Very much enjoyed take out tonight. Purnil, garlic shrimp, plantains, San cancho soup, rice and beans, white rice, avocado, salad, oxtail, all the goodies. Food wasn't too over seasoned which I appreciated. I'm happily adding whatever spice I want. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the dining room looked incredible. The French dressing was great! As was the garlic sauce. It's the minced stuff I believe from the jar. I'll order again. They didn't have any rotisserie chicken ready so I'll get that next time.

I decided to give this place another try for breakfast. The meat that we ordered was extremely dry even with sauce, my boyfriend struggled to eat it and I refused to. The tostones tasted fine we had to add salt. The fried cheese tasted great and mangu needed salt as well. I ordered double fried cheese since I don't eat eggs. Unfortunately the food was cold. I do prefer the breakfast over the dinner.

I had the churassco steak, yellow rice & beans, plantains and salad. The meal was $18.00 but big enough for 2 people. You can order to go or you can sit and order your food. The food was delicious, staff was friendly.

Average Dominican food. I wanted to give this place one more star because their mofongo was sooo good. However, the rest of the food was just average. We came here on a Tuesday at around 4 and we ordered a mofongo made of chicharrón, skirt steak with rice and beans, and sautéed steak with rice beans. The food was just average, don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad at all but it definitely didn't give me a wow effect. The prices here are also average. The skirt steak dish is about $19 and the reg steak was $15, the mofongo was around $10 but it was larger than average. I would def recommend this place if you're looking for a good mofongo. I would try their dessert and homemade juices next time I'm around. Overall the place is def outdated and could use some remodeling. It has more of like a diner feel, the owner did say he was in the process of doing some remodeling, hopefully we will get to see this next time we visit.

Decided to visit this place because of the reviews and the location -- it was close to my doctor's office. Well, I will not return. It was just okay. I am used to Spanish food with flavor. This food had absolutely no flavor. I understand that many restaurants want to decrease their use of salt...but would you please add a bit of sazon or sofrito?! The food "looks" appetizing but it is very bland. I will say that the roast pork was the best (for lack of a better word) out of everything I tried...if you order it make sure they give you plenty of the juices from the roast pork on top of the meat to keep it juicy. The plus...the women were very friendly and understood my Spanglish! Lol! Do I recommend: No. -- sorry

Then the host mentioned there was a table, but it was reserved for 6:00 PM. Since we wouldn't be staying that late, we were seated and given menus. Shortly after, when we expected to place our order, the waitress told us we couldn't remain at the table because it was actually reserved for 4:00 PM. She quickly took our menus and suggested we move to the bar. We were a group of four, so this wasn't ideal. We ended up sitting at the bar. During that time, multiple tables for four became available, but no one offered to seat us again. About 20 minutes later, the restaurant was nearly empty, and the table that supposedly had a reservation was never used. We left the restaurant at 5:00pm. The confusing and inconsistent information--from one person saying the next reservation was at 6:00 PM to another rushing us out claiming it was at 4:00 PM--made the experience unnecessarily complicated. It would have been appreciated if the staff had communicated better or offered us a table once more became available. While the situation left us feeling somewhat overlooked, the restaurant itself has potential. With better coordination and customer awareness, this could be a much better experience.

Appetizers, Empanadas, although flavorful, came lukewarm, at best, as if they had been sitting under a warm lamp waiting for their name to be called, instead of cooked to order. The Guacamole, the same. Brownish, as if it sat in the molcajete awaiting the next guest's order. Accompanying Plantain Chips the same. They should be cooked to order and served hot tableside. The Fried Cheese is a good addition. You should not taste stale oil that it was fried in though. The Mofongo (Chicken) was decent, although a tad stiff (it definitely needed the Amarillo sauce.) The fried Chicken Strips again, should've been hot but were lukewarm. The Mofongo's serving amount was smaller than what we're normally used to but it's a dish we could reorder. The Seafood tower lacked flavor and was overcooked. Every piece of Seafood curdled (Shrimp, Lobster Tails). The Crablegs seemed old, as they had black spots on some of the legs. The Tower definitely needed the Sauce, which seemed prebottled and not exclusive. It doesn't take much to make an Housemade Seafood Boil sauce versus just providing an oily pre-bottled one. The Grilled Chicken with Rice and Beans, seems like a safe bet but here are the issues/concerns: 1. The Grilled Chicken flavor was fantastic and the Char was perfect! The Chicken itself was rubbery and congealed, as if it was wet brined too long. Rendered it inedible. The rice was good but the Frijoles severely lacked flavor or a decent amount of beans. Fallen skin from overcooked beans does not count! The Drinks were worrh coming for. The Coquito, Berry Smash and Manhattan were all fuerte (strong) and REALLY good! BE CAREFUL to NOT PARK in the lot adjacent to the right. They do have a dedicated lot on the left, behind the main restaurant and next to their Hookah across the street by the docks. It's gravel so watch your heels ladies They play music so it'sa fun vibe. Puerto Plata is a good time if you eat first and come for drinks and music afterwards.

A megamix is a frozen alcoholic beverage that comes in a glass in different colored swirls. We didn't ask what was in it but be careful, 2 can be dangerously!! We were a group of four and had their chicken wings as appetizers and shared their seafood bucket for two. The bucket had salmon, jumbo shrimp, lobster, broccoli, carrots and I may be missing a vegetable or two. For dessert, we had a chocolate lava cake with a side of vanilla ice cream. Super delicious!
