Out for a drink on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Small Bar is small but they make up for it in friendly. They have a full liquor selection, a few taps and a fridge full of beers. The young lady working the bar today was nice and poured our two drinks. As there was a pretty loud crowd inside, we opted to sit outside. Outside, a view of the sand volleyball courts was nice. Hands down the best wings on the block! It's a little loud for me so I just get takeout.

We went to Small Bar for the first time because they were participating in the $6 Charlotte Burger Week. The burger (and fries) were excellent! The grilled chicken sandwich could have used some overnight brining because the chicken breast was very tough. It's a small place (hence the name) but a great place to sit outside, drink a beer, and watch some beach volleyball. Tiylor was an excellent waitress and bartender. Give that girl a raise; she was doing it all for the inside and outside customers! read more

My husband and I met friends to listen to a band at Small Bar. Awesome because we knew Michael Sivo who was playing drums for Blonde Ambition. Very busy with sand volleyball games and an appreciative crowd outside. We grabbed drinks and hotdogs from a cart and enjoyed the rock and roll. You rarely find these types of bars, atmosphere, and patrons in the Charlotte area these days. I typically refer to them as a "Charlotte dive bar circa 2005, like The Graduate". But, when you find one out in the wild like this, it's a nice welcoming feel. Not that I plan to become a regular or anything, but I truly enjoyed myself here. It has a variety of activities on the patio from volleyball to corn hole. They have a respectable selection of beer and liquor. Shots rule the land among a constituency of Bud Light and Hard Seltzer drinkers. I mean, it's a great dive! It's a great, one a few months experience, it's great... just go. i've been enjoying small bar for years, but i'm not impressed with the new bartender lindsey. she is slow making basic drinks and don't bother asking for a speciality like long island iced tea or an old fashioned and she has an attitude problem. don't expect service with a smile from her. i still left a decent tip as maybe she had a bad day, but i'll find a new watering hole if this is what i have to deal with. read more

Went there to watch Monday night football. There was a patron that was clearly overserved. He tried to pay his tab and leave, the bartender told him he needed a shot for the ride! Then he leaves comes back in a minute later and get served another mixed drink and a shot. He then began yelling rasist slers! After the third time I said something about it and the bartender kicked me out! Said he's a regular and if I don't like it I could leave! It's a bar. It's small. It's Small Bar! It's cousin is right out front: Huge Patio! Sound like my review for the location at the A.X. Music Factory? Yep. It's pretty close. This time they offer BIG FOOD! the "first reviewer" commented the menu looks like standard bar food... He never gave it a chance. Yes, it might appear as "standard bar food" but it certainly tastes nothing like "standard bar food!" I agree with his confusion on $6 snack mix, as I feel so does the owner.. and the last time visiting he took care of my friends when they asked for some the snack mix... Although, it is very tasty! So just ask, maybe they'll work with you if you're there ordering drinks. Mark - the main guy you've probably always seen slignin' drinks at the aforementioned location is the owner and he can be seen here as well! Very nice guy to chat with. I've never had an issue with the service as was mentioned in the first review. The second time in Kendra was awesome, attentive and really took care of us! It is not a fancy place at all, so don't be afraid to get up, walk around and ask questions. Don't expect to be waited on hand and foot like a fancy place. I'm not sure how the previous restaurant was - but I'm sure it was nothing like the current. No, they don't have a drink menu. If you're not at the bar - stand up and walk towards the bar and see what options they offer! Be advised - they do not have draft beer. The Small Bar concept consists of poison that comes in can or bottle form and of course your common hard liquor poison. Every day they have different Happy Hour specials from 4-8pm! Very affordable! I've been coming to small bar for Cornhole on Saturdays however and find myself coming here more and more just because of the great price is the good atmosphere and the really awesome people you got outdoor patios pet friendly outside of sand volleyball court two of them and bonfires in the front and friendly service and they sitting on the inside. My SO and I stopped in for drinks and some late night bar food for the first time recently. The service was good. The drinks were good. Everyone there at the time seemed to be regulars and the bartender was very friendly. It is a bit of a dive bar but all the best ones are, and this is definitely a good one read more

This is my first visit here on Saturdays they hold a corn hole tournament starting at 3 o'clock and goes all night. Great prices great service indoor outdoor. They even have a sand volleyball court in the backyard and additional patios and there's a bonfire in the front in case you get cold great service friendly people would totally come back even if there wasn't Cornhole. read more

Most of the bartenders are rude if you're a girl. If you're a guy, then they are super nice all the sudden. Our tab was small and we just wanted to enjoy a night out peacefully but the man "running the place " was so drunk he was rude. apparently on Wednesday nights they like to kick everybody out early so crew members (and by crew members I mean one was drinking at the bar "off the clock" and rushed everyone out even though it wasn't closing time yet) so they can play poker night. I get it: if you're wanting to have poker night after work go for it, but don't rush all the customers out early saying "you'll take their drink" 5 minutes before the bar actually closes and you're not even working and taking shots back to back at the bar. Just over all terrible service, one or two people there make it seem nice, but most are not. read more

So first impression I got was great. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff, a "regulars" kind of place. Drink and food specials nightly. It is a small space so it can and does get loud, but has a surprisingly large deck with lots of picnic tables and seating that's lite with string lighting. Very welcoming area. Well maintained place but parking lot could use a little help. Been here many times and love the diversity of customers. All ages, races, and backgrounds having a good time, welcomed, and comfortable. At Christmas, they had all the customers share bottles of puff paint to decorate paper plates. They cut them out and decorated their little Christmas tree with them. Fun enter action that made you want to come back and see what made it on the tree! Small food menu with things like Pierogis, Hot dogs(BEST EVER-ask to have the onions grilled), etc. Has LS tv inside with usual sports fare playing. Funny sign out front with sayings like "Soup of the day: Whiskey". Enter with that laid back attitude and enjoy. I recommend this place to you and all my other local friends! Small Bar is great! Super cold beer and the prices are the cheapest I've found in the area! They play great tunes and the staff is awesome. Mark was beyond nice! Have gone to one in Stallings a few times and had an awesome buffalo chicken sandwich, huge piece of chicken. Ate at the Fort Mill one recently and they served 3 chicken tenders on their sandwich. Horrible...very little blue cheese. Seemed like they're cutting corners. read more
