Really good queso blanco. I normally am not a fan of white queso but this place does it well. You can also ask for a small cup of queso for $1.75 which isn't on the menu and is a perfect size for one person. My wife and I split chalupas and quesadillas which were okay (not great). The salsa was too overpowering with spices for my tastes. read more

Casa Mama - Yummy - Mexican Near Me - Plano, Texas

Hooked on the Dallas location, both food & drinks. Recently moved to Lucas, so will be regulars at Plano with manager, Adrian, on Thursdays. Happy Hour margaritas! read more

If I could rate this restaurant 10 stars, I would! I love the food here and the queso is beyond amazing. The customer service is also top notch. I always recommend this place to everyone. The best in DFW area!! read more

Pretty good....veggie tamales are really good. Ask for no cheese and ranchera sauce to make it vegan

Casa Mama is at top with the best of the best with Mexican food. They have an awesome chip appetizer with every meal which my son loves. They also have unlimited chips and salsa, that are better than any other place I've been to. Also, to top off the great food the prices are very reasonable and the portions are perfect. The top dishes to me would be the quesadillas (whichever flavor) and tex-mex platter. read more

upon recommendation, had the hamburger this time...I know, hamburger at a mexican restaurant, what am I thinking...It had a great grill flavor and I topped it with Mole sauce to make it even better! They continue to keep me happy! read more

I love this place!! Great service, and FANTASTIC Margaritas! We've loved anything we've tried here. Some of the standouts are the items that aren't the typical Tex-Mex fare, like the Mexican Lasagna (think King Ranch Casserole that someone else took the time to make). The chicken enchilada with the tomatillo sauce is also great and a lighter fare than the standard sour cream chicken enchilada. My son is a big fan of the brisket tacos and brisket quesadillas. The waitstaff is fun & accommodating and they are always quick to make menu suggestions. The best thing of all is it's just around the corner! I hope this place is here to stay! Try it, you won't be sorry.... read more

This was my 2ND time at this location. Great service and food! I live 44 miles away, this restaurant is my treat when I'm in the area. I decided to try something different the Pollo Relleno, AWESOME! It was not a heavy dish and very tantalizing to the tongue. Exceptional staff from the moment you walk through the doors. I will return next time I am that way. read more

This place is great. I had Manuel's enchiladas (beef enchilada with chili, cheese enchilada with chili, and sour cream chicken enchilada) and my SO had a chili relleno. Everything was great. We also had tres leches and theirs is one of the best tres leches I've had ever had. My SO had a couple house margs that she enjoyed because they were reasonably priced. My only complaint was that the iced tea didn't taste fresh. Other than that, we were both very satisfied and we'll be back. read more

This is an amazing neighborhood Mexican spot! The owners and employees are mostly Mexican and are very friendly. The regional dishes are delicious! I love the chicken fajitas and the tamales. If you're a spice lover ALWAYS ask for the habanero salsa. It's on point with delicious citrus undertones and spicy as hell! read more

I moved to Plano six months ago, and Casa Mama quickly became my go-to Mexican food spot. My husband and I come here at least weekly, and our favorites include the Mama's Salad with Salmom, the Chipotle Enchiladas, and the brisket tacos. We also love the Chari's Skillet on the brunch menu. The atmosphere is laid back, and the servers are always energetic, humorous, and upbeat. It's hard to beat an outstanding Tex-Mex joint with reasonable prices and Pacifico on draft! read more

Delicious! The chips are warm and crispy, and the brisket enchiladas are outstanding, although a bit on the hotter side; I burned my tongue. Nonetheless, excellent food and the wait staff is on top of things. Will be back again! read more

Good food, brisket was a little too salty, but Guiso Pork was awesome! We gave 2 stars for the service, the server needs to work on hospitality and salesmanship. read more

We're visiting from California and decided to try this place based on yelp reviews. I got the cheese enchiladas with chili sauce and my fiancée got the burrito ranchero. I loved my meal, although the rice was bland. The burrito ranchero with fries was average, nothing special. Customer service was great. Price point was accurate. The green apple margarita was nice and sour. I would come back here. read more

