We had initially planned to to dinner at Casamara but they ended up having room in the upstairs patio so we upgraded to that. Atmosphere is just ok IMO. The view is nothing special so you're paying rooftop prices for kind of meh accommodations. We did get a glimpse of the actual restaurant on our walk to the elevator and the interior was really elegant ... the kind of place I'd love to be at on date night. The biggest disappointment though was the pared down menu. I get it but still. I had the amberjack crudo which was pleasant and the whipped feta which was good but a tad on the runny side. Service was decent .... if a bit distracted. Looking forward to trying the actual restaurant.

It was time to celebrate my good gf engagement and this place had the menu and ambiance just for that. It's cozy, with such tasteful decor--perfect for girls night, date night, or couples night. We both started off with the sun-kissed fizz. Absolutely delicious, absolutely unfortunate that sobriety is priced at $12+ dollars these days. We shared everything! We had the sardine toast and grilled cabbage salad. I could not get down with the sardine itself, and I believe it's because I'm used to eating tinned fish that's smoky or in a sauce so I couldn't get pass the plain, fishy taste. I did nibble on the sourdough bread tho, such a delicious buttery bite. The cabbage salad was incredible! I don't enjoy pomegranate often because of the seed at the end but I could not tell with this dish. Every single component of this salad was perfect, well designed and delicious. We then moved on the the branzino, steak, and potatoes. The branzino? Chef's kiss. Seasoned and cooked perfectly, I wouldn't change a thing. We asked for our steak to be cooked medium well (medical reasons) and they provided us with a very well done serving :( the mushroom and onion jus saved the day and made it edible. Moving on, the roasted potatoes were very tasty--no crispy edges but that didn't matter. Should they switch up their technique to allow such? 10000/10! We ended our meal with the cheesecake and brown butter gelato. Would we order it again? Heck yes! We had such a good time, we plan to return with our beauxs! They are supposed to start doing brunch in March/April too. Can't wait since they have a rooftop! I think our waiter was Missy? But idr, she was did her job pretty well!

My partner and I went to Casamara this evening after work. For appetizers, we tried the Potato & Mozzarella Dumpling and Crispy Calamari. The calamari was amazing, the breading was crisp. The dumplings were something I had never had before, and we really enjoyed them. They were airy, not overly cheesy, and just delightful. For our entrees, we had the Branzino and Wagyu Braised Rigatoni, with a side of Brussels sprouts. The temperature was a little off, but the dishes were still enjoyable. The branzino was light and fresh, and the pasta was hearty and filling. I wish the Brussels sprouts were a bit crispier, but the seasoning and flavors were spot on. Overall, a really enjoyable experience with a few small tweaks that could make it even better.

After having a fantastic dinner experience, I was more than happy to return for their rooftop Sunday brunch. This was a completely different experience and the dichotomy is shocking. I was seated a bit a before our reservation and waiting on my friend, who was running a bit late. I perused the menu and wanted to order an appetizer and a drink. However, a server never came to check on me. Instead, three or four servers walked by, looked in my direction, and kept walking. It wasn't until my 15 minutes after my friend had joined when we asked for service. We were waiting, hoping our server would stop by, but it was not until we asked. We should've left then. Our server was incredibly rude and dismissive. The look on their face was priceless when asked about N/A drinks. We ordered drinks and food at the same time. My friend's mocktail arrived 20 minutes later, my pan con tomate arrived 25 minutes later, and her patatas bravas arrived 30 minutes later. Our server stopped by once to check on us and then we flagged them to get the check. However, the server promptly served their other tables, with one table being seated quite a bit after us, and receiving food and drinks before us. This was an extremely upsetting experience. Our food was good and I wanted to order more, but could not fathom supporting Casamara further. I'm not sure why our server did not ask someone else to serve us, if they had some sort of issue. An email to the restaurant went unanswered.

Casamara was a 10/10. From the warm greeting to the attentive service and amazing food. The restaurant is beautifully designed. It feels warm, cozy, and chic all at the same time. I'll definitely be back! Côte d'Amour $16 - 5/5 if you love gin and elderflower, this light refreshing yet strong drink is for you! I'd go by the bar for one of these just because! Crab $24 - 5/5 very light and flavorful dish! It was recommended that we stuff the crab in the bread like a sandwich. Yummy! Potato & Mozzarella Dumpling $16 - 4/5 this was a nice well rounded dish. The mozzarella and potato melt in your mouth. Truffle Bucatini Cacio e Pepe $24 - 5/6 some of the best e Pepe I've ever had. Get this dish! Confit Lamb Shoulder $42 - 5/5 so yummy. The combo of flavors work well with the lamb. Harissa Roast Chicken $38 - 5/5 the chicken was the star of the show. You would literally cut it with a fork. Very juicy and moist! Fennel & Heirloom Beans $15 -3/5 nice flavor but the beans were undercooked. This side dish was not a recommendation by our server. Go with the potatoes!

