Coffee Pub? Yes! What a great concept, especially for a neighborhood coffee shop that is off the beaten path. You can enjoy fantastic coffee drinks and delicious pastries for breakfast. If you want something more substantial, try the breakfast burrito, they are delicious. For lunch or dinner, they have lots of tasty grilled and cold sandwiches and wraps. I recommend the turkey with apple and havarti. If you go during happy hour (5:00-7:00) you get a dollar off wine, beer and well drinks. Inside is warm and inviting and the baristas so friendly. Sit outside at one of the many tables in a sunny day. While we all love small neighborhood places, many struggle to stay open. With hours from 7am-8pm and food and beverages that span coffee and pastries to a glass of wine and a grilled sandwich, this is a great way to serve the neighborhood and maximize business. Located on NW Front Street, right across from Dockside, Cascadia is a hidden gem. Definitely give them a visit! Since I work out at the Pearl LA Fitness, this is a great spot to meet friends afterwards. Parking is on street. read more

Nice Atmosphere, but Price Confusion Needs Attention I live right upstairs from this coffee shop, so I stop by every now and then. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and it's a cozy spot to grab a coffee. However, I've noticed some confusion around the pricing. Typically, I order a 16-ounce iced coffee, which is listed at $3.75 on the Google menu. But sometimes, I've been charged $5 for the same drink, as shown on their Yelp menu. Today, when I ordered the same 16oz iced Americano, it was $5.50, which seemed a bit much. I checked the menu but couldn't find anything priced that high except for their Matcha Lattes and Cascadia Tonic. Since I was paying in cash and didn't bring enough with me, I opted for a cheaper option. I'm not writing this to criticize the shop--because I do enjoy going there--but I do think the prices need to be updated or clarified to avoid confusion. It would be great if there was consistency between the menu and what customers are charged. read more

I've been coming here for the past 2 years and I am so grateful that this coffee shop exists in this side of town. I LOVE that they offer both coffee and alcohol, my two most favorite things. A perfect day here would be to start work with a delicious MATCHA LATTE up until 5 PM when HAPPY HOUR starts (which consists of $1 off a glass of wine, beer, or wells drink, until 7 PM). It can get a little noisy during peak hours when people come in and out, but for the most part, it's a place I can go to when I need a change of scenery from my home office. Was helping a friend move and found myself in this neighborhood needing a caffeine pick me up. Found free street parking across the street. Although tempted by the many alcohol options, I opted for the Oat's N Honey, since it was one of their signature cafe drinks. Made with espresso, Wildflower Homey, Cinnamon & Oat Milk. Delicious. Sat and enjoyed my drink in the casual environment. Variety of folks, either working/studying solo, or a group of friends chatting. Food looked good, too. If it would just be easier to find parking I'll stop here all morning and evening! First of all a great and friendly team. Second, it's a coffee pub (Yae never heard that before? It's a great category of their own) and since it is roasting their own beans the coffee is great! And yes a lot of places do that these days but very few do it right. Cascadia does exactly that. And they have a small food menu - and to be honest, I'll have not had the chance to get more than "The Deluxe"a hearty bit spicy (not killing!) it is so good I'll have to have it every time I went to cascadia. A delicious sandwich - with a lot of eggs and bacon its one thing you need to try. They offer it in half or full. I would recommend ordering the full and take one-half home with you - you will not regret it. So what else is different and makes it to my favorite coffee spot in Portland so far? I mentioned the great team and that is already half of the important items - but all they do has a little twist very personal approach - they even make their Syrups for the coffees - and where else can you sit with friends have a whiskey a sandwich or muffin and a cup of great coffee? Such a cozy neighborhood spot down by the riverfront! My boyfriend and I split the maple breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito (adding in the bacon, pickled onions and sriracha mayo) and both were SO delicious and filling. The oats and honey latte iced added the perfect bit of sweetness to our breakfast too. I am already planning to return to try out the chocolate chip cookies and other baked goods (and the beers!! Love this place so much. My husband and I go to it all the time. We are so glad we live next to it. Anytime we are not in the mood to make food or just want to get out of the house for a bit to get a drink we come here. Our go to food is always Mac and cheese. Always so good to eat. I discovered this place while on a walk during the COVID-19 pandemic. They were open and we wanted to get some espresso while supporting a local business. We walked in and were immediately welcomed by Dylan. They had social distancing measures in place with arrows on the ground, which I really appreciated. Prices were fair, even on the lower end compared to other coffee shops in the area. We had a nice convo with him and ordered some lattes to-go :) Glad to be able to help out a small business while getting some fresh air, human interaction, and espresso. Gosh, I kinda feel bad leaving less than stellar review because the young lady who was working by herself on a Sunday afternoon seems really nice, but I honestly wasn't all that impressed. Let me start by saying I found this on here, (yelp) read the info, saw that it said "full bar", and thought, can't think of anything better to end the day of work than having a cocktail with my non-drinking friend! Got here and it is definitely NOT a full bar. I asked the young lady behind the counter if one of their drinks is sweet and she says she doesn't know because she's never tried it. She's the one making this, btw. I'm flabbergasted because it's not that hard to stick a straw in there and taste the product that you just made, to make sure of the quality. Anyway, got the Mac and cheese with pulled pork for $9, because of the picture someone else posted. In the picture it was topped with fried onions and bits of jalapeños. What I got was none of that. Reheated Mac and cheese in a ikea white bowl dumped with maybe two spoonfuls of clumped up bbq "pulled" pork. It tasted okay but it definitely did not look anything like any picture in here. I honestly don't know why I didn't take a picture myself, but as they say, hindsight is 20/20. Anyway, all in all. I was not impressed with the food. I gave 3 stars for 1 the cleanliness of the place. 1 for the young lady (she was fast) 1 for the clean tables outside Minus 2 stars for - for the food - and cocktail drinks (and the lack of knowledge of the cocktails) I didn't even mention that there's no parking, because that's just the way the area is laid out. Got to hang out with my non-alky friend in one place, but not coming back willingly. read more

