    Iced Dirty Chai Latte
    Jacques I.

Flag & Wire Coffee is what I hear to be the best, local coffee in the town of McMinnville. Located in the Grain Station in downtown McMinnville, it's worth checking out while in the area. Just expect to spend a pretty penny. My partner and I visited Flag & Wire Coffee on a Sunday morning and the place wasn't too busy, with some customers hanging outside on the patio on a sunny day. They share the space next to a brewery in the Grain Station, so much of the crowd is from that business, but it's quiet enough to do your own thing, including working on a laptop, which I saw some people do here. The menu features all the basics, and they sell their local coffee and some merch in store. I ordered an iced dirty chai latte and my drink was nearly eight bucks! Crazy! They charge $3.50 for a shot of espresso. The coffee was good, but I don't know about it being worth $3.50 per shot, sheesh. Dirty chai latte was solid though. Just don't come here often unless you got them dollarz.

cute coffee shop with great outdoor seating (except during this heat dome the PNW is experience!). Service is friendly and fast. Love the menu board, creative idea in showcasing the various coffee/tea drinks available. Lots of good milk alternatives too ... hemp, coconut, oat, etc. This is also the coffee of choice at the Atticus Hotel too!

Flag & Wire has great coffee! Their service is friendly and they don't take too long. Katie, who works there, is very personable! I definitely recommend this coffee joint!

Great roaster, comfortable coffee shop, and great espresso drinks. I had an espresso and a cortado during my visit, and my friend had a lavender latte that smelled awesome (and she said was great). The espresso was very flavorful--ripe berries and chocolate, and those same flavors came through with some added sweetness in the cortado. They had a great selection of beans available for purchase, and some nice looking pastries that we were too full to try. They also share space with a brewery with good looking and smelling food.

This place is awesome. I only learned of it because our Airbnb had Flag & Wire coffee available for us in the morning and I fell in love after one sip. Fast forward to my visit at the coffeeshop, where I knew I wanted to buy a bag as a souvenir and a nice man came around to help when he saw me perusing. I settled on the benevolence blend and he even ground it for me :) While I was there, I also ordered a latte and it was maybe one of the best I've ever had. I sat outside in their patio area with a book while I enjoyed my drink, and it was very comfortable. If I lived in the area, this would 100% be my go-to coffeeshop. Definitely stop in if you're looking for a great cup of joe, in a nice setting, with friendly service.

The staff here are just the best, they make you feel like family. The coffee is roasted in the back and it is delicious. The menu is pretty basic, but you can't go wrong with a classic cappuccino. I love coming here to study ot meet with friends.

My first egg nog latte of the season!

Always a quality place to stop for coffee in McMinnville. Great pastries, coffee, lattes, and chai. Happy holidays!!

Ask the Community - Flag & Wire Coffee

Is Flag & Wire dog friendly?

Hi Robert! We LOVE our dogs and yours, too. Unfortunately, our county health department isn't as excited. We welcome service animals but otherwise Daisy, (my boxer) has to stay outside.

This is a frequent stop of mine when visiting Tillamook County and I have never been disappointed…read more The Cafe has an excellent assortment of baked goods, or so it appears to the eye. I say this because I tried the almond danish on my first visit and it is so delicately delicious I have never found a need to venture beyond that taste treat. I often get breakfast and then bring the pastry (which is huge) with me to nibble on, and put a smile on my face, all day - & it stays fresh! They have a limited lunch and breakfast menu. However, I find it has significant enough variety that me and my guests have never had a problem finding something to enjoy. I have had breakfast there, never lunch. I find what I have eaten reliably tasty, but it does not rock. For the food I would put it in the low 4 category, pastry an absolute 5. Coffee blows away the chain coffee shops and I find it very tasty, not bitter. They do all the fancy drinks and they execute the one I always get - cappuccino - extremely well. My one bit of advice is to ask for the coffee in a mug if you are having it to stay because otherwise it will be served to you in a paper cup. I find paper cups cramp the froth into a small area and ALSO blocks your nose from getting a good whiff of that awesome coffee smell. Smelling is a huge part of taste - so do not forget the ask - there is no up charge for the real mug. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating with variety in the indoor, ranging from a very large, family style, round table in the middle of the room, to bars at the windows and tables throughout - with plenty of spacing. The outdoor seating is behind the roastery and consists of wooden picnic tables. This is complimented with an extremely unique and , obviously, cared for garden with a variety of flowers and evergreens. Finally, the service. One orders at the counter where my only experience has been one of patience, informative and courteous order takers. You then find a seat or you can wait for your order at the counter. The coffee is prepared immediately and, I have found, the food is prepared efficiently. I have nothing but very positive interactions with staff. Do note that they have a drive up window as well. Located directly across from the Tillamook Creamery: extremely convenient if accessing the Coast thru Tillamook. All in, I would rate Five Rivers about a 4.5 - Enjoy the experience!

Our hot lattes tasted scorched/flat from being frothed for too long. I don't blame the barista…read morethough, as they are just young kids who weren't trained properly. Management needs to do a better job at this. Our friend and I both did not enjoy our hot lattes. The cold versions were ok. For those who collector stickers, it's $3.50 for one. About the same price as an espresso shot. Not worth it for me. Service was friendly from the female cashier. Interior is small but with plenty of seating. The location is right across the street from Tillamook creamery, but there are no crosswalks to get there. Crossing the street is a bit sketch. For a coffee roaster, I expected better quality.