I had a great time at Casamara! Amazing space, great service and good food that you have to try. Casamara is a beautiful restaurant that's perfect for dinner with friends, a date night or a late night happy hour. It has a upscale modern vibe but is also cozy, warm and welcoming. There is plenty of space for dining whether you want to make reservations or have dinner at the bar. We went during the week around 6pm and it wasn't a lot of people there at first but it filled up quickly as the evening moved on. Our server was very warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us great suggestions from the menu that were very helpful. The food was really good! The truffle bucatini cacio e pepe was delicious with plenty of flavor and the harissa roasted chicken had sooooooo much flavor and was cooked to perfection. I also really enjoyed the potato and mozzarella dumpling. It was great way to kick off the meal and you really can't go wrong with potatoes and cheese. We also had the confit lamb shoulder and the fennel and heirloom beans. The lamb shoulder was pretty good but the beans weren't for me. The service, the food and the ambiance at Casamara were great. I will definitely return to try more items on the menu and would highly recommend to others.

Casamara absolutely deserves 5 stars. The service is warm and genuine -- true hospitality. The space is beautiful, and the food and drinks are just as good. I'm a simple girl: if I see branzino, I order it. This one is excellent, and the potatoes with it are divine. The crab dish is a must. The otoro & melon was another standout. Great cocktails (I'm partial to Donatello's Kiss) and a solid wine list. I'll have to try dessert next time...and don't miss the rooftop!

Went to Casamara on NYE and experienced their fixed price tasting menu. It was amazing! The service was great (despite some issues due to the crowd), the ambience was very classy and the food was phenomenal. I'd love to go back and try their regular menu.

Casamara is a see and be seen spot, and I'm here for it. It's in a hotel but honestly you can't really tell, the restaurant is such a vibe. I love the bar concepts on the property too. Reynolds is swanky, sleek and serves great cocktails. I'll have to check out Casamara's rooftop, which is open on weekends. Dinner service was a bit slow and our waiter was hard to find at times. The food came pretty quickly though and everything was delicious. The bacon wrapped dates and focaccia are must haves for the table. The potato dumplings were a super unique dish that we enjoyed but had room for improvement. The apple tart was a satisfying way to end the meal & I'll be back to try more sweets and savory dishes. Great spot for a nice date night!

I went for a birthday celebration with a friend and Casamara did not disappoint...from the ambience, to the impeccable service, beautiful decor and delicious food. We started with a bottle of Billecart-Salmon, which already impressed me as most restaurants do not carry. It's one of my favs. Appetizers: homemade focaccia, Grilled cabbage salad and crispy artichokes. Highly recommend all. I do have a yogurt intolerance so they accommodated us by putting the dressing in the side. Wish they had just tahini as an option but was fine with just lemon juice. Other reviewers raved about the octopus pasta but both the pasta and entree were sold out so couldn't try it. Main: lamb rotolo - think of a pinwheel. Delicious - just wish it had a dollop of ricotta in the side in addition to what they put on top. The one piece on the bottom didn't have any ricotta. Dessert: the lemon tart & strawberry rhubarb sorbet were the perfect, refreshing combo! Service: luxury service - would give 5-stars. Glasses were never empty, finished plates cleared quickly - couldn't have asked for a better experience! Afterwards we went to Reynold's for a few more cocktails - it's located in the back of the hotel. Great place for a drink before or after.

We tried this new spot on an early Tuesday evening. It was very easy to get reservations, but we probably could have walked in. The space is gorgeous. You cannot recognize it from the previous tenant. The food was delicious. We got the gnocchi with morel mushrooms and the lamb rotolo pasta. Both were really good. We split the Basque cheesecake which was very large and delicious. The cocktails are super creative. They also have mocktails. My friend wanted one of the mocktails which they were out of, but the bartender made something off menu for her and she was very happy. I will definitely be back. I'm excited for brunch and when the rooftop space in the hotel opens.

