Visited tonight to celebrate my birthday since I was in the mood for Mexican food. On a prior visit I ordered ordered Beef Fajitas, Enchiladas and Tacos for take away. I was very happy with the food and wanted to experience the in-person dining. The place is colorful and true to the theme. It appears to be well-loved as the seats showed signs of wear. The service was very basic. They don't do anything exciting if you are celebrating an occasion. We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday at our table. The food- their fajitas were delicious and worthy of future returns for takeout for sure. One gentleman in our party tried a sandwich with, steak, hot dog, ham and chorizo and he really loved it. The house burrito was delicious and a great value. We veered of course and ordered the whole fish expecting to be wowed by the flavors. It did not deliver. Although it was cooked well, it was bland. We were also excited to try the fried ice cream. It's topped with corn flakes then fried. This was most disappointing. It didn't taste fresh or as if it had just come out of the fryer. The cereal crust tasted stale and chewy- No crunch whatsoever. I had to send it back. All in all I still give this place 4 stars because the dishes they execute well are really worth coming back for. read more

EVERY Mexican restaurant has fajitas but holy cow were these good!! Most make them smothered in so many onions and green peppers that you can't find the protein but not these! They gave a really nice amount of steak and chicken and the lightly charred red peppers and onions added the perfect amount of sweetest. The wait staff treat you like family, and always have great suggestions (although I go for the chicken fajitas and margaritas!) and always are pleasant to deal with. As of 3/09/19 they have changed there menu. They have keep the price on the fajitas and also removed the rice ,beans and lettuce from the plate . Same price less food you now pay $2.00 for the rice and $2.00 for the beans . I don't know about the lettuce because when asked when ordering I was told there was a salad with it . Well what the call salad is a ice cream scoop of sour cream , guacamole , and pico. I don't know how you get salad from that !! The staff is still friendly but slow and don't bring everything out at once you have to remind them to bring things out . I have to say as of 3/9/19 I will no longer be going there . read more

I wanted to love this place because this area deserves a great new dining experience. I went on a Tuesday night after dinner rush (8ish). I was excited to see the décor was colorful and dining area was bright and clean. We were seated immediately into a comfortable booth. Our server was pleasant but did not have a clue about anything on the menu. After reading other reviews, I expected to see an extensive menu but that was not the case. Limited appetizers and basic staples of a Cantina were absent. We didn't get what we ordered for an app, instead we received a large molcajete filled with a steaming hot soupy tomato base with about a few tablespoons of fresh chopped tomatoes and onions. It was piled with some tortilla chips. Bizarre - it was too soupy to dip and had to move other tortillas out of the way to even try it. I had the stuffed pineapple with shrimp. They use the tiniest, flavorless, bay shrimp (the kind you get in a can). The shrimp was melted with cheese into the core of a half pineapple and that's it. The picture in the menu looked totally different. I couldn't get past the smell. It was not pleasant. My friend ordered three different tacos. He ate them and said they were bland. The carnitas taco was better than the others. I asked why he ate something he didn't care for and he said, "I was just hungry and it's late". Obviously, the quality of our meal had nothing to do with us coming during prime dinner time. I don't think the menu or quality of food is dialed-in. I dropped $60 including tip and won't be back. read more

2.5 stars...lunch, 2 adults, 1 child. The chips & salsa highlighted our meal! All kinds of yum in that salsa! We ordered from the lunch specials. Chicken burrito, veggie enchiladas and a cheese quesadilla. Presentation was good, food looked appetizing and I was quite hungry, hence me devouring the salsa before an order was even placed. Como se dice cheese overload? Oaxaca is most comparable to string cheese so I found it odd to be the only ingredient inside of all our menu selections. It didn't melt too well either so the inside of my veggie enchiladas that didn't feature one vegetable tasted similar to a mozzarella stick. Let's say a Mexican mozzarella stick. My friend thought her meal was sub par as well. This was her second attempt at Casa. The first being disappointing to say the least. Service wasn't bad but our waitress was seated in a booth eating her lunch with friends during our meal so she took a very long time to check on us and bring out the check. (we were only customers in restaurant.) I probably won't be heading back, as mozzarella sticks are much more affordable at Giant! read more

Been to Casa to eat in probably 5 or so times. Ordered take out tonight for the first time for Cinco de Mayo. Our order was ready when I arrived to pick it up. Ugh, I really wanted to like this place. Being new to the area I was excited to have an authentic Mexican restaurant blocks away from my home. Boy, was I disappointed when I came for lunch and was expecting a delicious meal. I ordered a steak burrito with refried beans and a side of Spanish rice. The burrito itself was pretty small, most establishments serve larger tortillas. This wasn't a deal breaker, though. The steak within the burrito was very low quality and an odd gray color - it did not look restaurant quality meat. It looked as though it was purchased at the Acme supermarket down the block and fried up in a pan. Very questionable... The side of rice was very pathetic looking - like Zatarans from a box. It lacked flavor and the peas were sad looking and shriveled. The refried beans weren't bad, that probably was the best part of the meal. Don't even get me started on the tacky decor on the inside either, it's overkill and very cheesy looking. I will say that the service was friendly and very willing to answer any questions I had. I feel like I really ripped into this place but the food was simply low quality which was disappointing. Bummer. read more

I recently moved to the area, and this place is on my drive home. So me and my boyfriend decided to give it a try, as I am a big fan of Mexican cuisine. The decor was great! Service was great. However, I tried to order there house drink, and I kid you not, it is a bowl of fruit in a small ceramic casserole bowl, the fruit is floating in grapefruit soda. I was a bit confused, then the waiter hands me a 5 oz shot of tequila and a straw. And boom that was my drink. Not even sure how to begin the drink, it was bizarre. It also had a price tag of $15 unbeknownst to me. Then for dinner I ordered there Chicken Chimichanga's. WARNING this restaurant only uses dark meat! The chimi was hardly edible, I tried to get through it but the dark meat tasted so gamy. I would not order a chicken meal from this establishment again, I know the dark meat is cheaper, but dang! I really wanted to like this place, but may only come here for safe choices like nachos and drinks. Hope this helps! read more
