Tried Topgolf in Charlotte for the first time and honestly had such a great experience! I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but everything was easy to figure out--even as a total beginner. The staff was really friendly and helpful, walking us through how the games work and making sure we were set up. The atmosphere is awesome too--great music, lively vibe, and perfect for hanging out whether you're competitive or just there for fun. The games themselves are addicting (in the best way ). I loved how it tracks your shots automatically, so you don't need to be good at golf to enjoy it. Plus, the food and drinks were surprisingly good--definitely more than just typical "sports venue" snacks. Overall, it's such a fun spot for groups, date nights, or even just trying something new. Topgolf (Charlotte) was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed my trip to the facility. Of course, I've known about Topgolf for a while now, but I could never tell if it was something that I would like or not. Well, when a friend invited me to join him for a round (or an hour), I finally got the opportunity to find out! I'd say that it was about what I expected it to be, but that it was still a lot of fun. As somebody who's an occasional golfer, I'd describe Topgolf as kind of a tricked-out driving range. They have nets with different colors that you're supposed to aim the ball at, depending on which game that you're playing. Speaking of the games, they had a large variety, such as a simulated version of Pebble Beach, as well as a Sonic the Hedgehog game, ensuring that you'll find one you like no matter what age you are. Finally, the staff was very friendly, and I really appreciated the customer service. Every staff member I interacted with, from the manager to our waitress to the bartender, was extremely outgoing and courteous, so I can tell that they put a nice emphasis on customer service. As for the food and drink, I did like that they had a nice selection of some local craft beers, but the food was a little overpriced for what you were paying for. All-in-all, I really enjoyed my visit to Topgolf, and even though I don't really see myself becoming a regular, I can see myself coming back once every few months to get a round in! read more

Less than average experience. Activity was fun per usual but the service was off big time. I ordered the Patty Melt w/ Fruit(just grapes). I asked for no onions and no slaw and just grapes. I received the Patty Melt w/ slaw and a room temp fruit medley. I don't eat strawberries and when I let my waitress know about that and the slaw her reply was "I put "no slaw" on there. What do you want me to do about it??" The burger was bland and simply tasted like a grilled burger w/o seasoning.. The turkey club and the donut holes were better than anything else. Came here on a work team outing during the week thy have a discount where you can play for three hours $20 between 11 and 3 PM. The staff, especially Logan was extra conscientious and the food especially the chicken cut and sliders are exceptional. This Top Golf location had great parking and from reservation to arriving and enjoying our bay it was a smooth process. The hostess at our bay made sure we had drinks and food and helped us get child clubs for our nephew so he can have fun too. We got to watch the panther game at the same time which was very cool as well. The only opportunity we had was we don't think that the snacks here were good in a pinch but you can tell no one orders the healthy food. Our vegetable platter veggies were stale, the dips themselves didn't taste fresh and my sister's salad dressing also tasted weird. Our nephews corn dog and French fries were fine, but we all agree we will bring our own snacks next time or eat before or after having fun in our bay. read more

I love Topgolf. The games are always fun, the drinks are solid, and the food is pretty good bar food. Honestly, it's a great spot to hang out with friends. The only real issue I've had (and it's happened every time I've been, like 3-4 visits now) is the service. It usually takes 10-15 minutes just to see a server, and then another 10-15 minutes to actually get drinks. On my last visit, our drinks didn't show up until halfway through our lane time, and it wasn't even busy. Still a fun place overall, but the slow service definitely takes away from the experience. read more

Such a fun way to play golf without all the walking. It's about $40 to play for a hour. They offer food, drinks and treats. You wave the club over the button and the ball comes out. Here's an edited version: I'm kind of unimpressed with Top Golf in general, not just this location. They've really raised their prices lately. We paid about $70 in the morning for just 2 hours. We tried going several times without a reservation, but the wait was way too long, so definitely book ahead. It's nearly impossible to get a spot on the top floor. I requested it when I booked online, but we were assigned the second floor. I specifically asked for the top floor since we arrived right when they opened and it was available, but the staff said it was already taken by others who hadn't arrived yet. What makes them eligible to get it and we couldn't? At least share that information next time so we know how to obtain it. It's really frustrating. This definitely won't be a place I frequent. read more

