This little spot is located in a weird location but you forget all about it as soon as you step in. The place is decorated so cute and the staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. They had live music that started around 7 pm on a Friday night which the band was good as well. The drinks were so yummy!! The food was 5 stars nothing disappointed everything was mouth watering and I definitely can't wait to go back to continue ordering different things from the menu. Prices are decent as well. The wait time was minimal, the ambiance was really nice. I went for lunch with my wife and son. The waitress was attentive. The restaurant is a little small but nice. The bathroom was very clean. Now to the bad. The drinks were very small and too strong. I ordered a longisland ice tea and it was horrible, I had to ask for more coke, but the waitress tried her best to fix it. My wife ordered a margarita but it didn't taste like one and it was very very small. We are going to go back for dinner to see if the experience is different. read more

What a gem! A friend told me all about this place a couple of months ago and I'm glad I finally got to check it out. It was phenomenal! The dragonfruit cocktail was excellent, it was well balanced and so refreshing. The apps took a while to come out but when the passionfruit-flavored wings and grilled octopus finally made it to the table, they were pipping hot and cooked to perfection. The Jarabacoa sushi was pretty good not the thing I would get again. Our server, Bernice, was an absolute sweetheart. I can't wait to come back again and try some of their other dishes. read more

I really wanted to love this place. It was good but left much to desire. There were a few positives. 1. Finally found a nice looking sit down Dominican restaurant on long Island. This place definitely set the stage without looking tacky. And it didn't have those cafeteria hot plates most Dominican restaurants have. 2. Very friendly waiter, the place is small enough where he was able to be the only one taking orders. And he answered all of my questions, he even went to the kitchen when he didn't know an answer. 3. Music was set to a decent volume and played a nice variety. Now to the stuff I hope they reconsider: 1. The food was edible but not amazing. We had the Dominican pizza as an appetizer. It was very rich for an appetizer but tasty. The problem was it was barely warm and not crispy at all. For our entrees we had the steak and red snapper, those tasted freshly made right off the grill/fryer but the sides were barely warm. We had the yuca fries and tostones. The tostones we not crispy at all and the yuca fries were a bit dry. They were definitely not made to order which is a shame because it doesn't take long to batch fry tostones. 2. Please get some shades! If you get there around sun set the sun is unbearable and there's not much they can do because they have bamboo shades that don't block the sun. The place has potential but I wouldn't take another half hour drive for this place. read more

From the lovely waitress, Erica who thoroughly knew the menu, to the DELICIOUS food on the menu, we had a perfect evening. Every dish was delicious from the apps (empanadas, casita buffalo wings & mofunguitos) to the entrees of grilled skirt steak w/chimichuri sauce, fried whole snapper w/fried plantain & salad . The food and drinks were tasty, but honestly, the drinks are a bit overpriced. I really liked their twist on Dominican pizza and my husband was happy with the portion of his skirt steak meal and sides. Our waiter was awesome--he checked on us just the right amount and made sure we were enjoying everything. The hostess, however, was another story. She wasn't welcoming at all and didn't seem interested in making us comfortable. We asked to sit away from the door since it was freezing outside, but she put us right in front of it anyway, saying the other tables were reserved. The whole time we ate (with our coats on!), those tables stayed empty. We also noticed she seemed way friendlier with people she knew, greeting them with a kiss on the cheek and seating them in the warmer, cozier spots toward the back. Would I go back? Maybe if I happen to be nearby, or probably just for takeout next time. read more

This was delicious and fresh. Rice and beans have a creamier sauce than Ive had with Dominican food. it came in a tiny little cast iron pot - so cute. Margaritas were tasty. If your planning any event DO NOT use them for catering... I normally do not do not post bad reviews but this has to be know... We used them for thanksgiving catering and they provided a unfinished turkey and pernil that both required over a hour in the oven.. the communication was terrible and extremely disappointed even emailed the restaurant and have yet to get a response.. but the regular day to day menu i cannot say its the same but for catering it was a terrible experience read more

The fact that they say the close at 7pm and I called at 545pm and they tell me that all the cooks are out doing deliveries is crazy never heard cooks doing the delivery for a restaurant that needs cooks so their guest can eat. read more