Casamara has only been open two weeks and it's crushing the game--I would come back soon. The only thing that could make it better is if they had a happy hour menu (even bar only) for the after work crowd in the area. The appetizer menu is stacked, and I basically wanted to try them all. Our server recommended several, and we went with the stuffed dates, which were delicious. I mean, how can you go wrong with dates, cheese, bacon, and maple? With a six-piece portion size, it was perfect for splitting. But the star of the show, and what I will 100% come back for, is the Octopus Casarecce pasta. On first bite, I knew it was a winner, and immediately inhaled my dish. It was so, so good and I know I will order it again. A bit spicy in a good way! And a fair (neither overly small or large) portion. This dish alone merits a 5 star review in my book. I was the least impressed by dessert. I ordered the chocolate mousse and it was fine, even good, but not something I feel the need to order again, especially with how full I was after the pasta. I would also say I didn't love the their spin on espresso martini (from the dessert menu) as it tasted like straight espresso without any balance or nuance to the flavor. It was so coffee-forward, I didn't finish mine--and I never leave food or drink behind! However, my other drink, the Côte d'Amour, and my friend's drink, the Acqua Verde, were both delicious and I would order them again. The service was great, with two servers tag teaming to provide clean silverware, napkin folds, water refills, and food recommendations at the caliber of a luxury restaurant. I hope the service stays top tier when they get busier and have been open longer. My only complaint on the service would be that the server recommended we get three appetizers for two people which just seemed absurd and possibly like an upsell. We were only two people--how could we possibly eat 1.5 appetizers and an entree each? This isn't tapas... made for an awkward start when we only ordered one, and I genuinely could not have consumed more. The small room is also beautiful, with a gorgeous bar as the centerpiece. Shortly into dining (on a Wednesday) the lights were turned down and the bass turned up, which was an interesting choice that may have been more appropriate for a weekend. But the vibes were good and it would make a good date or girls night spot.

The Spanish cheese (Mahón) along with the crackers and mustard sauce was superb. All the meats had their own characteristics and unique flavors but the jamón stood out to us the most. It even went well with the sauce that came for our cauliflower dish. It was fun piecing the components together to make unique tasty bites. I would come back just for the charcuterie alone. The drinks we got were Angelli's Ferrari along with the espresso martini-ish. My favorite was definitely the Ferrari one, but the espresso martini was super mild and had a slight coffee flavor. Good for people who like very light coffee. The Ferrari one was very bright and had lots of fruity notes to hide the alcohol. For entrées, we had the shakshouka, crispy, cauliflower, and brunch pork belly. Out of all these the cauliflower was definitely my favorite; super light with good earthy flavors and nuttiness and acidity from the lemon. The brunch pork belly was good too. The meat was perfectly cooked, but I found the beans to be a little bit overwhelming. I'm not a fan of baked beans personally so that might've been my fault for picking the dish, but I still did enjoy it and the pork that was well cooked made up for it; definitely for someone who likes beans. Shakshouka was very hearty with a lot of tomatoes and red vegetables in general. If you like lasagna or any sort of tomato spaghetti dish, you will like this one. I found this to be a bit much though. I was slightly tired of the flavor at the end. Just be aware it is a bit spicy. We had a pear tart for dessert. Honestly, it reminded me of an apple pie and it was good, but I think that some of the other desserts would've been a bit better. Had a lot of sweet cinnamon notes along some crispy flaky dough from the outside. It was an interesting take but it was still good. The atmosphere is great here; we had seating on the second floor, so it was different from the busy first floor. Very relaxed and there's a lot of natural light coming around which made everything feel very welcoming. Our server was also super friendly. I will definitely be back at this place

The food is nothing but genius--fantastic concepts like their roasted carrots, soft, spicy outer textures with a simultaneously solid and rich core. Their hummus is delectable and thick, offering an appreciated simplistic flavor paired with everything served. Their nutty, sweet, warm halloumi, mezze tasting (various pickled veggies offering a cool addition and sometimes a kick), ribeye steak & chicken souvlaki blew me away. The steak was as good as it was last time (9.9/10), and the chicken souvlaki was soft, cooked to perfection served with a zingy garnish of pickled onions. For dessert, their chocolate spiced mousse was a run-of-the-mill chocolate mousse. It was good, but I wasn't getting much of the spice. The service at our time there has a funny backstory--reservations were accidentally made at their sister restaurant, Medina. However, due to it being a special occasion, George (shoutout) managed to find us a perfect seat on the second level, overlooking the inner workings of the exposed aesthetic of the restaurant. The ambiance was calm, smooth, dim-lit, and encompassed a primal, eclectic atmosphere at the same time. The appetizer was dropped on my lap as the waitress cleared the plate. She didn't seem to care and said "slippery little things". $300 worth of food was delivered and not once were we asked how the food quality was. The problem is the $75 flat iron steak we ordered as medium came out as rare and was to the point it was hard to cut it was so chewy. Spoke to manager about the situation and his care meter seemed to be broken. It's a shame because ambiance and environment is great. The service was not.
