    Salmon & Grits

My daughter took me her for Mother's Day' Brunch. I was like this a Club! There was a line we got there but we didn't wait long. I was surprised when asked for my ID and search my purse, but the place was really nice and the server was very informative. They gave out a red rose for the mothers. We both got the fried salmon and grits. OMG that was the best salmon and grits I ever had. It had a lot of flavor plentiful. I was full and the music was a vibe. I really enjoyed. I would go back during the brunch hours.

I got their hot honey lemon peppers and they were AMAZING! Cooked perfectly and seasoned very well and the sauce was so good! Service was okay, ambiance is that of a lounge or club. But overall their food was pretty good

I highly recommend! I advise you to make a reservation especially on Wednesdays for $9 lamb chops special! Packed! Parking lot very small for the customers that attend get there early! Ambiance is renovated and I enjoyed the food, drinks and music. Ladies wear flats if you do not have a table!!

The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered several things between my part of 4. The were also . The ambience is club like. We went during the day to watch a football game. The waitress that waited on us doll. Great personality and was able to make recommendations. Now the security guard needs more training. The once guy was disrespected but he was definitely checked. What you bring is what you get.

They are really strict with "dress code" I had to change my shoes lol (luckily I had some in the car), they check IDs at the door and purses. But the guy was really nice about it. We had a huge party so the host tried her best to sit us all together or close enough. Me and my friends had to sit at a separate booth but it wasn't too far from the rest of the party. There is a 90 min time limit for the table, so our waitress was quick to take orders and get us fed and out lol. I wasn't mad at her but I also don't like to be rushed when we were with a party of people. I got the cheesesteak omelet which was okay, it was salty but not a lot of other flavor and the potatoes were not crispy and lacked flavor as well. My friends fried lamb chops she said was really good but the grits needed some salt. My favorite thing I ate was the spinach dip with crab (not pictured). I absolutely love spinach dip so I ate that bowl clean. My bf got the jerk bbq wings and those were honestly really good as well. They were spicy and flavorful and had a good bit of meat on them. I love the set up of the lounge. I'd definitely come back for a night on the town and rent a booth out.

The caesar salad is bag salad. Not worth ordering. Definitely not worth the price. Stick to the fried foods & more popular items.

This is a review of STATS as a restaurant and not a night lounge Interesting experience to dine here because you get card to go inside on a Thursday at 5pm but glad I went out of my comfort zone. Got their drinks special and wings. Hit the spot for an after work pleasure. Service at the bar is also fun.

I would encourage drinks and appetizers to be served as quickly as humanly possible. I was half way finished with my steak when my drink got delivered. Our poor waitress tried her best but the bar was swamped. Because it was during brunch hour no one could order any non brunch items like salad from their normal menu. My heart was set on having lamb chops and I had steak instead. The music overpowered simple table conversations to the point of discomfort. My vist was just ok. But the drink made things much better

I had the best spinach dip with crab! It was piping hot and delicious! I would definitely go back again!

Had Sunday brunch with the girls at Stats and I can honestly say this was definitely a day party. Folks celebrating their birthdays, dancing enjoying hooka; oh yes and DJ that was "On Point" added to the all the way live atmosphere! Now the down side was the food took a long time to come to the table and the portions are smaller than they used to be. Just an FYI there is a two hour table limit so once you get your food, don't get too comfortable because they will kindly let you know that you must vacate. All in all, if you're looking to turn up at a Sunday brunch this is your spot. Just an FYI; there's a lot of booty shaking, so Stats is not for the Sunday morning saints.

It's been a while since I've gone to a restaurant and everything was perfect. STATS has done that for me. Every single person working there was kind and helpful. The space, which I hear is newly renovated is beautiful and spacious. The hookah, which I admit I can be picky about, was smooth and long lasting. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I had to get the Catfish and Grits. The grits were the perfect texture (not too thick and not too loose). The Catfish was double battered, so there was that satisfying crunch and the middle was meaty. The fish was perfectly seasoned and accompanied the grits well especially with the crab meat and sauce. My best friend said I HAD to get the Spinach Dip, and now I'm saying, YOU HAVE TO GET THE SPINACH DIP. Every detail was on point in terms of freshness, flavor, and quality, even down to the chip. To drink, I ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita. Shoutout to the bartender, for real, because they have perfected this drink. To top the experience off, the DJ was doing his thing! STATS is a must-visit in Charlotte.

We went across the street and they didn't allow dogs on the patio so a quick Yelp search led us to Jack Beagles. With a dog in the name, I figured it would be dog friendly and I was right... it's event dog friendly inside which was great since we had the baby and it was hot out. They were happy to seat us in the dining room and since breakfast was about to end and lunch was about to start, we had the option of both. Some ordered breakfast and a few of us order the tenders because our server said it was one of the most popular items. I don't normally go for tenders at a new place, but they had garlic parm which drew me in. They were pretty great and served with waffle fries. My buddy got this massive burger that I was eyeing as well and I had a little bit of food envy when it came out. It was called The Big Bear and was sporting 2 Patties, 2 X Bacon, 2 x White American Cheese, Pickled Jalapeno, and Chipotle Aioli. I would definitely try that next time. Only odd thing was that when the burger came out, my buddy asked for a knife other than a butter knife to cut it since it was so big. Instead of offering to bring it to the kitchen to cut it, she came out from the back to say they don't have any steak knives and the only sharp ones are with the cook. No big deal, but a little odd. Anyway, we had a great lunch before hitting the road that accommodated all of our needs.

Luckily we snagged a spot and walked over to the lake area. We were seated quickly and our server took drink orders and gave us a chance to review the large menu. There is lots to choose from but, we decided on shrimp tacos. We tried the chipotle tacos and the grilled shrimp tacos. Both were very good. You get a choice of sides, and we tried the Mexican street corn salad and the Mac and cheese. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn salad. It was served cold, but I wasn't really a fan of the taste. The Mac and cheese looked creamy and gooey and was told it was really good. Next time I will order a different side. The atmosphere here is bright and lively with a nice view of the water where you can take paddle boat rides. People love to walk over here, so it is nice to have an open view. The restaurant has a tiki bar vibe and has surfing theme throughout the place. Really fun and relaxing. This is a great stop if you are in the area, expect to circle the lot a bit on the weekends, but the food and atmosphere are great here. We will definitely return to Boardwalk Billy's.

We started with the deviled eggs, which were not too creamy and very well spiced. We then ordered cranberry mimosas, a chicken and waffle, an a veggie omelet. The cranberry mimosas were so fun because we got to make them ourselves! The chicken and waffle was ok- I requested gravy on the side but it certainly needed the sauce. The waffle was a little dry and the chicken was average. The veggie omelet was excellent and I enjoyed the fillings. I'm not a potato fan, but my friend enjoyed the potatoes. The biscuit was standard too but complemented the veggie omelet well. I'd say the star of the show were the fried French toast sticks- they were hot, sweet, and hit the spot perfectly.
