It would be nice if the staff were to be a little bit more attentive and accommodated, I felt like we just were there versus being served on if that makes sense. Didn't fully feel welcomed. I was supposed to have this sauce on it, the picture shows that the sauce was just a tiny squirt and very unsettling, especially when you consider the price associated to it. TopGolf was, again, a lot of fun! This was my 2nd time playing, but the first at this location, and I had another great time. I liked getting to introduce some of my friends to the experience, as well as getting to play some of the other games that I hadn't played the first time. Also, going on a Monday evening was surprisingly relaxing, and I'd recommend that anybody play at that time if they're able. The one (1) minor inconvenience was that it took our waitress a little while to approach our bay, and we had to flag her down a few times. Fun Birthday Vibes & Great Experience Overall! We went to Topgolf for my sister's birthday and had such a fun and memorable time! There were four of us, and though none of us are golf pros, it was a great learning experience full of laughs and friendly competition. The greeter at the door was fantastic--welcoming and quick to check us in. The attendant at our bay, however, seemed a bit unsure and wasn't very attentive at first. He gave a quick run-through of how to play, but didn't offer much guidance beyond that. That said, the overall experience made up for it. We played for about two hours, which was plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. The food was typical bar fare--nothing to write home about--but what really stood out was the fact that they allowed us to bring our own birthday cheesecake and balloons to celebrate. Topgolf is a fun place to practice golf strokes. The catering staff and those that prepare food and drinks are a lot more hospitable than those at the front counter. There were 3 people just standing when we walked up. Neither of them wanted to assist us as we entered. Each one kept saying "he/she can help you" and they all seemed annoyed that we walked up disturbing their conversation. I know good help is hard to find but if you work with the public, you should at least be able to turn hospitality on/off when customers approach. If we hadn't already paid for our event including food/drinks I would have left. It used to be a nice place when they first opened but it seems to have gone down a little since then. read more

The lamest top golf I've ever been to! Father's Day ended in a horrible note due to Top golf. We ordered food that never came, the fan above our bay didn't work in 90+ degree weather. The waitress told me the fan hasn't worked all day, but yet they didn't disclose that to us at all before booking, also didn't tell us that the special that's usually ran on Sundays isn't available on Father's Day. We would have easily waited for a working fan. Talked to the manager he gave us a $15 gift card for next visit to try and compensate for the inconvenience. Didn't feel good enough for the situation. Made a reservation 2 days in advance. On the day of, I responded to 2 emails to confirm my reservation. Arrived 10 minutes early the rep at checking in extremely rude... said I had failed to respond to text messages. I checked and had recieved a text less than two minutes before I showed it to her. I told her I had recieved it as I was pulling into the parking lot. She said I needed to respond if I wanted to get my bay at the requested time. And they would text me when it was ready. After 20 minutes I asked again from a different clerk he said he could not find my reservation. I pulled it up on my email he said he still could not find it. After 2 more minutes he said he found it and it was registered under my first name. I immediately got a text saying my bay was ready...I asked to speak with a manager. He said one would come see me. When we got to the bay it showed 18 minutes of our 2 hours was already used. After 10 minutes a team lead came to speak with me she offered to add 15 minutes to our time I declined. Treatment of a customer with this level of disrespect and thinking that adding back 15 minutes to the 2 hours paid for makes up for it is disgusting. What an amazing experience. We held a corporate event for approximately 25 people. Brian was our host. Dude was amazing. We had a buffet with brisket, chicken, mac and cheese etc. Dessert was brownies and these little cheesecakes. The winners were - the brisket and the cheesecakes. But everything was good. Charlotte SHRM held a networking event here and it was perfect!! They rented out a room, offered a buffet style dinner, drink tickets and 3 bay rentals. It was a great space to host any event - the room was very open and was able to accommodate a lot of people. If you wanted to go swing in the bay, it was perfect because you can go out the back doors and the bays were right there. Service was nice, fast and friendly read more

(5/2/24) I had the opportunity to attend a meeting at Top Golf today. First off they have plenty of parking. That's a blessing especially when you have a large vehicle. I'm quite familiar with the layout of the space, so finding the meeting room wasn't difficult. The room was quite small but there was enough room to sit around the table without touching other people. There was an opportunity to order food and I tried the honey mustard boneless wings. It was a good size portion and they were tasty and filling. I couldn't stay for the golf part of the event. It did look like the participants were having a good time. On July 31, 2025, my 12-year-old was attending summer camp and was threatened by a Topgolf summer camp worker at the Charlotte location. The employee told him she would "punch him in the face" and "put him in the street so he could get hit by a car." She even removed his chair while he was eating, forcing him to stand. Another camper witnessed the incident. I immediately contacted management, and the situation was reported to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. After my formal complaint, Topgolf confirmed the worker was terminated, but only after my report. While I appreciate that action, it's alarming that someone in a sales/administrative role with no childcare qualifications was ever placed in charge of supervising children. Parents trust Topgolf's camps to provide a safe, professional environment for kids. This situation raises serious concerns about staff screening, background checks, and training for youth programs. There were also delays in Topgolf's cooperation with law enforcement, which made the process even more frustrating. Families should be cautious before enrolling their children in Topgolf's camps until the company can demonstrate proper oversight, qualified supervision, and accountability. read more

