Only discovered this PVD gem several months ago and since then my partner and I have been hooked-- we're vegetarians and sometimes it's difficult to find places that are both high quality and accommodate. Caspian does an excellent job of doing these AND providing super friendly and amazing service (literally everyone I've interacted with ever, although special props to the main chef, I think, as well as the woman behind the register-- love her!). Strongly recommend the Funky Monkey iced coffee, the pancakes, and egg sandwiches-- superb!!! Although it seems small, there's a decent-sized patio in the back with a large awning. My partner and I stopped there the first time early in the morning with one of our dogs and they were so happy to greet her and seat us outside in the back, where we stayed dry while enjoying our food on a rainy day. read more

A standard mediocre breakfast place - we both got omelettes that were edible but not delicious. Home fries were dry and unseasoned, and dry toast was served with no jam on the side. For the price I wish we had just stayed home and made our own breakfast...service was okay, someone came and left a check on our table and we left our card and waited awhile and someone finally told us we needed to pay inside - good to know. My friend and I love to come to this place -- formerly known as Cafe Zog because the other brunch places on Wickenden are always so crowded. While the workers are friendly and warm, the food is truly just mediocre. Their special drinks are pretty interesting. Plus, they are reasonably priced. However, it doesn't make up for the subpar food (or the fruit flies and gnats). Overall, Caspain is a good alternative to Amy's Place or Brickway since it is usually not ever that crowded. But if I'm craving a delicious breakfast in a trendy location, it's probably not my go-to. read more

The night before my visit - due to a lack of Ubers, we had to hoof up Wickenden past this place and all I could think was 'Oh to be at Caspian'. I got the short stack of pancakes with strawberries and the avocado, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. The pancakes were warm and fluffy. The breakfast sandwich was so tasty! During a Monday off from work my wife and I made it to this spot after searching for a breakfast restaurant near us. Based on the Yelp reviews we decided to give this place a shot and we're very glad we did. We each ordered a smoothie ahead of our entrees and we both enjoyed the drinks immensely. We actually had to pace ourselves otherwise we would have easily finished them before our meals. The service was prompt with the owner of the restaurant taking our order. She shared her story with us and we were very happy to support another locally owned business. My omelette was just what I ordered, a meaty and cheesy combo, wrapped around a hearty portion of eggs. Oh and fruit on the side for my health conscious side haha. My wife ordered a more veggie centric omelette with mozzarella and bacon on the side which I ate most of haha. Overall a great experience, very good breakfast food, and helping a local business feeds the karma bank. Will be back again the next time we're in the neighborhood. read more

We came into this town for a quick trip from NYC. We randomly chose this place. I had the caspian eggs Benedict, pancakes with eggs and sausages and a short stack with strawberries and whipped cream. The pancakes we're definitely the show of the meal. So delicious! The staff was very friendly. I interacted with a younger server and the chef. Both were very friendly! Bum's Rush. We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning after Amy's had a 30 minute wait to serve the food (which sounded delicious btw). When we started our meal, this was going to be a nice review. New-ish ownership, family friendly, and convenient. Our server (also chef I think) Allanda (sorry, probably not quite it) was terrific and passionate about her food. We had a good egg-white mediteranean omelet, a decent latte and some straight up eggs. Nothing fancy but ok food. The place was empty when we arrived (hmmm) but filled up. Less than an hour after we sat down (maybe 40 minutes after our food arrived), the owner/host who greeted us so warmly came over and asked us to cash out because "I have a reservation for this table". Seriously, Saturday morning at a diner?? There were no lines and we were hardly malingering. We asked her why she was rushing us- she claimed 'you've been here for hours'. When we went to cash out, since they don't give you a printed bill, our server couldn't find our electronic order. The owner started arguing with us about what we had ordered, making it clear that she didn't think we were telling the truth. So, the server got a nice tip and she gets our warning to steer clear of this one. read more

My husband and I have been to Caspian weekly since first trying it in May. The food is delicious! We mostly go on Saturday or Sunday around lunch/brunch time. I've had eggs Florentine so often that servers ask if if I'm "having my usual." My husband has had eggs Benedict and also had their falafel sandwich. He's says it's the best falafel ever if anyplace around. They also serve great coffee drinks and chai tea drinks . Service is very friendly. On a nice day the back patio with umbrellas is great place to dine. Highly recommend the cafe! read more

This is one of the BEST places ever! We were over on Wickenden St to go to another breakfast place (which we found out was closed) when we found this wonderful place. So glad we did! The waitress refers to the customers as "My friend" and then she and the rest of the staff proceed to treat you as if you truly are old friends. Such lovely people work here. Beyond how incredibly nice everyone is, is the delicious food. I had the Caspian Country Eggs Benedict, and my husband had the Corned Beef Hash Omelette. Both wonderful. My husband kept talking about how good the hash was, so I ended up getting a side order for myself. Another delicious decision. Cappuccino and fresh squeezed orange juice rounded out the meal.
