I've only been to the one in Concord but today I took my kids here for an afternoon of fun. This location is smaller and offers less variety of play than Concord. Even though billiard and pool are for an older crowd, it's nice to have options while the kids are playing in the arcade. Lastly, I wish they had more shooting games and the jump rope game. read more

MISTAKE. if you can't read the prices or what you're ordering.... It's my fault. But cmon, $9 for a beer??? Who charges that??? I also saw some blurry chips & queso on the menu and ordered that. $12!!! It wasn't even queso. There was barely any dairy in the dip. It was pedestrian and not tasty at all. We waited so long just to see our waiter. They tried to take a picture of us and sell it to us and they tried to make us feel guilty for not buying the picture. Our waiter walked around and really didn't pay that much attention to us even though there weren't many people in the seated area. The food was ok but both the sodas we were served were just bad seltzer without the soda syrup. Overall a bad experience. I've been going to the Dave & Busters at Concord Mill's since about 1998. I just recently went to this location with Ben, Robson, Isla and Everlee. Everyone had a great time! It's hard not to, right? We got there about 4p on a Saturday and it was not too busy. By the time we left at 530p. the place was slammed. We liked the racing motorcycles and air hockey the best. We also had an early dinner at the restaurant. Even though it wasn't that busy, service was very slow. The kids had pizza and I had the grilled chicken wrap which was surpringsly good. read more

Celebrated my son's 11th birthday here. I had reserved a table 2 months in advance for about 8 people. When we arrived, I could see that we didn't really need to. For a Thursday night, it was fairly empty, but we didn't mind. It did take them a couple of minutes to get a table set for us. Our server Mateo was beyond awesome. He was super friendly and accommodating. Everyone was able to eat and drink in a timely manner, then go and enjoy the games! They had a huge selection of games, and all of them were working!!! It was such a sight to see as most arcade locations, there are always a few games out of order. Since it was not busy, we were able to play as many rounds of our favorite games at our leisure. I was scared to eat the food. After ordering and walking around to see what a mess was through this place. If they can not keep games working, or can not have more than 1 bathroom sink and paper towel machine working the kitchen is a disaster! Service- I hope the girl at the bar in the mask was new. Then I would understand but very slow and it was a slow night. Not very friendly. The guy sitting at host stand! He was helpful wish I caught his name- He told us upon walking in about the power play food/card deal and welcomed us. This manager does not care about this place at all. Tori and Jo were amazing and provided awesome customer service! They went above and beyond to ensure we got the correct points on our card . They've gotten a lot more games since the last time I had been there and we had a ton of fun definitely recommend playing Mario kart and the hot wheels game. Drinks were not expensive. Not busy at all on a Thursday Fun for adults but I would not leave kids or young teens unattended out of safety as the people working seem to be preoccupied and the area /carolina place mall is known to be a little sketchier safety wise. I also would keep in mind for parents that some of the games are very very casino as in slots or "fishing" like which although expected for an arcade a little off putting considering it's marketed to kids. Came here on a Wednesday for half prided games and to grab some dinner. Got the chimichurri bowl with chicken. Was ok. Service wasnt great and we were told the wrong prices on a few drinks, but just let it go. Girlfriend ordered an avocado chicken sandwich that had the smallest amount of avocado you could possibly put on a sandwich, but they brought her some more when she asked. Worst part was basically any game that had any kind of mechanical component was partial or fully broken, and it was not easy to find anyone to fix anything or tell of the issue. This is a lively place Near Carolina Pl., Mall there's plenty to share parking. It's clean. They serve your basic bar food from the freezer and have plenty of fun games. It's a great place to have a party for your child or tween. Most of the drinks have sour mix of them, or some type of soda. Not hand crafted or anything. I suggest if you have children, you do not drop them off and leave them. It seems to have a lot of sketchy people ......be a great place for a undercover officer to catch some predators. This place used to be better managed/well-kept a few years ago before the 'vid. Used to come here at least once a week. Last time I brought my kids we left with half our credits still on our cards because most of the games were down. Now, the sewage smell permeating throughout the parking lot gets into the building, many games are always broken, and kids continue to run around unsupervised. They really need to enforce their policy about unattended kids. Service is alright at the bar, the hosts are always helpful, and the pizza is better than chuck e cheese. I've stopped coming here and would rather drive to the Concord Mills location or the Greenville, SC location instead. read more