We took our son and a group of his friends to play Topgolf! Because a few of the boys had already played, they knew how to work the computer and what strategies to use for the different games. No matter your golf talent, Topgolf is fun for everyone! Each game has a different tactic to be successful. However, our group started ignoring the scores and just had fun! BTW-it was brutally HOT the day of our reservation. Because the roof keeps you out of the weather and fans blow on you the entire time, you can have fun no matter how hot it is. My company had an event here for us today, I was very excited to finally try top golf. I've heard so many good things about this place and didn't think I'd like it because I'm not a huge golf fan. Parking is plentiful, although you may have to park far and have a bit of a walk because it gets packed. I was able to walk in and get assistance right away and was told where to find our event. The building was clean, and had a simple floor plan. I went up the stairs to the 3rd floor and found our group. One of my colleagues explained the nature of the game and helped us get started, thank goodness for her. I noticed people around me were getting their drink orders and being that it was my first visit I was unaware that each section had an assigned waitress.. I kept asking the ones walking past me to have someone come over to help me with my drink orders. It took me asking about 4 different wait staff.... Someone finally let her know we were ready and it still took a while for her to finally come over. I would say about 20 minutes went by after I placed my drink order, which were two waters, a beer and a cocktail. I asked her if we could get our waters (because it was an extremely hot day) and we were thirsty, she told me requested the waters but they were really busy. After another 15 minutes our waters finally came out. Our company had a buffet set up for us, and we were served food. I got our food, went back to our section, and was ready to order my adult beverages and I had to flag the waitress down to get that in. Moral of the story, the service was not the best. I saw staff huddled by the restrooms laughing and carrying on, so they should work on making sure all hands are on deck to get service up to speed. The food was not good at all, we had brisket, chicken Mac n cheese and green beans. Everything was bland.. The chicken was actually okay, but everything else was cold and lacked flavor. I can't believe I actually enjoyed myself. I didn't think I would. I could see myself coming back for sure. You sign in and there were about 4 different games we got to choose from, we played angry birds and a few others and we enjoyed ourselves. It was a hot day, but I liked the fact that we were in a shaded area and they had fans going, which helped out a lot. We've been going to TG for years and enjoy it. It's a great activity to do with friends, family, or even coworkers. They have good food and fun drinks. Our favorite is the nachos with chicken, and the flatbreads. Their wings are good too. They have a skinny margarita which I love. Service is good, and our food arrives in a reasonable time. Our servers are usually attentive and check on us regularly. The one thing that blows my mind is the suggestion on the check to tip the servers 20-25% on the entire check, which includes the price of golfing. We are good tippers (consistently tip 18-20%) but to ask to tip on the price including the golfing is wild! But don't forget half price Tuesdays! read more

Came for a friend's birthday and honestly had a much better time than I thought I would. Grand location with plenty of parking spaces to choose from. The workers from the check-in and bar areas are all very efficient and friendly. Had two tables sectioned off for the party and we had plenty of space to mingle. Golfing was a blast! Plenty of game options to choose from and clear instructions. We did order a hot honey flatbread with steak nachos. The flatbread was delicious. The nachos, thought they were going to be normal tortilla chips with steak lettuce and everything piled on but these nachos unfortunately did not hit the spot. Felt like I was eating mini folded up tacos and looked like we only got about 10 nachos so it was definetly not work the almost $20 we spent on the nachos. It was EXTREMELY HOT though. Even though they had fans on full blast, because of the heat advisory, it did get pretty hot and sticky. Nevertheless we still trudged on and had a blast! I have been wanting to visit topgolf for a while now and finally decided to check it out. The business was very clean and well laid out with plenty of space and seating for everyone. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and took time to explain how everything works. The servers taking care of our bay were also friendly and took excellent care of us. We did order some pretzel bites which were good, I ate them all before I remembered to get pics... Maybe I'll remember next time haha. We had been planning on coming here after shopping for Black Friday deals in Charlotte. The building is easy to find and when we went inside it seemed very open and full of tech. We were greeted by a super nice employee named Asia who explained the process and set us up in a bay on the second of three levels. I don't know how many people could actually play there, if I had to pick a number I would say A LOT. We made our way to the bay and logged in to set out time and type of game, there were three or four options of play. What a neat place. It was a cool day on black Friday and we had just finished a morning of shopping and decided to do something fun. So we came here. Our son tried it and really talked it up. This was a HUGE golf range and they even had strong space heaters to keep us warm. They had a screen above our table to show us the play by play and our score. First time to Top Golf. The place is clean and modern and has a ton of bay over three levels. In theory you should really ever have to wait love since they have room to accommodate plenty of people. You pay based on time, the initial setup is a tad confusing and what they don't tell you is that you have to pay a $5 lifetime fee for something... Over all the digital system to track your ball is pretty sweet. You have a couple different options as to games/styles you'd like to play. Clubs are decent but if you have the ability, bring your own clubs. Each bay has table service which is nice, full bar and menu is available. Overall a fun spot. I'd heard a lot about Topgolf and had yet to try it, so I was excited when I found out we were coming here for our holiday work outing! I'm not a golfer - I'm not even good at putt putt - so I was tremendously bad at these games. I was happy if I even hit the ball inside any opening that meant I scored some points. It wasn't clear to me how to choose a putter or what strategies I should try. It seemed like the players who did the best were the people who 1) have played golf before and 2) have the strength to hit the ball hard/far. I think I would have had a better time playing if I understood the basics better and how I might overcome some of my handicaps (being short, not very strong, and not knowing anything about golf). It was a somewhat chilly day in December, so many of us wore sweaters/layers not realizing that there are pretty strong heatlamps in the bays. We got hot and actually asked the staff to turn our heaters off! But really nice that you can enjoy being "outside" regardless of the temperature. We got food catered for our group - including short rib, mac n cheese, spinach & artichoke dip, charcuterie, and brownies - which won't blow your socks off but was pretty tasty. The service was awesome (shoutout to Teddy!), and the cocktails were perfection. I'd happily come back if this was covered by work again, but don't see myself spending my own money. read more