We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday back in December and had a great time! TopGolf is definitely a fun destination, there's no denying that. There's plenty of parking, plenty of bays and lots of TVs as well. We were assigned a bay on the 2nd level and a server. She was very helpful and available to our group. I ordered a pitcher of beer and fries. The pitcher of beer came with a huge thing in the middle of the pitcher that I assume is there to keep the beer cold. What it really does is take up most of the space in the pitcher so you don't seem to get a full pitcher of beer. That was kind of disheartening. As well as the fries were a child's size, literally there were maybe 20 fries in the tiny little cup it came in. Every one in my group made a comment about how small it was. They were $5 and I'm not even mad about the price, I genuinely just wanted more fries lol. I think they could increase the sizing a little is all. Otherwise, we had a great time! read more

genuinely the worst experience i have ever had at a topgolf. they were out of 95% of every item they had on their menu. employees are so rude and lack courtesy. i asked for left handed clubs prior to booking- and when i got to my bay the clubs were no where to be seen. i asked 3 times for clubs and finally receiving them it's filled with a pitching wedge and a five iron. the employee literally dropped the golf bag on the floor, looked back, giggled, and ran away (no driver in bag). then i ask again for the right clubs and it takes 15 more minutes to come out. also the rubber tee was broken so i could not use it. overall, shitty environment, service, and communication. read more

This was my second time at Top golf and as always, we had a great time. We only waited about 5 minutes for a booth on the second floor. Our waitress was very quick and attentive to us. It took no time to get our drinks and food and when our tater tots came out, they were extremely salty and she took them back and got us fries and said she'd bring out the tater tots as well when they were done. The fries were enough for us and they were really good. We also got lemon pepper and buffalo boneless wings and they were really good. They were crispy and really tender. The lemon pepper ones were a little too lemony and salty but I loved the buffalo ones. I also ordered a top golf sangria and I really enjoyed it but by the time I got it, it was a little watered down. I did get an amaretto sour so that made up for it. As for the golfing, it was easy to set up our accounts and choose which games to play. I love that they added a club where you are guaranteed to hit the ball lol. The date was May 31, 2024, and we went to top golf for the last day of school. We get there and we have a friend with allergies, Gluten, and we ordered lunch because school got out at 11:30 am. The game was ready, and it worked fine however our server was not with it. He brought out our lunch and most of it was wrong except for mine. One of the burgers had cheese which the person who ordered did not want cheese. Then the person with allergies' chicken sandwich was not gluten free. They have gluten free as well. The BF and I come here often. Mostly on Tuesdays since it's half price on games play starting at 10am. This location is spacious and they have a bar access on every floor. If you love driving ranges, you'll love top golf. It's honestly one of my favorite places to get some arm cardio in, bc you'll definitely feel it in your arms the next day! The service is fairly quick and the servers are friendly. The food is mostly light, bar type food. Sandwiches, salads, burgers etc. the food is filling and tasty. They also have many options in regards to driving games. My favorite is the angry birds and jewel game, but if that's not your thing, they also have golf simulated games where you can play 18 holes on a course. I highly recommend this place for a group or date activity. It's pretty fun if you have no experience swinging a golf club to perfecting you golf swing. read more

This was a new experience. Top Golf is a very trendy experience with a family friendly atmosphere during the day, and turns a little clubbish after dark, especially in the restaurant area. We hadn't planned to be there as late, but, keep reading. The golfing experience was a lot of fun. It was fun to see others hitting and to cheer each other on. There were several kids parties happening, and groups of adults. The servers are on it in the game area. There are staff around everywhere, everyone is attentive and ready to help. Food and beverages arrived timely-at appropriate temperatures. Matthew, our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable. After almost annihilating my opponents, we headed inside for dinner. The dining room was not too busy when we got inside, and we were instructed to sit anywhere. While it wasn't busy, it was super loud-the music was absolutely too loud for the inside. It was way overstimulating, and I have no documented issues. We were in a booth, and had to lean in to hear each other. My eye was twitching by the end. Because it wasn't busy, it was annoying to sit for almost 20 minutes (almost doesn't count unless it's an unacceptable wait time) before someone greeted us, and we had to flag him down. Once he took us on, Bailey, our server, was attentive, though he had no control over it taking close to 30 minutes for food to arrive. It was obvious that the game area is the money maker, thus the overall priority. Bailey was very apologetic. The food did redeem it a little bit. Everything was hot, which it had better been at a 30 minute wait, the beef tasted like beef, the chicken was juicy, and tater tots and fries were appropriately crispy. I would definitely order the cheeseburger again, and my husband said he'd get the chicken sandwich again. Without the restaurant wait time, it would have easily been a 4. I love Top Golf, it's so much fun! I've been a couple of times for work events and several times with friends and family. Depending on the time of day, it may be a little difficult to get an open bay, but it is usually worth the wait. It's a little expensive but it's not a place that you go often, well at least I don't, and it's fun. I've had food, I've had cocktails, generally both are pretty good and the staff is nice. The game is fun whether you are an avid golfer or not - and I'm not - but I can still manage to get a few holes in and rack up on my points. I have played on all three levels, and I think the top is my favorite, but there's also advantages to being on the ground level, because you are closer to the holes. I have yet to try the University location, but hopefully it's just as nice. read more