I've been looking for places to sit and get caught up on work while having coffee, cider, and snacks. Well! This place has it all, kinda. They've got typical cafe drinks and monthly coffee specials, tea, and then an array of beer, wine, and cocktails. I had a coconut milk mocha and it was tasty and not overly sweet. For food it looks like they have snacks and charcuterie plates, which is nice and likely pairs well with their drinks. Inside is nice and cool and dog friendly (!!), though there are only 3 tables and your visit is limited to 1 hour. In their pictures online of their outdoor space it shows picnic tables with umbrellas. Unfortunately, when I inquired about the umbrellas I was informed they are all broken, meaning there is no sun shade from about noon onwards (the two small tables out front stay mostly shaded until about 1pm). As the days get sunnier and warmer, it will be pretty brutal to stay for long periods of time. This place is great for socializing and grabbing a bite or drink, but my search for places to camp out and study or do work will continue. Side note: if you live in a nearby apt complex or are cycling, this place is very accessible; if you're driving from a different part of town, you will need to circle a bit to find parking. read more

Mt new favorite local spot to walk to in Portland! I have only gone for beer so I can't comment on the coffee. It's in a great location and had great indoor and outdoor seating. Very dog friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I've been 3 times now and the staff is always super nice and welcoming. The prices are great and the tap list offers something for everyone. Now you can get coffee on Front Ave all day! The coffee is super delicious, and the couple behind Cascadia is a genuine, hard-working duo with a commitment to brewing quality coffee and providing excellent service. You'll occasionally see their adult children behind the bar, which tugs on my heart strings because I just love a good old fashioned family business. Food options have really expanded since Cascadia joined the team, and more small improvements come along every day. This is my happy place right now. I go in several times a week, (I'd like to go every day but my current budget just doesn't allow that), to get coffee or one of their on tap kombuchas. The owners and staff are wonderful, happy, and always positive. My favorite drink right now is the strawberry kombucha, not too sweet with a real strawberry flavor. The cold brewed coffee is fantastic and they have a good range of non dairy milks/creamers available for those of us who don't consume dairy. I haven't tried any of their take away ciders or beers but that's on my to do list. It's a great little break from the all upside down we are currently experiencing. read more
