooting and a variety of games. It also has a bar for drinks. We stayed for a bit and had a good time. This would be a good place to go on cold and/or rainy days and spend some time playing games

    Entryway for Christmas

I frequent this hangout spot but I specifically went for the Christmas decor. It was so cute! They had the place decorated nicely! The entryway, the check in table, and all the rooms were decorated for Christmas. They had a Christmas cocktail menu which was so cute. I got the sleigh-mopolitan which was good! We also ordered chicken tenders and fries while we were there. The food is subpar and not good. I suggest eating elsewhere but this place definitely has good Christmas drinks and good vibes.

We were not greeted at the door. We proceeded to the bar and employees were looking through christmas decorations trying to find out what we wanted. I picked this place out of a hat to treat my nephews post Christmas. Bar was on fleek. Decorations were nice and festive. The remainder of the place was just alright. There was bowling in the other room and a make shift arcade room and food to boot. The plates were big and authentic. I was not impressed. There was a big sign on the door to alert us Queen Park would be closed for a special event. More games, welcoming service would have been a bonus!

Queen Park Social has been a mainstay in LoSo for years now, and has always been a good stop for a fun night out. They have bowling, pop a shot, and many other lawn and arcade games. The space is huge with private rooms for events. I have fond memories of doing a live fantasy football draft here. The food is much better than you would expect for a sports bar as well. On the bar side they have plenty of TVs along with a massive horseshoe bar with plenty of seats, so if you're not in the mood for gaming or bowling, you can always belly up and watch the game. This makes a great spot to have a large gathering of friends due to the amount of space and activities, and always makes for a good time!

Was looking for something fun to do over the Christmas break, and stopped here for bowling about 2pm on a Saturday. Upon arrival, they were really busy and were told it would be about an hour wait. We played a few arcade games and got something to eat. I must say, they make a quality burger here. I've had it before amongst other things and it never disappoint. My husband has the cheesesteak and enjoyed. They texted us once it was time for bowling. The shoes need to be replaced like today. You're basically walking on the ground and it shouldn't be a fee for how raggedy the shoes are. Smh they should not even rent these things out. Horrible

My friends hosted an engagement celebration for my fiancé and I here. This was a great place for people to interact over food, bowling, drinks & video games. The couches were great for our older relatives and the bar stools and high top tables were great for everyone else to connect. I was pleasantly surprised how tasty the food was!! Everyone raved about the sliders. The chicken wings and strips were great too!! The staff was very helpful and the service was great. Definitely a great spot for any group gathering!!

Idk how the system decides to incorporate animated features on the players faces but i like it.

Paige and Tim were AMAZING. We had so much fun celebrating my boyfriend's birthday! Very accommodating and kind. We had a few drinks/bites to eat at the bar (Mac and Cheese Balls FOR THE WIN- they're SO GOOD!) After, we decided to indulge in bowling. My stepmom who was in a scooter with a broken leg had zero issues getting around as the place was very spacy. We had the best time and can't wait to come back :)

The place is fun but be aware of grossly overpriced drinks ...LONG ISLAND ICED TEAS ARE $15 a forced gratuity of 22%. So 1 Bacardi and 4 LI Iced teas end up being $92.94

Randomly found myself here on a Friday night. So just know, it's basically an adult arcade so leave your high expectations at home. The staff was friendly enough but service is sloooooow. The games are fun (a huge Ms. Pac Man, skeeball, air hockey, bowling, pinball, etc) and the DJ in the lounge was cool (yes, there's an adjacent small club area if you wanna dance.) It's a fun, nostalgic atmosphere. The food ( typical bar fare) was actually decent. My buttermilk chicken tenders were well seasoned as were the gallon of fries that came with it. It's a HUGE portion btw. Spinach dip was flavorful and arrived with fried artichokes, that no one asked for lol, on top of the otherwise warm, tasty, cheesy dip. Chips were crispy and fresh as well. I opted for red wine which prices range from $9-$15-seems steep for a place like this. ‍ Anyway, it's a cool little spot to chill with friends and enjoy some friendly old school game competition. Arrive early. It started to get noticeably crowded after about 10:30 and parking might be tricky.

