I go here often lol. Really great food and the service is always on point. The wait is always quicker than what they tell you and the place and be packed and you will still get great service. The staff really works as a team. I always get the seafood enchiladas and add two steak enchiladas. read more

After happy hour the few headed here based on friends recommendation. I was always curious about it so excited to try. Sat on the patio and a nice evening. Servers were friendly and attentive. I would say the margaritas were average as was my food. The seafood shrimp enchiladas (2) were essentially a tortilla wrapped around a cheese stick with a hint of sauce and only four shrimp. Based on other restaurants I expected a creamy enchilada with more shrimp in the enchilada. Seems like a neighborhood favorite and I always encourage you to try. read more

Watch your wallet! Wanted to order off the lunch menu. I had to scan a code from their regular menu to see the special lunch menu. When I ordered, I was told the prices were not right on their scanned menu by $2.00 I agreed to pay the difference because I was already there. When I paid the bill with cash, they shortchanged me and said they have some rounding policy. I insisted on getting the correct change. No one there cared to make things right. It didn't matter if the food was good or not when you feel like someone is taking advantage of you. read more

I have yet to have food that really wowed me here. The drinks are good but that's pretty much it. Some of the food I have gotten really tastes microwaved and for me, that's enough to make me not want to come back. I've had stale chips. My go tos are usually a chili relleno or enchilada and the chili relleno was so soft and soggy it was inedible. The enchiladas that I got, the tortilla was tough. read more

Let me start with the restaurant was very nice, and clean. I love the patio area. I wish I could say the same about the service. The guy that greeted us at the host stand didn't have a clue. There were three people(all the same group) in front of us. He disappeared and came back a little while later. All the while people were backing up at the front door. While sitting at our table I noticed several wait people just standing around talking to each other. THEY NEED A MANAGER TO TAKE CHARGE. The food was pretty good. The queso was bland, but not aweful. $21.50 for Fajitas was expensive for what you got. I asked for a few more tortillas, and they brought me some(3) old ones that were reheated. I could tell because they were very chrispy on one side from the grill, then they charged me $1.25 for them,"Old Tortillas!" I had high hopes for this place. read more

I like this place. Good food, nice patio. Used to really like the taco salad. It was lacking on my previous visit but I thought I'd give it another try. Nope. Lots of lettuce and cabbage, scoop of sour cream, scoop of guacamole, in an overcooked shell. Used to have a good amount of meat and beans on the bottom. Now there's very little. Not hard to fix, please do! read more

Another great meal and excellent service from very personable staff. Served surprisingly quick and a very nice presentation.

Mitchel is the BEST! Best food and service! Truly takes care of us 2-3 times a week!!

Margaritas are fire every time I go. The ambiance at the bar is nice and chill, too, with TVs playing sports and kind of reminds me of being in Mexico. I love to stop here to reward myself after going to Kroger read more

Good vibe, food is "good" but nothing wow! But a great Mexican neighborhood restaurant. We typically get the steak fajitas and the margaritas. Margaritas are strong, fajitas are good. We will be back because it's easy. However, on weekends they do get a bit busy so there might be a wait time. read more

Packed on a Sunday, the salsa is not really for me a tad too much lime and not much heat/ peppers. I judge a Tex mex by their salsa/ bean dip. Tried the tortilla soup sin chicken and it was nice and cheesy, they give you a whole half of an avocado which won them the 4 stars here. Service is great . read more

We love this place! It is our local "go-to" Tex-Mex restaurant. Along with the quality of the food, our server (Mitchel) is always amazing. Whether he is making new recommendations or proactively bringing items we always order, Mitchel is "the guy". His hospitality is a big part of reason we continue to frequent this restaurant. read more

Mitchel is the best! Ask for him by name! We love this place, the food and Mitchel!

We love Casa Mama! Great food and even better service! We come in three times a week. Mitchel is THE BEST!!! Ask for him!

Very busy. Great salsa. Very good house margs. Had brisket quesadilla. Very good. I love guiso and try it every where. Everyone has their own recipe for this "stew". Theirs is more of a soup with small pieces of pork and enough sodium allotment for an entire week. Not a fan. Tortillas were very good though. If it weren't for the guiso, I'd give a higher rating. Would go back again though for some of the other items. l read more

We were regulars at the Plano location for quite some time until they closed and moved along. We have come to the los Rios location twice now. My friend and I both ordered the carne asadas a couple of draft beers. After my friend drank her beer about halfway she found a fly in it. We really didn't have a waiter because every time we needed something we'd have to flag somebody down so there's three people that were kind of servicing us. The older guy (waiter) had no personality no friendliness no nothing. When we brought the problem with the beer to his attention, he took it away and when he brought back a new beer, it was in a very small glass I presume because she had drank some of it. It was not a full glass like we had ordered at first. Talk about insulting. I would gladly have paid for a brand new beer and really what does a little bit more of a draft beer cost....nothing. And worst part was we had to flight more bugs in our beers and food the rest of the evening. No one was friendly at the service level. Nobody thanked us for our business, and I brought this to the managers attention and all he would do is nod. No apology. Nobody asked us about how our dinner was or if we needed anything else. Very disappointing in the service and for that reason, I doubt we will be back because it's quite a bit farther drive and there's a lot of Mexican restaurants between our home and this place. read more

Good interior mex food, great service, really casual. My mother loved this place and we both loved our meals.

