Definitely some of the best coffee in the city, the cafe is bright and cozy, and the seasonal drinks are always delicious. I also appreciate that they are open a little later than most cafes in town. Service is always kind and welcoming!

I have heard so much good stuff about them that coming here wasn't a 'shot in the dark' and maybe the start of a brew-tiful connection. I was fortunate to find parking right away and was attended immediately . I ordered a cappuccino and a cookie and decided to stay instead of having it to-go . The vibe is relaxed and easy and there is plenty of light. The staff was kind and fast . The coffee however felt a little lacking , in my humble opinion it felt slightly acidic and not creamy enough for a cappuccino . The cookie was delicious on the other hand . Even though my first experience didn't knock my socks of , I am still looking forward to coming back to experience that espresso magic that I had been hearing about.

I wanted to try a maple macchiato but the drink comes in a smaller size so We tried the maple latte and vanilla latte instead. Both were good. Didn't taste much maple syrup though. Plus point is coffee were sweet enough with a good flavor of coffee still. Not overly sweet. We also got a coffee bean bag to try at home. Only wish they would have a stamp logo brand on their coffee cups. But with this economy everything is so expensive so I understand some places just use simple plain cups. Highly recommend and we would definitely coming back.

Push x Pull is currently ranked 34th on the world's top 100 best coffee shops list, and it's well deserved! They have a decent selection of roasted beans with unique tasting notes and roasting styles. I wanted to try them all, but ended up buying just two bags of beans and a pour over. All of them were great and I'll probably place an order online soon to try the other flavors. The shop itself is a nice size with plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. The staff are nice too!

Push X Pull just made it into my Top 10 Portland coffee shops -- and easily Top 3 in SE PDX. I found this gem thanks to a recommendation from a barista at another spot, and I'm glad I followed the lead. Tucked away in Southeast Portland, Push and Pull nails that balance of great coffee, vibes, and an inviting space. Plenty of street parking, friendly staff, and overall just a really comfortable atmosphere. It was my first visit, but definitely not my last. Give it a try -- I think you'll be glad you did. Thank me later. Seasonal Drink Recommendation: Hot Banana Sesame (regular milk).

Ughhh I cannot say enough good things! I am more than ready to come again any chance I get. First of all I love the clean semi industrial hip retro classroom takeover vibe happening here. Staff is super helpful and clearly have expertise in their craft. We really had come to get some beans as we had had Push x Pull from other farther away cafes. I was beyond with all of the options that they had. In fact, making a choice to try to somewhat limit the amount of bags was a significant challenge. I could have easily brought home the entire row of clear bagged beans. Truly a great selection with incredible tasting notes. Their cafe menu is excellent with the standard options as well as some house specials. My partner got the pour over which was amaziiiiiing. The tonic special that I ordered was wonderful. I can be kind of picky with mixed drinks, as i feel that the added flavors tend to be overpowering. That was not the case here, as I thought that the added flavors did not overshadow the brilliant coffee flavor.

Great little coffee shop with perfectly steamed milk and beautiful latte art . Love that they serve in ceramic cups too. I like the minimal interior design - they have some indoor and outdoor tables but I could see it getting packed pretty easily. I got the Suzy with oat milk ($7.25), and it was delicious! The barista was very friendly as well. Was fairly easy to find street parking. Definitely will stop by again!

This is a pretty cool place located off Stark. We came here before getting breakfast down the street. I tried their Thirst Trap - which was an expresso tonic with a strawberry and lime cordial. The drink was good and had a unique flavor to it. The people working here were friendly and quick to make our drinks.

4.5 experience on my first visit to this coffee house with a super dope name. Push X Pull is located in a what seems to be an "up and coming" area in terms of new businesses and prospects and with such a welcoming nature they're what makes Portland great. I had a cappuccino with, and this was my mistake, almond milk, 99% of the time I order with oat milk. It was still smooth and rich, and beans really coming through. I wish it was just a hint hotter, but it was still great. The space is simple, maybe too simple as the line to order when long will trap you in, not a bad problem to have. Customer service was genuine and welcoming, I can't wait to return and this is easily in my top 20 coffee experiences I've had in Multnomah County.

This coffee shop has a nice set up and atmosphere, but the coffee was bland and flavorless.

We took a last-morning stroll through downtown Portland and, on the walk back to our hotel,…read morerealized we wanted something warm and a short pause. That's how we ended up at Courier Coffee Roasters and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop. The shop itself is small and unassuming, but the moment we walked in it felt inviting and calm. The staff was genuinely wonderful. My partner ordered an Americano and was asked which cup he preferred, two different styles. He asked if they were the same size, and that simple question turned into the most endearing moment. Since the barista didn't know, she checked the bottoms of the cups for size markings (no luck), then filled one with water to see if it would pour evenly into the other, and finally put them on the scale. Verdict: same size. The curiosity and genuine desire to give us a real answer was just lovely. I ordered a hojicha tea, which was very well prepared and hit the spot. My partner said his coffee was smooth and really good. We also grabbed a pear muffin, nicely done, with generous chunks of pear (skin on, which I loved). My partner ordered a chocolate chunk cookie, which disappeared quickly. There was a record player on the counter with a mellow morning album playing, adding to the relaxed feel. The whole space and everyone working there felt warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you live nearby or are visiting like we were, this is a great place to slow down, warm up, and enjoy genuinely good coffee, tea, and hospitality.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

There was plenty of seating available inside and outside on their patio. The service was delightful when taking our drink orders. The raspberry danish latte on their seasonal menu sounded scrumptious but the raspberry and the acidity of the coffee tasted a bit too sweet and tart for our liking. The black sesame matcha latte was also met with disappointment; the matcha tasted more like a steeped green tea with no earthy or umami notes. The black sesame helped deepen the flavor profile but I would not order it again. My friend's iced latte was my favorite out of the drinks that I sampled so perhaps I should order one of their classic coffees next time instead.
