Fan. Frigging. Tastic. I was happy to see a place had opened in the empty spot in the Marriot Courtyard. I was even happier to eat and drink and find out their food is absolutely fantastic. Clearly it's a nice family run business with a beautiful decor. I have had the Tacos el Carbon and Tacos Birria so far. Both perfectly prepared dishes. Great service at the bar from Leo. Huge tequila selection. I'm totally stoked to have some other fantastic Mexican food options in the area! Will be back. I recommend the margaritas as well! Not to sweet, just perfect. read more

We stopped in to help celebrate my birthday. The food was good, but the service was not very good at all. When we ran out of chips and dip, the waitress walked by a couple times and did not offer to refill either the chips or salsa. We were then charged for the refills of the chips and salsa. There was a deranged man at the bar who was cussing out everyone around him and in addition to that he had relieved himself in his pants and the staff did nothing about it. In addition to that I walked in, me and my girlfriend asked if the margaritas were apart of the happy hour deal where it was buy one get one free and the server behind the bar said yes. We ask for our tab and we get it back and it's 56$ double what it should be and I ask the bartender why didn't the buy one get one free deal apply and he said that it was because the deal only applies per person and I said that was not conveyed to us when we ordered so he asked the initial server what he said to us but that entire conversation happened in Spanish so we didn't have a chance to explain anything further and where just stuck with double the check we expected. Side note we asked for waters and didn't get any. I am not one to leave reviews but this is probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. Stay away from this place 2025+ because the other reviews will tell you the same. read more

Bartender ignored us. Walked by us and didn't ask to refill waters or another beer. There were three employees standing at the end of the bar eating grapes and pitting their hands in their mouth. Casa Tequilas is one of my favorite spots when in Denver. They have one of the most extensive tequila collections I have ever seen. The staff is very friendly, have a high sense of urgency and make you feel like family. The food is top notch and the authentic Mexican ambiance adds to the experience. The bartenders are extremely knowledgable about tequila and were more than happy to educate guests even during a busy dinner rush. read more

Had dinner with my family here. Super large menu with a ton of options. I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were very tasty. My family members had the steak fajita's which I was told were very yummy as well. Convenient, walkable location as well if you live downtown. Good service and also have a discount for military which is very very nice (they do check id so don't be a liar!). Overall good mexican food for Denver which is hard to find, my family and I are all from Arizona and it was tasty & authentic, and good portions. I have been here about 5 times. I ordered the tequila bowl, which I have had before with the prawns. It was delicious. So I ordered the chicken bowl with great anticipation. It came and the chicken was flatten and just was GROSS. I sent it back and the manager came out and was a real asshole. He kept contradicting me and basically saying it wasn't what I said and that I was wrong. So this will be the LAST time I come here and I'm writing this WHILE I'm still here. read more

We were immediately seated and the food came really quickly, massive upsides given the circumstances. The ambiance is okay, but we were seated in a kind of dark area at the back and it might be better towards the front of the house. My husband and I stopped in for a Valentine's Dinner last night. While the food was fine, and our waitress was friendly, there were a few issues to note. We were offered water, said yes, and then it never came. When my beer "volcanoed" after I put my lime in, the waitress said she would bring us some napkins to wipe it up, and those never came. As in, we spent the whole dinner with one of our napkins covering the spill. Then came the "extra charges", none of which were mentioned up front. My husband ordered guacamole, which we did not understand did not come with chips. So we asked for more, and we were charged extra. When the guac came, it was a little more than a spoonful (see the picture) for $6.99 ... and it was bland. I ordered tacos, and when I asked for a couple lime wedges and sour cream (I had figured these would come with my tacos for $20), they brought some and charged us extra for both. Finally, we ordered churros for dessert. They were brought in a to-go box (odd), and when we opened them in the car, they hadn't been rolled in cinnamon and sugar. We understand if things will be extra, but tell guests up front if there will be a charge. Overall, a mediocre dinner. Took a picture of my bill because we are still in disbelief at all the charges. read more

Ordered the Mexican Flag. Came out cold. Sent it back. Brought same plate heated on the microwave. Asked for another pickeled salsa...but they neglected the first one was free and the 2nd was $4. Asked to speak to manager and stated our concern. He proceeded to make every excuse included saying its on the menu for additional salsa charge". The manager was a total disappointment. Food was not even mediocre. We had an absolutely amazing experience here! We stumbled upon Casa Tequilas after looking for a place to grab a drink after walking around 16th street. We sat at the bar, and had several flavored margaritas, which were made with fresh fruit and were delicious. The bartender offered to let us try different rim options, which we really appreciated, as there were several options we hadn't tried before. The owner Leo stopped by and talked to us, and he was very knowledgeable on the extensive tequila options, even knowing about which ones go best with each drink and which should be drank out of specific glasses - it reminded me of a tasting from esteemed vineyards! We didn't have a meal since we only stopped in for drinks, but we did nibble on chips and salsa, and their house recipe cabbage, which was incredible. Overall, we had such and enjoyable and memorable experience, and definitely plan to come back on our next trip into town! read more

Downright disappointing. The only thing worse than the food was the service. My coworkers and I were excited to try a new establishment and had high hopes for this place. The food was not fresh, the salsa was "meh", and the green chili was bland. They finally did get my coworkers order right on the 3rd attempt. Never received water refills even after asking for them.....simple stuff they got wrong. We will not be returning. read more

Amazing. The Staff is wonderful Friendly and helpful. Mojitos are the best I ever had in the States. Food portions are large, and the flavors are amazing.
