    Street Corn Salad
    Tim K.

Close to the hotel, good variety of food choices, prices, reasonable. So we went. It's a big restaurant with plenty of open seating, indoor and out. A bit too hot to sit outside, so we sat inside. Looked at the menu with quite a few choices of drinks and food. Wasn't super hungry so went with the Street Corn Salad. It's a filling salad with grilled chicken, iceberg charred corn lentils, billionaires bacon, roasted jalapeos, parmesan pico de gallo, green onions, cilantro tortilla strips, and lime vinaigrette dressing. Hard pass on the dressing, swapped it out for honey mustard. I like the salad. The others like their meal as well, but the general consensus was, the food was OK. The hostess and staff were friendly.

Football season is here. And Twin Peaks is the place to be. I can see at the bar and see all four games at once. It's too expensive to try to get NFL channel. Most of the time, food is really good. The Mom's pot roast was ok. But I never have a dish that was awful. Drinks are fairly priced and customer services are good. Most ppl aka guys would say it's nice to watch sport and have some eye candies serving them food. So they won't complains I'm also find with that. I usually opted to sit at the bar. All works out for me.

The coldest beer in the Carolinas ! Great daily happy hour food and drink specials. Always a great time when we have visited.

Joe S.: "What brand of tequila is in the house margarita?" Waitress: "Vodka" Joe S.: "I'll get a beer" That exchange pretty much summed up the service and intelligence of the waitress (I use the term loosely). Ordering drinks was a total cluster in the sense she didn't know anything, and various beers we ordered, they were out of or the bartender had to come over to confirm our order because even she said the waitress was confused by my order. It was a beer that was on the menu and I said it by name. So why 3 stars and not 1? Well, the food was absolutely F'in delicious. The Thai Sticky Ribs were so great. It was super tender, slow roasted then tossed in the deep fryer for crispiness, then tossed in a delicious Thai inspired sauce and sesame seeds. Great Appetizer! The moist towelette provided was bone dry, but a quick trip to the restroom solved that problem For my meal, I ordered the Lobster Mac N Cheese and there were pretty big chunks of lobster in it. It also had corn in it which I thought was odd, but it didn't ruin the dish. I was impressed by the amount of lobster and the richness of the dish! If you're South of Charlotte, think about heading over the border to SC to give this a try. There's also a Frugal McDougals there if you're looking for some booze to erase the memories terrible waitressing.

Great experience. It's a nicely decorated restaurant with a lot of seating. Sat at the bar and the two servers there were very nice and helpful. Food was very tasty. The food came out quickly although it was happy hour.

    1.5hrs for that.

All beer on tap at this place are from local breweries. The pork belly appetizer is more of a compliment to the mean as it came after, but damn was that thing extremely tender. Minimal effort with a fork and knife. If they got rid of the slaw, and put it on some mash potatoes or what all the hipster places do, putting it on 'bao' that would absolutely make it. Prices are on par with the neighboring area. However being from Hawaii, I'm shocked that the prices here and the other places in the area are equal to, or higher than Hawaii. Would recommend.

The drinks were well made, arrived promptly, and hit the spot. Now, about those tabletops. Bless their hearts--they've seen some history. When you set your phone down and it sticks like it's trying to establish residency, it might be time for a wire brush, a little sandpaper, and whatever industrial-strength cleaner is hiding in the back room. A damp rag has done all it can do. Still, good service and good cocktails have a way of making a fellow forgive a sticky situation. We'd happily stop back... though next time I might bring a putty knife to retrieve my phone.

We were looking for lighter fare and the menu had so many options to choose from. The lavender honey butter with the warm bread surprised me the most - the bread was fluffy and cloud like and divine with the butter. We nearly ordered another one, but it was just so decadent. The mezze platter had lots of great bites for our varied palates, loved the whipped ricotta and all the olives and fried naan. Harrisa roasted carrots were our idea of something healthy, and they may have been nutritious but tasted just as good as any main dish. Our server kindly warned us to be careful of the fresno chiles on the pork belly dish, and we appreciated that. They were quite spicy but very good with the slaw and pork belly - excellent bite of savory, crunchy, spicy and just a wee bit sweet was possible on that one. We happened to benefit from some wine specials and opted for a couple of bottles of wine at a serious discount that were excellent. Our server made great recommendations and made sure our glasses never ran dry. The manager also checked in on our group but was never intrusive. We enjoyed the booth seating near the window and the vibe was definitely upbeat but casual. It hit the spot!

James, the host, welcomed us with such a warm smile that, even though I'm visiting from Dallas, I immediately felt right at home. That kind of genuine Southern hospitality is hard to find and made the experience even more memorable. The food was phenomenal, and the mac and cheese tasted just like something Big Mama would make--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The brisket was tender, the mac and cheese was great, and the coleslaw rounded it out nicely. What really impressed me was that I got this to-go -- and it was still excellent by the time I got home. That says a lot. Good barbecue doesn't always travel well, but this held up. Only thing I'd note is the wait -- had my order in around 6:10 and didn't head out until 6:35 or so. Wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a dealbreaker, but worth knowing if you're on a tight schedule. Overall, great find. Already eyeing the brisket burnt ends for next time.