We came in here because we were told it was the reincarnation of what Amigos once was. The service, food, decor, cleanliness etc. were spot on. Every item we tried was full of freshness and flavor! Definitely make a stop in East Plano for Casa Mama read more

I love coming here! Great food and drinks and amazing prices! The chorizo queso, the sour cream chicken enchiladas, the margaritas! It's all wonderful! read more

I had the Mexican lasagna and my wife had the chili relleno with brisket. The food was really good. What was so disappointing was the level of service. It bordered on almost rude. I realize it's during the time of covid-19, but not any type of acknowledgement. Drinks were not refilled promptly . And once the food was delivered no one ever came back to check and see was everything okay. Literally just no personality at this restaurant. Just want food and you don't care about much else this is your place. Maybe just get it delivered or to go.... read more

From the time we walked in asking for a table of 14 the gentlemen helping us who turned out to be the owner was very accommodating great customer service even though they were very busy. We waited only a few minutes and by the time our complete party arrived our table was ready. The drinks and chips were flowing and the food was delicious, being from San Antonio I'm very critical of Mexican food north of Austin but their fajitas and posole was delicious. I'd definitely be back. read more

Awesome food and people. The Manager Miguel made us feel like we were the only ones there will definitely be back.

This was catered before, and the enchiladas are great. I also love the queso which is rich in flavor. We came during happy hour after work and the drinks were nice and strong for around $5 a drink. We got the premium margaritas and only ordered one. I'd come back to try more of the food, the service is pretty decent. The only issue I had was with pricing confusion. read more

We live in Iowa but have family in the Dallas area and every time we come back to Texas, we eat at Casa Mama at least twice. It's so good, the service is spectacular, therefore it's our go-to place for Mexican. I can't say enough great things about Casa Mama! Favorite entrees - brisket enchiladas and lasagna. SO yummy! read more

Thus far one of my favorite Mexican restaurant. Service was quick for the work lunch hour, without feeling rush. Their chips were thick and crunchy, the table salsa was thick with a truly flavorful spice. I ordered their Green chili verde enchiladas with chicken. The sauce was a little to mellow for my palette but the textures of the tortillas were firm and tasty. Of course I ordered my favorite dessert, Flan. They took pride on their dishes decorating it with cinnamon designs, giving it a nice flair. My servicer showed enjoyment in serving and returned frequently without imposing. They truly do deserve a 5 star but they do not serve Aguas Frescas like Horchata (Rice Water) which would have put me over the time. Decorations, music are at a pleasant esthetic. This Mexican will definitely be returning. read more

Great service! Great food! And fun atmosphere! I've been twice and once was ordering take out! They were pretty fast and offered me a free beverage while waiting! Being a Mexican food lover this was quit a change for me. The food is very different but also fantastic. The owners are very friendly and all of the staff are right on the spot if needed. I have a family of 7 and have always been cared for like a party of 2. , my children are always given great attention. The queso blanco is the absuolute bomb!!!! Highly Reccomend!!!! read more

The staff are so friendly here. We order food for pick up all the time. They are always careful to get our order correct, and the few times (maybe twice out of 35 orders) that they've messed anything up/taken longer than usual to get the order ready, they've always caught before we've left and offered us things like free desert. The food is great, but what we really appreciate is the great atmosphere and excellent customer service. read more

Wonderful service by people who care about the food and drinks they serve. I suggest their patio outside. Very relaxing with great food. We really enjoyed the fajita tacos and they took special care to put anything that might be spicy on the side for our 3 year old daughter. She loved the queso, rice and quesadillas. It was a nice surprise from a strip mall restaurant. We will be back for sure. read more

The food here is very good but the service leaves much to be desired at this location. We were a party of 6 and came by on a Sunday at noon. Our waiter barely came by, our chips and salsa were not as frequently refilled as I would have liked...so I'm knocking off a star. I probably wouldn't be back to this location as the one off Preston has much better service. read more

I love casa mama but there is only one problem; when I was eating there beans it was crunchy a bit. Usually their beans are soft but not today! Rather than that everything is best, I call this the best Mexican restaurant ever! Also (P.S there flan is the best!). Sincerely, Brynnley read more
