Ginger molasses latte + jam latte
    Daniela P.

The sweestest baristas! I got the ginger molasses latte (hot) and it was delicious. My cousin got the jam latte and it was pretty good as well, def more sweeter than the ginger molasses. The vibes are great. Will be back!

We ordered a jam latte, orange creamsicle signature coffee drink, and a tomato puree/microgreen toast. Everything was fantastic and I would consider both drinks as very special not just good. The toast was really good too with a nice presentation. The coffee shop was really cute and tiny. Not much seating. The staff working was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back again.

Super cute cafe! Located on Mississippi, parking can be a bit difficult to find--I ended up just parking in the neighborhood nearby. The inside of the coffeeshop is cute, and clean but a bit small so it's not good for multiple groups. As it was my friends and I's first time here, the barista was so kind and friendly in giving us recommendations. I ended up trying their peanut brittle latte, which was so unique in that they used actual peanuts in it and the scent was very present. Service was super quick. Overall, a great spot to grab a drink and a small chat with friends. But, due to the limited space it's more of a grab-and-go spot.

Morning walk up the Mississippi corridor. Trying to reach the daily Fitbit goal led to the end of the street at Bastion. Cute spot perfect for a break, table for two outside the storefront to cuddle coffee in the brisk morning. Cute story of two besties whos hobby together turned into a community corner for coffee. Lite bites, neighborhood roast & smiley service makes a good weekend start!

Bastion is a cute small coffee shop! They have the basics of coffee but also a unique variety of specialty lattes that sound delicious! I was visiting Portland for the week and stopped here to try something unique. The barista recommended the cinnamon honey latte and it was great! A little different but not too much. There was four tables inside facing a bench seating area. Also a couple seats in front of the bar area. My friend brought her laptop and there was two plugs on both ends of the tables by the walls only. The seating indoors is competitive if you need to be by an outlet. The playlist was great! I was surprised they had a restroom too since the place is small but it was very simple and cute. Service was quick and watched people get their drinks swiftly. A fun place to try out if you'd like to try a new place with good coffee and a vibe.

We visited Portland from Out of state and honestly I have to say this was some of the best coffee I had on my trip! Very smooth and they substitute milk! I was tempted to try the Jam Latte just for the name and it was very smooth. You can ask for it to be sweetened more if you like but I thought it was perfect. The inside decor and service is 10/10

This is for sure the best latte I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and order the peanut brittle latte, it is just amazing! Service was good, baristas are friendly. The only thing is a really small shop, they have only for tables and people go there to work, so two tables were taken with no chance of being free up soon. We wait like 15 min until a couple left and we could seat inside. After we left some one with a laptop took our table, so I'm pretty sure if you want to get just coffee is difficult to find a spot to sit and enjoy

Paid $3.25 for drip coffee plus a tip.. she filled my thermos half way and then ran out and said ,"oh that's 12oz".. was prolly barely 8oz.. never made another pot of drop while I was there from 11am-12pm.. Maybe a better spot for espresso drinkers but a too cool school attitude for a simple drip coffee.

The drinks were great and the food looked good too! My one recommendation is that if the nice barista asks if you want sweetener in your chai you say yes! They use Soul Chai and while I enjoyed it, it was a bit bitter for my taste (my fault!) The service is great and the barista was super nice. We discussed the cowboy prints on the wall! The ambiance of the shop is great too. The interior seems like a great spot to stop and spend some time working or hanging out.

We took a last-morning stroll through downtown Portland and, on the walk back to our hotel,…read morerealized we wanted something warm and a short pause. That's how we ended up at Courier Coffee Roasters and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop. The shop itself is small and unassuming, but the moment we walked in it felt inviting and calm. The staff was genuinely wonderful. My partner ordered an Americano and was asked which cup he preferred, two different styles. He asked if they were the same size, and that simple question turned into the most endearing moment. Since the barista didn't know, she checked the bottoms of the cups for size markings (no luck), then filled one with water to see if it would pour evenly into the other, and finally put them on the scale. Verdict: same size. The curiosity and genuine desire to give us a real answer was just lovely. I ordered a hojicha tea, which was very well prepared and hit the spot. My partner said his coffee was smooth and really good. We also grabbed a pear muffin, nicely done, with generous chunks of pear (skin on, which I loved). My partner ordered a chocolate chunk cookie, which disappeared quickly. There was a record player on the counter with a mellow morning album playing, adding to the relaxed feel. The whole space and everyone working there felt warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you live nearby or are visiting like we were, this is a great place to slow down, warm up, and enjoy genuinely good coffee, tea, and hospitality.

My kids were particular fascinated by the working record player at the counter. The staff was super nice and even explained to my kids how the record player worked. Got a latte with their Ethiopia natural beans and it was lovely, roasty and bright within being acidic. We were debating between beans to take home and they also let us sample the brewed coffee version of the beans to make a decision, which was super nice. The staff was engaging and attentive, the space industrial feeling and clean and the coffee top notch. Definitely on our must stop lost in Portland!

I have probably spent a couple thousand dollars on their business. Not being able to pour my cup of coffee in a to-go cup when leaving is ridiculous and not standard practice. I found this out the hard way when I had ordered a drip coffee for here and, when leaving, the women kinda snapped at me when I kindly asked for an 8oz to-go cup. I'm on their bi weekly coffee subscription. I'm located in Portland and my bag of beans was routed from Portland to Detroit, then San Francisco then back to my home in Portland on my last order. How odd. I tried reaching out to them to figure out what's going on and there is no way of contacting their business. Their website has no contact information and I called multiple times and no one would pick up the phone. I finally found a personal gmail account linked to their business somewhere on their google business profile but no one ever responded to me. I find it to be very odd that they're running an online business, you can't contact them, and they don't have anyone attending customer service. That's very bad practice. If it weren't for how good the coffee is, PushXPull would be dead last on my preferred coffee shop. I'll update my review once these issues are addressed.

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.