    Kaylee the bartender
    Brandon C.

This a Kaylee, a bartender at queen park social. She was beyond rude to and several other darker complected patrons during an event that was held at the venue this evening. Kaylee sat and talked to her friend or boyfriend, whomever he was so long my group had to personally walk up to her and ask for service then she rudely said I can get a bartender on the other side which was really weird being that we asked her specifically. After that it was all downhill. Her body language was so rude as well as her tone and service to the extent another patron asked if everything was alright with her. When asking her was the house tequila decent quality she nonchalantly shrugged her shoulder and rolled her eyes pointing at the bottle and vehemently saying "it says tequila, that's all I can tell you." After giving her the shots she was noticeably irritated with us and printed the receipt out and slammed it on the bar. Eventually a manager came to speak with her which further infuriated her and while we were at the other bar at the venue she walked up to us once again and grabbed the trash out of the receptacle and mean mugged me. Everyone else was pleasant and super attentative to everyone but Kaylee definitely left a bad impression on more than a few patrons.

Overall. Really cool space. Food/drink- we got wings, shrimp po boy, chicken salad, chicken cheesesteak, chicken sandwich,,sweet tea and ciders. We went towards the end of the night and our wings and fries came out lukewarm/cold( myBe the fryer was turned off?!). that was a little disappointing as we were hungry but our server( John brown), got us fresh wings and fries. And you can do flats... yaaasssss! Vibe/activities -sooo much going on. Bowling, watching sports, oversized games. Great decor, clean, and a terrific adults playground. Service- John Brown was an awesome server and really made our experience. He was attentive and friendly. We got overcharged and had some food issues but he was right along side us making sure we had a good experience. *online menu different than in person. Was really hoping for those Brussel sprouts.

Ask the Community - Queen Park Social

    What is the age limit?

Hey Joe, there is no age limit until after 9 PM when we turn in to a bar, so then it's 21+. Come be social with us soon!

Anyone been here to watch a Miami Dolphins game? Apparently there's a group in Charlotte that comes to QPS to watch.

Yes! I popped in one Sunday with a friend to grab a drink and there was a pretty decent size group of Miami Dolphin fans there watching the game. They had a special menu and had their section decorated.

    Where are the pinball machines?

    Yes there is

Is it 21+? Looking to go there for 21 birthday with underage (19/20) friends.

They've never ID'd me at the door but they do at the bar.

What time is happy hour and pricing?

Unsure of this..most happy hours are around 5pm-7pm but they are technically "illegal" in NC

    Are you guys pet friendly?

We allow pets on both of our patios!

The menu leans Latin-American with some Southern influence, and you can tell there's real intention behind the food--not just trendy plating. A few dishes that really stand out: * CrispyPan Seared Chicken - super clean execution, great char, and balanced with bright, fresh flavors. It's simple but done right. * Fried Beef Tacos - easily a must-order. Crispy, rich, and layered with acidity so it doesn't feel heavy. * Ceviche - fresh, citrusy, and well-seasoned. You can tell they're not cutting corners here. * Street Corn (Elote) - bold, messy, and exactly what you want it to be. * Gator Bites - crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. Fun dish that's actually executed well--not just a gimmick. The atmosphere is just as strong as the food--high energy, great patio, and a space that feels alive without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place you can take a team, a date, or just roll in after work and still feel like you made the right call. Service is typically on point too--friendly, quick, and they keep things moving even when it's busy, which matters. Only thing that throws people off sometimes is parking, but don't let that stop you: There is parking behind the restaurant if the main lot is full. Overall, this is one of those spots that hits consistently--good food, strong execution, and a vibe that keeps people coming back.

