Happy hour menu
Peter C.

As a live long fan of TexMex from south Texas, I appreciate a good down to earth restaurant that serves proper TexMex. We had some business in Conroe and we noticed this restaurant nearby and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is older but very clean and the staff were welcoming with a smile and seated us right away. The tables and chairs are retro, cushions worn but the patrons have smiles on their faces and all these things are a great sign of home style food. I loved the waitress who served us promptly and was very diligent about making sure our iced tea stayed in supply. Both green and red salsa with chips of good quality were placed on our table and our order soon followed. I had the lunch portion of beef enchiladas with rice and beans. My wife had the lunch beef Casadilla. Both were delicious and were of very good value for the price! Filling and satisfying. I look forward to my next visit and to sample the happy hour drinks!

Sad very small lunch fajitas for 18.50!!

I really only come here when I want their chips and green sauce. Their food and drinks are good.

Only complaint the green sauce seems a little wattered down losing some of the flavor.

We decided to check for open seats at the bar and that was full too. However, there are a few small "open" seating near the bar first come first serve for full service. Fortunately, we only waited about 15 minutes and were able to grab a table. The downside is the table is pretty small so by the time you have drinks and your food there is very minimal space. Be prepared to be overcrowded with people standing by the bar. Overall, service was good considering how busy it was. Shelby was our server and she was attentive and apologetic about the food taking awhile, which was understandable since they were busy. The food was just mediocre. I've been to different locations and this one was just okay. I was surprised that the micheladas weren't ridiculously expensive compared to El Tiempo or Ninfa's. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and they were okay nothing to brag about. My husband ordered the chipotle Chicken Fajita Tacos and they were okay nothing great about them. We also ordered the Beef Fajita Nachos and they were horrible. The cheese and chips were dry and soggy, the beef dry and overcooked. The presentation wasn't appealing either. The ceviche was good, but tasted slightly fishy. We only came here because there wasn't an El Tiempo or Ninfa's around here.
