All o can say is yummmy !!!!! Came in for lunch with the hubby at noon yesterday Our waitress was very nice & food was delicious and came out super fast We don't live here in Texas but for all that live in this area definitely recommend From the fresh handmade complimentary tortilla chips to the chicken tortilla soup everything was so good

I went here for the first time last night. The space is open and airy. We were sat quickly. Menu looked so good. It was hard to order. I got the queso sand quesadillas. Delicious!! The food was brought to our table very quickly. Our server could not have been nicer. This is a great neighborhood spot. Will be back with friends!!

Kids meal- ham and cheese burrito. Very small portion. I'd give a 3 out of 10

Packed on a Sunday, the salsa is not really for me a tad too much lime and not much heat/ peppers. I judge a Tex mex by their salsa/ bean dip. Tried the tortilla soup sin chicken and it was nice and cheesy, they give you a whole half of an avocado which won them the 4 stars here. Service is great .

This is my favorite place for Mexican food. The food is great, outside seating and locally owned.

No doubt, this is the best salsa I've ever had! Authentic food, and charming patio. Doesn't look like much but the place is fantastic.

My favorite Tex-mex spot in DFW! I feel like it is a hidden gem. The food is always so good. The queso is spicy and delicious!

The restaurant is run super efficiently, but it is also very popular. This was our first time here, so it was surprising that it took longer to get our table than it did to get drinks, order, and get food. The salsa is excellent. Not mushy cooked salsa, it is thin with pieces of onion, cilantro, etc.... We loved the flavor, but there's definitely plenty of onion. Husband ordered a frozen margarita which he said was "limey and lush" with the perfect amount of salt. On our Deluxe Carne Asada and Carnitas plates, the meat was the star of the show. Beans, tortillas, rice, guac, cheese enchilada, and pico were all good, but the pork and beef were excellent. The marinade used on the carnitas left bright citrus hues. The asada was tender. The sopapilla was the most buttery tasting sopapilla I've ever had. The custom tables and chairs reflect the pride taken in having a nice space. The mural on the dining room wall is a lovely, bright focal point.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

I ordered the nachos with carne asada. They came on a huge platter with dollops of guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo in the middle. The carne asada was diced small and cooked to perfection...crispy outside and tender inside with not a bit of fat or gristle. They were so good I couldn't stop! Every order is served on a little tray with chopped onion and cilantro on the side along with a little cup of charro beans. I've had the trompo (al pastor), barbacoa, and carne asada, and they were all incredible and VERY generous on the meat. Elote was decent and (as a fun fact) they have a self serve sauce and cheeto/takis dust area that you can top it off with. The restaurant is directly connected to a dessert shop with an expansive dessert menu and freezers full of $1.50 paletas (I suggest the rice flavor - kind of like a horchata on a stick).

My husband and I visited for dinner on a Friday night and it was pretty packed! The carne asada taco was good but I personally always prefer trompo / al pastor, and the volcanes was interesting to try. Unfortunately, the chicken taco was very bland and flavorless. Furthermore, the other thing that makes me hesitate to return is the fact that there was quite a bit of fat on the meat in the tacos, which made it more difficult to fully enjoy.
