I recently found out about Drip Drop so I had to pay a visit. I found it to be a cute space with delicious coffee and friendly employees! It is a decent sized space with fun decor and a few sitting areas. They have a variety of pastries and snacks to choose from, plus waffle breakfast sandwiches. There is also a nice variety of coffee/not coffee drinks. I went with the zucchini muffin and the Cloud 9 to 5 latte, a coconut/vanilla combination that was so good with the cold foam and caramel drizzle. I thought all of the food looked good and it was hard to choose what to eat. That waffle sandwich is calling my name! It is so important to support local businesses and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

We walked into a warm welcome with great music and relaxed vibe. The baristas were welcoming, funny, and helpful. I'm not a picky eater, but I typically find about half of a menu compelling and the other half bench-warming in my mind. At Drip Drop, all of the food items were asking for my attention. For my first visit, I decided on The Dude as did my lobster. I silently reassured the other menu items I'd return and try them too (I see you, Cuban Pete). I haven't stopped thinking about The Dude waffle sandwich since. My cardamom latte was delicious and beautiful! In some places they don't take the time for latte art in a to-go cup, but they did at Drip Drop. Is it important? Not really. Is it one of those special touches that elevates the experience? Yes, and it was appreciated! The music was one of my favorite refreshing aspects. I loved hearing classic R&B faves with a random old skool country song thrown in-- a delightful soundscape like no other coffeehouse. Finally, as a people nerd and observer of all things big and small, I loved the ease and humor between the baristas. It feels like a welcoming and supportive place to work and that kind of employee experience usually translates into exceptional products and service. Bingpot! I can't wait to return!

The baristas were so nice! I got a London fog and it hit the spot. My friends liked their drinks too. There was a lot of space to hang out and enjoy company.

Great coffee! After a long travel day we decided to stop and grab some Java. Cute little coffee shop! We had the place to ourselves and just enjoyed the coffee. It tasted as good as it looked. Great services and great vibes!

This was such a nice spot to drop in for coffee (pun intended!) I went with my mom while she was in town, and we were delighted to be able to enjoy a nice view of the park in such and cute spot. The coffee was great-- I got a seasonal pumpkin latte with almond milk which was very sweet (I love sweet coffee, but I know it isn't for all). My mom got a drip coffee which she said tasted good and high quality. The place itself is super cute-- great seating areas, excellent lighting, and tons of local art of the walls (available for purchase if something strikes your attention). Bathrooms were very clean. The staff were so warm and friendly, this felt like such a wonderful, cozy spot. Add to that the fact that the prices are reasonable and the seasonal menu is cool and creative-- this gets a recommend from me!

Such a great coffee shop. Really cool vibes and cool people. We got a hot and iced noggin' da boots and a matcha. All three were amazing drinks. I hope we have a chance to swing by again before we head out of town. Go out of your way to pay drop drop a visit. I wish they had stickers.

7/23/2025-First Visit, Drip Drop Coffee (NOT Drip Coffee Bar!): Still open and worth a visit! This is Drip Drop Coffee and YES, they are still open for business! Don't confuse it with Drip Coffee Bar on 1st SW Ave, which is temporarily closed. Be sure to enter the name correctly in your GPS or Google search so you don't end up at the wrong spot. What made my visit great: The crew here is amazing. Big shoutout to Makiah and Marcus for being incredibly welcoming and fun. Their good energy made my afternoon. Tip them well! Custom Drink Order (lesson learned): I got a 16oz Iced Latte with: -Oat milk ($1) -Extra 2 espresso shot ($2) -Hazelnut syrup ($1) Total: $9.75. If you're customizing your drink like I did, just know it adds up. It's more cost-effective to order directly off the drink menu. Food: The Dude Waffle - $12: I asked for it extra crunchy and it delivered. The sugar baked into the waffle gave it a nice touch. Standard sausage and scrambled eggs on the side. I personally prefer eggs with yolk, but Marcus explained they don't have an exhaust system, so scrambled works best for their setup and helps keep service fast. Atmosphere: -Great natural lighting throughout the shop. -Chill vibe with flexible seating options, ideal to stay and hang for a bit. -Located at street level corner of the newly colorful painted parking structure next to and on top of the café. -Street metered parking is also available. Tips: -Visit on Sundays before 1 PM for free street parking if you're not in the area. -Take your drink to-go and enjoy it across the street at Terry Schrunk Park on a nice day. -I plan to come back, order straight from the menu next time, and give their gelato a shot. -Fingers crossed one day they add brown sugar syrup, my favorite with quad expresso and oat milk! Restroom: -One-stall, gender-neutral restroom. -No toilet seat cover. -You need to ask for the key.

