I ordered them less sweet and felt like it was appropriate because it didn't mask over the umami and astringency notes of the matcha.

Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. A very kind security guard opened the front door for us and greeted us with a very big smile. Inside, the cafe is HUGE! it stretches out towards the back and has fun flyers and posters. Very clean and smells like coffee beans! I tried their rose gold latte and my fiancé asked for their cherry vanilla latte, both seasonal items. It was strong and tasted exactly as described. We ordered a drip in a to-go cup and my partner couldn't stop talking about how great the cup of coffee was. We tried buying a bag of Galaxy Hops co-fermented beans, but unfortunately for us they sold out in both locations. Overall, highly recommend! It was the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. The taste didn't overpower the coffee, which is nice. Their mochi donuts were good, too, with the consistency of mochi dough. Things were a little better in my wife's mocha, which had a deep chocolate flavor and silky smooth milk, it paired well with the cinnamon knot pastry we shared. Maybe a place to stick with the milk drinks, or at least this was my experience on this day.