This was my first time ever at Topgolf and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A group of us came here after a cookout hoping we would be able to get in without a long wait. We couldn't make reservations online either so we knew we were taking a chance by just showing up. Luckily, it was a rainy night so it wasn't so crowded and they sat us at our section very quickly. It was about $110 for 2 hours, on top of the $5 newcomer fee. I felt the fee was unnecessary but I guess that's how they make their money. We started playing and decided to order a round of drinks, each of us opting for a mojito. Upon receiving our drinks, we were extremely disappointed as it was watered down. They ended up taking it off our bill which I appreciated. Overall, the experience was pleasant and the grounds of the establishment are well kept. I did wish staff wore masks but I guess the rules in Charlotte are more lenient that up north. read more

Had a really good time here at Top Golf. This was my second time here and after the first....I realized the best bet is to come during a weekday. There wasn't a wait at all and we were immediately assigned a bay. Once there, we were greeted by a host and our server who fully explained the ins and outs of how everything works. The beer selection was good, the food was so-so but not bad (wasn't expecting top notch food at a golf range). There's many different types of games you can play and it's cool to see how far you hit and where the ball lands. Our service was great as our waitress was very attentive. The only real complains were the pricing. The overall price for my partner and I came up much higher than we expected after adding on time, but at that point we just went with it. Also, there was someone who I am assuming was a golf specialist standing near us and watching. He came right when the 10 min remaining mark occurred...to me, I didn't want to spend the last 10 min being talked to and given advice when I want to continue hitting and playing before our time ran out. Love coming here!!! I've been at this spot with my girlfriends and other time with the family! I guarantee that all ages and all groups will have a blast. I do have to warn you that they do have super long wait times, especially during the holiday so you have to be patient. I like to drive up in the morning and put my name on the list and they are pretty good about texting me later to let me know that they are ready. So if you have strict schedule, try to reserve ahead of time. (I've never done that but I'm sure it's efficient). The drinks are yummy and the food items..basic bar food. Came here with friends to bring in the New Year. 2 of us never been and thought this would be a fun way to celebrate. This place is MASSIVE. It felt like a very clean and well laid out sports stadium or coliseum. We came around 9:15pm, and there was a lot of children here. Love it! The bay we were given was on the lower level. There was plenty of seating and 2 pool tables inside. The space was clean and, with the outdoor heaters, was very warm. It was wonderful because the breezes was breezing. Our server was very friendly and checked on us regularly despite how crowded it was. She was on top of it. We order drinks and buffaloed hot wings. For the price we paid, I was hoping for at least 8-10 wings, but it was 6. The problem was when I got mine, I only had 5. I was upset about this, but did not to say anything because it would have been quite the wait to correct it. I decided I would included it in my review. Out side of that, the drinks were well blended and had us feeling good, feeling great. ((finish the OutKast song if you know it)) Also, you can take home the light-up Golf Bag cup your drink comes in. The food was pretty default. I suggest you eat before arriving because this will quickly increase your bill, as it does not curb your hunger. It's like any other drive range. However, there are options to make it more challenging and fun. We tried all of them, but stuck to the basic as none of us knew what we were doing. I would definitely come back. I suggest you make reservations a few days prior if you go on weekends. I saw that a lot of walk-ins were waiting for hours, as well as some last-minute reserves. Also, keep in mind they charge by the hour per person. The prices will vary based on days and time of day. I just checked (as I'm writing this) that this Wed at 12:15 is free, but we paid $55 per person/ hr on Sat night. Maybe due to holiday? I dunno. So the earlier you arrive the cheaper it is. I went in for an interview, and it was such an exciting experience. All the employees and managers were so welcoming and full of energy--it felt great. After the interview, there was one employee who really stood out. I didn't get her name, but I wish I had. I had been waiting about 15-20 minutes to place my order, and she noticed. She stopped what she was doing to help me out and even knocked a couple of dollars off, even though she didn't have to. The fries were amazing, and she made sure I had everything I needed before I left. This happened on 01-13-2025, around 5-6 PM, and I really hope this gets back to her. This was a first for me and I really enjoyed myself thanks to my husband (pictured). We arrived a little early so we sat at the bar until our bay was available. The drinks were strong and tasted decent enough. Once our bay was ready, we were able to go outside and have some real fun. We ordered quite a bit of food (garlic Parmesan wings, luke warm)(fries, delicious second time around) (burger,ok) (fried mac balls, amazing) and more drinks at this point, however it took a very very long time for our food to come so they comped us roughly 50%.