Wow, how things have changed. Dave & Buster's redefine the expectations of celebrating one day over another. For my grandson's 7th, it was a onslaught of technology, professional-level gaming, and all sorts of whirling, twirling gizmos. The only thing that spun faster, was the money flying out of the wallet to reload the all too convenient players card. We're not in Kansas anymore. The place is small, dark, and winds around. Cool. Parents, however, may struggle letting their kids out of their site. We did. On the day we visited it was packed and our server could hardly handle the press. Our food was just OK, poorly executed bar samples. Nothing healthy here. Looking to celebrate a birthday in a grand manner? First time coming and we deliberately came during the week as the crowds have been crazy at the mall on the weekend. The place is big and bright. Several seating areas and I really liked the incorporation of local imagery in one of the dining areas. We sat near the games so we could watch the kids play video games. The booth was huge and the seats comfortable. What I really liked were the high walls which created privacy. The menu is expansive but here is where I started taking off points. The menus were so sticky and nasty that they made a sound when you pulled them open. Gross and a bad sign in my book. If you can't keep the menus clean, what else is lacking some good old soap and water? Food choices were typical bar/grill food/ wings, burgers, mozzarella sticks, pizza apps, chicken fingers, fries....we orders the big sampler and the hubby and kids enjoyed themselves. I wasn't hungry so my order was a watermelon margarita which had frozen watermelon ice cubes and green sugar on the rim. It was yummy (not strong at all) and refreshing. Best parts of the visit, service was on point. Our waitress (starts with a T, can't remember whole name) was awesome. We even told her about the loud sticky menus and she was on it. We also like the free play during the week from approximately 5 to 7pm. The kids had a ball playing without swiping until the food came and a little afterwards. We'll be back as this is so close to home and a great week night family dinner spot. Weird moment: seeing a guy on the dance dance revolution like game for the entire time we were there. We had my son's birthday part at this location and that was one of the best decisions ever. From the moment we made the quick and easy reservations online to the moment the party wrapped up we were well taken care of. Not long after we booked the party online we received an email from a party planner introducing themselves. They sent a few more emails over the next several weeks leading up to the party reminding me to confirm counts, offered additional options, etc. None of the emails seemed to salesy or pushy. The instructions on what to do before, during and after were all very clear. The only downside is that I did not see where they mention that they provide cups, plates, etc. It's kind of assumed since it is a restaurant where the food is served however, my wife wasn't okay with my "assumptions". When we arrived we were greeted by the manager who took us to our table, confirmed everything we ordered and coordinated when food would be served. Then it was release the kids to a sensory overloaded room of lights and video games. Adults had options too as there are many games that I enjoyed and weren't too young or too mature. If you're not into games then belly up to the bar. The food was just okay. It was a kids party so I wasn't expecting much but even the additional food we ordered off the menu was just okay. I definitely wouldn't go for the food. The server we had, I feel bad since I didn't remember his name to give him proper kudos outside of extra tip, was phenomenal. My wife and I have come here a couple times to kill some time between date activities. The first time we came, pre-Covid, we learned really fast that this facility is not set up for food/beverage service. We tried to get drinks at the bar and it was a 45 minute process. We have returned twice since then, the latest being this past Father's Day. Right through the doors and straight to the game floor since I used the app to load our cards up. The kids had a great time as did the wife and I. A little bummed that a couple of the games were "Closed due to Covid" when everyone was living their normal lives, but it was only a few of them. Skip the axe throwing simulator, it barely works. Play basketball connect 4. I hold the beer pong game high score so go ahead and take that from me. Desperately in need of some excitement at the end of a rainy week, we decided to roll the dice and head to D&B's for dinner and games. The games were great, as was the service throughout; however, the food was disappointing. Despite my wife's obvious reservations, surprisingly good reviews from some of my favorite Yelpers had left me hopeful and optimistic. Our friendly young server, Justin, only served to further increase my enthusiasm... then... the food arrived. My wife and I split the Cheeseburger Sliders with a garden salad and fries for around $14. The fries were very good but the sliders were, at best, mediocre. The salad consisted of mixed greens, dry shaved carrots and shriveled cherry tomatoes. One of our two teenage daughters ordered the Chicken BLT with fries, the other, Chicken Quesadillas. Both dishes ran about $13. The quesadillas were mushy and tasteless. The chicken BLT however was loaded with bacon, lean chicken breast and other good stuff, easily the best choice of what we ordered. Sooo... I give D&B's 4 stars for fun and games but only 2 stars for food for an overall score of 3. We will be back but for the games only (and maybe a draft beer.) read more

Haven't been here in years. Kids were happy with the pizza. The hamburger was inedible and so salty that I sent it back (which I rarely do). I literally took three bites and wouldn't consider eating more. They asked if I wanted another and I said no, too unappealing and unappetizing. I didn't ask for the burger to be removed from the bill. But when I got the bill, it was still on there. So, I inquired. They said that they wouldn't take the burger off but would give me a "good customer" discount, which equates to $5 or maybe a little more. The service was so bad (with no one in the restaurant) that I left my seat to walk back to the bar area to pay because it was taking forever. Overall, meh. Kids were happy with the games. The kids chicken nuggets with fries and a chicken bacon avocado club. The mac & cheese came out by itself first and my daughter was 3/4 of the way through her plate before her friend got her nuggets and fries. They were both done when the asparagus came out which was woody and inedible. Then my food came out. It was as if they took a 4 ounce chicken breast, cut it into four one ounce strips and put it on the roll. It was like eating a bread sandwich with a little chicken on it. For $14 I expect a full chicken breast. One that hangs off the side a bit... not 2 strips cut in half. The food was overpriced and just bad. The service was even worse. They genuinely seemed upset that I had the nerve to say something. Will not return for food. Too many other places that offer the over priced games and food as competition. read more