Today we went to have some fun as usual. Front desk made accommodations to put us in a bay near the middle. We waited about 15 minutes and that was no issue. (I think the 1st floor and corners are hard if you are not a pro golfer) When we got to our bay, the manager Mike introduced himself to us and told us about the new game they had. Our server was May and we had ok service. There were a couple of things forgotten (my 2nd drink and silverware). Also my nachos were way overdone. We couldn't find our server and since our time was dwindling down, I flagged down Mike. He was gracious to extend our time by 15 minutes to give the kitchen time to do a redo. The nachos came out almost the same but I didn't say anything. Also my drink finally came and it was not as good as the 1st one. Aesthetically this Topgolf is great, it's cute and spacious. Apart from that, the experience wasn't amazing. Our server checked on us every 5 minutes during the first hour, seeming offended when we didn't order food, and then didn't check on us after the first hour, in which our machine broke and we asked three separate workers to fix it. Our last 45 minutes ran out with the machine broken because no one came to help us. Our server seemed very flustered and saying that the machine hadn't been working for 45 minutes even though we were very polite about it saying that wasn't possible because she just checked on us (but the clock ran out?). Had a great time at Top Golf in Charlotte. We paid for 90 minutes. During that time we ordered food and drinks. Time starts as soon as everyone is signed in so be prepared to play upon arrival. The staff were great. Very helpful with the setup and getting started. There is a separate person who gets your food. There is plenty to choose from on the menu. No complaints. We had a lot of fun. I would like to go back. Its a bit pricey so it isn't something you could do weekly if you are on a budget. I included the receipt for our 90 minute session. Came in for a Girls Night and was really disappointed with the service. Our server, Terriana W., acted like she didn't want to be there at all. I went to TopGolf for the first time three years ago and have made it a point to come back time and time again (even though I'm not the most amazing golfer in the world!) TopGolf makes the experience effortless by providing clubs (including left hand clubs and various sizes), different games, plus a food and drink menu. Their new system for reservations is awesome and I highly recommend using it to avoid long wait times, especially on weekends. I loved playing the classic round to warm up and then the Angry Birds game! The technology is super interactive and neat, and the tiered driving ranges truly make it easy even for first time golfers. I've had various food items before from here including the wings and donut holes, all super yummy and great for sharing with a crowd. This time I opted for the sangria drink which was very fruity and refreshing, loved it! Barely took our orders barely came to check on us. A couple people just went to the bar to order cause we could tell she did not want to be bothered. I'm a huge TopGolf fan and I had a blast here with my friends a couple of weeks ago. The staff was attentive and helpful. The drinks were strong and the vibes were high! I love how open air TopGolf is and how much you can do there. It's not just golf. They have a massive bar inside on the 3rd floor so my friends and I decided to hang out after golfing. Topgolf says they are Pro Military in fact they say their CEO was A Special Forces Veteran. Well Artie Starr NEVER served in fact he resigned effective Oct 1st. I was told he was still the CEO by the staff at a Dallas TX Venue near their Corporate Office. In fact, I was not allowed to speak to anyone at the corporate office because I was not important. What got me to Dallas was I inquired about a membership was told it was 20% hero's discount at the end of Aug. I had to have hand surgery beginning Sept. on Oct 31st I asked about getting the contract and was told it was now 10%. When I sent the emails showing what I was sent to the sales manager In Charlotte Jason who then Ignored me. When I tried to contact him or Corp. I was denied. So, when I was in Dallas I went by the Corp office after being denied there because I was not Important. I went to the Local venue where I met Jared and Triston and was told they understood and said they knew who to call and would fix it. That's when Triston Said that the CEO was a Special Forces Veteran. Well, being a United States Marine Veteran, this was important. To find out that is a lie. I was told in an email by another Director that I was a USMC Member no I am a USMC Veteran stark difference. No one in Topgolf Executive office will respond or address this when they shift responsibility. They lie about veteran importance and even say their CEO was a Special Forces Veteran. I hope they know trying to represent someone as a veteran is Stolen Valor is a serious crime. All Military Active, Reserve and Veterans need to let Topgolf know what lying about serving means.