Beyond the excellent service, however, everything else was incredibly mediocre and overpriced. While the atmosphere is kitschy and I appreciate the attempt at a modern, California-influenced diner model, the food simply doesn't live up to the hype. The flavors are flat and tired. The pasta is run-of-the-mill, and the tomato sauce tasted as though someone had just blended a can of tomatoes and poured it straight onto the dish. High-quality touches like the blue cheese crumbles in my salad or the buffalo mozzarella on my chicken parm couldn't make up for the lack of depth in the actual cooking. To make matters worse, the blue cheese dressing was watery. My first glass of wine was slightly stale and shorted on the pour--clearly the dregs of an old bottle. This was confirmed when my second glass arrived much fuller and significantly fresher; it was obvious someone was just trying to empty a bottle that had been open for a week. Others in our group ordered burgers, which came out charred to a crisp, leathery, and barely edible despite being ordered medium. Aside from our wonderful server, this place is a definitive skip given the prices they are charging.

It's one…read moreof those comfort foods I don't eat often because it's so rich--but when I see it on a menu, it absolutely catches my attention. That's exactly what drew me to The Southern Pecan in SouthPark. Here in the South, they call it country fried steak, and I'm happy to report this one did not disappoint. I met a colleague there for lunch, and everything about the experience felt easy from the start. The restaurant is located in Phillips Place, a lovely little shopping area that feels a bit polished and upscale--with shops like Orvis, Tory Burch, and even a Restoration Hardware restaurant nearby. They do offer valet parking, which is a nice touch, though honestly parking is easy enough on your own. We had reservations through OpenTable and were seated on the patio, which was absolutely delightful for this time of year in Charlotte. The weather was perfect, the setting was relaxed, and the service started off warm and welcoming right away. Now, the food. The country fried steak was beautifully cooked--crispy on the outside, tender inside, and served with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy that hit all the nostalgic notes from my Texas upbringing. I paired it with a vegetable side (I believe it was broccoli or corn), and it was a classic Southern plate done right. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, and to finish, we split a praline bread pudding, which felt like the perfect Southern ending to the meal--sweet, comforting, and indulgent without being overwhelming. The staff was friendly and attentive, and one of the things I continue to appreciate about Charlotte is how easy it is to connect with people. We even chatted with diners at nearby tables, which added to that welcoming, community feel that makes dining out here so enjoyable--especially for someone coming from the Bay Area. Prices felt fair for the quality, the setting, and the portion sizes, and overall the experience left a great impression. Bottom line: If you're craving a solid Southern classic like country fried steak--or just want a relaxed patio lunch in a charming part of SouthPark--The Southern Pecan is definitely worth a visit. And as someone happily eating my way through Charlotte and the Southeast, this stop was another reminder that the journey has been a delicious one.

I've heard rave reviews about this place so Michelle & I went for Sunday Brunch…read more They recommended a reservation so we had one @ 12n. It was already quite busy when we arrived and it's not clear where your parking options are. People are pulling up to the entrance and dropping people off so it gets jammed up and chaotic, of course people are running late so those BIG Yukons and Suburbans are making it a challenge to navigate a small entrance area. You would THINK they would at least have a Valet option of Sat/Sun during Brunch. To park, go BEHIND the restaurant on the street to the left and you'll see some free parking options that are close and walkable. We asked for a table on the patio and were immediately seated. The bar was already buzzing with solo diners enjoying their Mimosas. The patio is NOT that big, a little over crowded and table are very close with not much space in between. There was a LARGE group of 'FUN' ladies right beside us enjoying their MIMOSAS, dropping the 'F' bomb from time to time and making a LOT of noise. What can you do? Nothing but try to make the best of it and just start talking LOUDER like everyone else. The OVERHEAD heaters were way too intense so the Staff was very responsive at our request to turn down the heat. We shared the BBQ Shrimp Starter which was SO good, I highly recommend. I had the Gumbo and Michelle had the beet and goat cheese salad. We both had the Red Fish which comes with smashed potatoes and broccoli. The potatoes were so BLAND, the broccoli had NO seasoning. The Red Fish wasn't that great of a flavor and not very tender, not easy to cut, had to use my knife at times to get a bite. Kinda disappointed, I lived in N Orleans for a couple of years and it was always so good there. The biggest disappointment was the Gumbo. It had all the right ingredients but the ROUX was to strong, dark and heavy. It actually gave me indigestion afterwards. The service was OUTSTANDING. Our Server was Daylean, she was so nice and helpful with the menu and kept our refills coming.