The chips were stale, food was cold, and the coke was flat. Don't get me started on the flour based cheese dip aka "Their famous queso." Sincerely: B&M undercover food critics read more

Was very Mexican, the famous and award wining queso tasted delicious. Dipping a chip in their queso or salsa is delicious. I personally got 2 crispy tacos and rices and beans. They also tasted splendid. The Atmosphere looked really Mexican and authentic, the Christmas lights and the disco lights made it standout like the restaurant wasn't just a place to make money but your friend. Service was also good. Overall, amazing restaurant, delicious food, Beautiful atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Tons of seating but try to rsvp Bc this place is always packed! Full bar & outdoor dining as well. This is one of my favorite Tex mex places. It has a small family restaurant feel yet superior service. The salsa and chips is soooo addicting. The bar makes awesome drinks and they come out fast. I love their specials like the pozole and my favorite is the tilapia fish w shrimp. Sometimes I get the salmon (pictured) No matter how busy this place gets, I never had an issue w service since most of staff are seasoned and turn over doesn't seem to be high here. Great for gatherings, dates etc. Highly recommend! read more

Casa Mama OG is the best. Just the best. I love their taco salad - different than anything you'll get at a typical Tex-Mex place. (Of course the chips and salsa are yummy as you'd expect.) Service is pleasant and fast; it feels like family. But honestly the star of the show here is the patio. It's perfect for enjoying a leisurely lunch and drinks with friends. read more

Same delicious and tasty food . The service Is horrendous or maybe it's that I keep getting the worst waiter in the place. I don't know why. He doesn't pay any attention to me or my meal. I get some service from the other waiters, but he is always glad to roll up with the bill and looks at the tip ( I don't skimp) and usually snaps it shut and walks away. Been coming here for 2+ years- weekly. Today is the last time. read more

The best local TexMex in the neighborhood. I could go on for quite a bit, been going there since they opened well before Covid. I'd also like to repeatwhat Leslie T said: "This restaurant is the best bar none to any other Mexican food restaurant that I've ever eaten at. Stopped in to check out the place! Heard they had some interesting margarita flavors, I am always on board with that!! We were greeted the minute we walked, sat at a booth, and waited on immediately, the chips and salsa arrived pretty quickly too. Husband ordered a michelada, I chose a spicy pineapple margarita. He said the michelada was a pretty good one, my margarita was fantastic. I did switch out Hornitos (not a fan) for El Jimador - happy to report my drink had some "kick" to it and it was all I had hoped for. And back to the salsa - spicy, fresh and fantastic. Our entrees were good. He had a chile relleno with beans and rice, I had the Adrian plate - jack cheese in a queso covered enchilada covered with beef fajitas and veg, also with beans and rice. Our food came out nice and hot, everything was delicious and the price was on point. Husband later had a paloma with mezcal, it was good too! Place was also clean and comfortable. I'm ready to go back and try more flavors of margaritas and other dishes. read more

Seriously what the hell. Paid $16 for garbage. I used to love this place. They gave me a huge bag of chips with a third a ramekin of salsa so I was not able to enjoy the chips. The Pollo relleno was half the size it used to be and was just a step above prison food. The garlic bread had no garlic and was completely soft and not toasted. Seriously I won't be back. The to go box was literally half empty. You used to get a bunch of salsa with your chips and I had about four or five chips with not enough salsa to enjoy. read more

Good food, decent prices and friendly staff. We are regulars here. Recommend giving them a try.

This is our NEW spot! They have happy hour and the service is FAST! We beat the 6 o clock rush, they still managed to seat quickly. They have patio seating, complementary chips and salsa. We tried to queso and got our food at record time. The fajitas could you a little seasoning but I'm a spicy salsa girl and the salsa was perfect for me. The inside had very tasteful music and drinks. This is a nice hidden spot, I will be a regular here ! read more

I went to the Los Rios location this afternoon. It was my first time at this restaurant chain. The staff was very friendly. But the chips were the texture of cardboard, and the enchiladas were horrible. I ordered the Manuel's Enchiladas plate. I can honestly say that I've never had enchiladas that bad. It tasted as though they purchased some corn tortillas and shredded cheese from the nearby Kroger and threw them into a microwave. The only reason I didn't return my plate was because we were in a rush. Very disappointing. read more

Food was good. Drinks decent. Service.. I went on a week day afternoon, I was the only customer in the restaurant. The food came quickly. It was good, had flavor and was hot.