I enjoyed my brief experience at the Drip Drop Coffee shop. I try to visit black owned establishments whenever I travel and this one was down by my hotel in Downtown Portland. The rich aromas of coffee great you at the door and the fun, eclectic style of the space were both welcoming and entertaining. I ordered a large warm latter with oat milk and lavender syrup, which was prepared exceptionally well. The service was quick and it felt personal. I will be returning for another cup, or 20!

Great atmosphere! Love all the vintage artwork and pieces around the shop. They had a variety of seasonal flavors on their menu but I opted for a plain latte which was good by itself. The workers were very nice. I would come back!

Saturday night is your big night. Everybody used to fry up fish and have one hell of a time. Find me playing till sunrise for 50 cents and a sandwich. And be glad of it. And they really liked the low-down blues -- Muddy Waters I didn't come here on my big night. I came here a bit sluggish on the morning of a conference. This was recommended by a coworker at same conference. She was right about the waffle breakfast sandwich! I had "The Dude". Very good, better than the Bruxie sandwiches down in Southern California that started the waffle sandwich trend. The orange juice was nice too, they had Mexican Coke in a bottle which I had for my caffeine fix. Not sluggish after this meal. Workers were friendly, plenty of seats to eat here instead of at hotel. Highly recommended!!

This just opened up by my job. I had a latte w no flavor. So good. I had the Italian and friend had the cuban. No complaints! They have pastries too. I need to try the orange scone. Thats my real test I don't know about GF. I'll have to inquire for the hubs when he comes to have lunch with me. He would love a Cuban. Staff was wonderful

Drip Drop Coffee is the coffee shop vibe I've been looking for since moving to Portland (been here 5 months!). The place feels like a living room, smooth music, spacious with different nooks to chat, read or work. Food is delicious, definitely try the panini's. The staff is friendly, welcoming and just cool! . I'll be back as a regular for real.

They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

I have probably spent a couple thousand dollars on their business. Not being able to pour my cup of coffee in a to-go cup when leaving is ridiculous and not standard practice. I found this out the hard way when I had ordered a drip coffee for here and, when leaving, the women kinda snapped at me when I kindly asked for an 8oz to-go cup. I'm on their bi weekly coffee subscription. I'm located in Portland and my bag of beans was routed from Portland to Detroit, then San Francisco then back to my home in Portland on my last order. How odd. I tried reaching out to them to figure out what's going on and there is no way of contacting their business. Their website has no contact information and I called multiple times and no one would pick up the phone. I finally found a personal gmail account linked to their business somewhere on their google business profile but no one ever responded to me. I find it to be very odd that they're running an online business, you can't contact them, and they don't have anyone attending customer service. That's very bad practice. If it weren't for how good the coffee is, PushXPull would be dead last on my preferred coffee shop. I'll update my review once these issues are addressed.

They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists. Every drink looks like a masterpiece, but more importantly, the milk texture is always silky and perfectly steamed. The Aesthetic: The space is stunning. Inside secret: Don't miss out on the great selection of truly authentic Egyptian foods and pastries, as well as some really nice necklaces and earrings. If you need that piece to pull your whole Nefertiti look together before going out for a Saturday of dancing and fun... this is your hidden gem!

His hospitality set the tone for the whole evening--warm, relaxed, and full of conversation between people from all over the world. One of the highlights was watching Joe prepare traditional Egyptian coffee over hot sand, a centuries-old method that slowly heats the coffee and brings out deep, rich flavors. But the real comfort of the night came in the form of Egyptian Sahlab. Imagine a thick, creamy winter drink made from warm milk, gently sweetened and flavored with vanilla and orange blossom water. Those of you who tried it know what I am talking about! It was very nice to get a beautiful taste of Egyptian culture right here on Hawthorne. Huge thanks to Joe for the incredible hospitality and for sharing these traditions with us. I hope they expand to include a full Egyptian, Mediterranean food menu.

We ordered Kids Chicken Tender Basket, Kids Cheeseburger Basket, Portobello Mushroom sandwich, Fried Chicken Sandwich protein style which had 2 small chicken strips. The chicken strips from the $12 kids meal were bigger and had more! Wonderwood Cheeseburger protein style came with waffle fries. When I got my burger it was the patty only, they forgot all the toppings which they apologized for and remade for me. When they brought back the new burger the fries were very cold. I think this place would be as unique as the artwork if they were able to create their own house made sauces and flavors for the food and drinks. It's store bought ranch, BBQ sauce and Talenti syrups disappoint the thought and care of the uniqueness of its atmosphere. I would not come here for food, but maybe a quick coffee if you're in a rush. Wouldn't recommend this place.

This cafe serves up restaurant quality food that was truly impressive. The service was quick and efficient, but the real star of the show is the immersive ambiance. Much like the mini-golf course next door, the space is packed with Mike Bennett's signature artwork and characters. It's a fantastic spot for families, but also a great hangout for friends. Between the food, games, beer, and gift shop, there's something for everyone!