Not crowded at all when we arrived but had to wait for a table even though 90% of the tables were available (see pic) because "we are understaffed and don't have any servers". Weak. Waited about 15 minutes before we received a text telling us our table was ready. Funny thing is the table was ready the entire time, but we apparently couldn't sit down because of the understaffed situation. Also, nothing more frustrating than seeing servers cutting it up amongst each other like they are customers rather than employees, while water glasses sit empty and ketchup for fries is nowhere to be found. Not sure what's worse, bring understaffed or being poorly staffed, but I guess D&B would be much better suited to answer that one, since apparently they are covered on both counts. Overall, fun place filled with games for all ages, but they won't last long if they don't get their poor service turned around, as we had a good time in spite of, not because of, the employees we interacted with while there. read more

I would love to give this place a 5 star review, but I can't. 10/28/17. We got there to be greeted by a host who clearly couldn't stand her job, but that's per most places. We sit, and look over the menus and order our drinks, then food. My husband's drink was fine, but my piña colada, had no alcohol in it. My 2nd had very little. For food, my husband got a "BBBacon Burger" and I, the 8oz serloin medium rare*. Both came out totally flavorless, not even salt and pepper, and my steak was medium and my husband's bacon was 1/2 second from being undercooked. He didn't even finish the burger. Well, we went to play games which was fine, no issues. Then we decided to get a banana's foster to go, once we got home and started to dig in, we found quite the long hair burried in the whipped cream. Overall, this was probably my first and last visit to this locations. The location itself is small in comparison to other D&B locations, which makes it feel like you are playing games on top of other people. There just isn't a lot of room there whatsoever. On to the food and the restaurant portion...I was excited to have some good bar food, as their pictures blasting all over the venue made it look delectable. It couldn't have been further from the truth. First, from sit down to initial greeting took over 20 minutes, to which our server explained she didn't know someone sat her table. After we made our drink orders, the kids we were with wanted to wash their hands, but there's no bathroom access from the restaurant. You have to leave the restaurant and go to the back of the game room...very inconvenient. Our food took over 45 minutes to get to our table, with no explaination why, and it was terrible. I ordered the pepperoni pretzel pizza, and it was both freezer burnt and uncooked in the middle. The pretzel was just gummy and inedible. My husband's cheese sticks tasted the same way, just like the freezer. Our server didn't come back to check on our food or refill our drinks, and we needed to find her to get our check. When we did find her, she seemed quite bothered that we needed her. It was just such a disappointing experience, and with other game/activity bars in the charlotte area, I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Fun, fun, fun. Here to celebrate the birthday of one of my son's friends. Be warned...Saturday afternoons can be PACKED! We arrived early enough to beat the crowd. I was pleasantly surprised by the food...and drinks. Pretty tasty and the menu was extensive. We had wings and sliders. Wings have a kick so they aren't for amateurs. I didn't want to pay the big price to book and all that so I thought this would workout. I mean, it did but not the way I thought it would. I called Friday to ask about Sunday's...I was assured that it would be okay and the manager would be aware so it would be okay to have the tables together. Showed up Sunday, the manager was NOT aware but he was super good about getting the tables together and getting us a good server for a tough crowd! We ended up being there for 4 hours! We attempted to order a drink and there were 5 employees standing behind the bar talking the entire time, just ignoring everyone who was standing there waiting, while the bartender with long dark hair did her very best to wait on everyone barside, not where the patrons walkup to be waited on, but after 10 minutes we ended up walking away without being served. At first there were only 2 employees (2 females) standing there talking, then 3 more employees came behind the bar, but instead of helping any of us, they joined in on the conversation! Had some friends in town with their kids and chose to eat here so the adults could eat while the kids played. I'll start with the good - the entity offers a government/military discount, all the games were all operational, and the food was decent. Which were the ONLY things that compelled even 1 star out of this rating. The bad; the service. The service all around was horrible. From the moment you enter the door to the moment you leave. In an industry that is driven by its customers it is clear we aren't the forefront of this management team's priority list. We weren't greeted upon entry, we weren't seated, we had to seek a hostess to figure out how to be seated, we had to split our party up just to be seated, we waited 25 minutes and had to get up and get the attention of 2 different people before anyone waited on us. The couple in the booth beside us had the very same issue and got up and left because they couldn't get service. And not because they were busy, or short staffed. Because many employees were standing around doing nothing. Often. If we go back to another Dave and Busters, it will be the one in Concord. Never again will we revisit the one in Pineville. read more
