We called to let them know that we would go back to pick up what wasn't given to us (even though we live 31 minutes away) and they advised that they would NOT be giving us our food because they "were sure they gave us ALL our food". They even put the manager on the phone who was just as unapologetic and rude as the first person we spoke to. Our neighbors came over the next day for dinner and we told them about our experience and they said they had the SAME thing happen to them with the same unprofessional and unresolved ending. After ordering one appetizer and one beer the bartender took my payment and gave me a receipt. Even though it was my first time there, I was welcomed like I was an old friend, as the bartender genuinely seemed happy to have me as a customer, and had no issue offering up a few beer recommendations as I was in the mood to try something different than my normal Stella or Sapporo. Cool, laid back, down home sports bar vibe with multiple games on the tv and no problem turning up the sound. We drove to this place to grab a late bite to eat since it's one of the closest sports bars, and to watch the ufc fight on tv. It was about 11:30 pm on a Saturday and we walked in to find they weren't serving food (and they close at 2am), and they weren't showing the fight. I thought they may be busy with the big game today, so I called in my order at 3:00 this afternoon for a 6:15 pickup. I got there just before 6. I paid for my order and got a drink while I waited. The menu clearly states bloody marys are $5.00 on Sundays. They charged me $7.25 and said sorry we aren't running that special anymore. Not cool. I waited until 6:28 for my food. Any other night I wouldn't have cared, but I have them over 3 hours to get it ready on time so I could be home for kickoff. They also were not busy. They could have comped my drink - or at least honored the price of the drink on the menu. Or at the very least offered an apology for my wait. Decent tasting but nothing spectacular. Based on previous reviews, looks like everyone's experience varies widely. I'd give a 5 out of 10. I'm going to honest- the environment, food, drinks, and other patrons at Corner Pub are great; it's the perfect place for a couple hours on a weekday to watch the game. The ONLY problem is a decent sized one: the Walmart Version of Seth Rogan they have working behind the bar. Not only was he extremely rude and condescending towards me and my family (this was our first time here), but the second time we came, he would come from behind the bar and touch/invade the space of my female family members. He seemed to enjoy making people uncomfortable and he is the only reason I am not coming back when I am a 3 minute walk from the bar. We came here last night to celebrate Va's birthday and watch the Panthers game. I was surprised to find it wasn't too packed like when we walked in for a Sunday football game. Still, our friends scored the last available table. Our server was great, very attentive and constantly checking up on us. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and the food also came out fairly quickly. The special was miller light and corona light buckets. Our Jameson pickle back shots were $7, not bad.
