This restaurant WAS pretty good. My family used to order from this place all the time over the phone and carry out. The last few times we've carried out from Casa Garcia's the experience has been less than desirable. I often wait 10 to 20 minutes after when my order is supposed to be ready, and when it does arrive it's always riddled with inaccuracies or missing items. Today specifically I ordered 2 pounds of Fajita meat, 1 Lb Chicken 1Lb beef to be specific. To my surprise at Casa Garcia's when you order fajita meat it doesn't come with everything like it used to. No lettuce, Cheese, Pico, not even tortillas... Those all cost extra. If I spend $60 on two pounds of FAJITA meat I expect to have everything that makes a fajita a fajita to come along with it. Even the hostesses were surprised when the manager told me that Fajitas don't come with tortillas, absolutely ridiculous. read more

Can I give 0 stars? AWFUL!!! 2nd time we've been to CG & we decided to cut them some slack after the opening week FIASCO. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe it. However, after this evening's epic fail (as the kids say), I felt compelled to write my first Yelp review. Don't eat here. Ever. They will not improve. The staff from 2 weeks ago still all have that deer in the headlights look, because they were all hired 3 days ago. If you can't keep your staff, how do you expect to keep your customers. Our waiter seemed like a nice kid, so we encouraged him to look for a new job. The shrimp cocktail is served in a generous portion size, but we needed a long tea spoon to fish 3 shrimp from the recesses of the bowl. That's where it ended for us. I could review the other dishes, but it would've been a regurgitation of the other reviews, i.e. Velveeta cheese, Wisconsin style Mexican food, grainy rice, horrible chips. Need I say more? I didn't try the tortillas, but the tortilla maker gives the appearance of authentic Mexican food. Do not be fooled Let's speak to the lack of authenticity. We were lured in by the hip hop dj on the patio. It sounds like a nightclub more than a Mexican restaurant. And the staff act like they're out in the club: texting, flirting with one another, & acting like they can't see the old folks sitting at an empty table desperately waiting for someone to acknowledge them. Heed my warning, folks! Beware!!! And the management: he reaches out to his staff more than to his customers, literally. Saw him hugging on several female wait staff but never once bothered to waste his time speaking to customers. But he was working the floor... I could go on. And on. And on. But why? Love this location! The food is good and the drinks are even better! I love the Dos a Rita and the stuffed avacado! Plus they serve breakfast all day everyday. The staff is always friendly, but Brandon is the best server by far!! If you get a chance to sit in his section, do it! He will keep all of your drinks and chips filled as well as make you laugh non stop! I have never had abad experience here and I normally go here about once a week. read more

Really No Stars , We were told a 20 minute wait for a table for 14 in 2 seperate Tables (1 for 10 and 1 for 4) . We waited 55 minutes and when called the table for 4 was ready and the one for 10 only sat 8 . 3 Of those People decided to leave . After that the food was not served until 45 minutes later . The past few times we've visited, the service is terrible. Slow to visit table, food not ordered accurately, long wait. This morning, they delivered my husband's plate with beans (he asked for his lunch without beans) and when they brought it back it was onvioys that they had scraped the food from one plate to another. The food was redelivered on a smaller plate and the overeasy eggs on top of the enchiladas were broken. They did nothing to remedy the issue. We won't be back. read more

This place is okay. Food takes longer jab it should and is meh. Most things are covered in cheese. Servers are usually nice. Music is usually pretty loud making the rest of the restaurant pretty loud. There aren't many Mexican food places in this strip mall kinda place. Have been coming to Kyle location for over 8 years. Today I picked up two enchiladas and a fajita taco. SIMPLE!!! No one else in pick up. Receipt was correct, but obviously no one paying attention to what the customer ordered or could read! DUH...DUH...DUH!!! The only thing they got right was having cheese in the enchilada with the wrong sauce and my beef fajita, which had to have been cooked at 6 am when they were preparing for breakfast! Fed it to dogs. Asked for only onions with extra...not a single onion on the hard tortilla. Never been so disgusted! Should have gone to Taco Bell!!! Very Disappointed! I have been on two different occasions. The first time we went, our waiter came very quickly and took our drink and chips and queso order we got our drinks and queso about 15 mins later but still had no chips waiter walk by us so fast each time he was unable to see we need refills and chips even after we told the waiter we had no chips to eat the queso with we still didn't get chips! we got them about 1 min before our food came out by then we didn't even want the cold queso anymore, I had ordered the Chicken enchiladas and they were not bad but after waiting a very long time for food when you have two hungry small children is not to much fun so we all wanted eat and get out of there! So even after the bad experience we decided not to write the place off on the chance they were just having a bad day. So we go by and no one was really in there maybe 4 other tables had people eating. so i expected we would have better service but i was WRONG it was a different waiter but still had the same crappy service we still couldn't get chips, Refills anything and we were not the only ones there with that problem and there was more then enough waiters. So that was and will be last time we eat there. But that's ok we still have Garcia's next to our house and they have never let us down we actually ate there this morning. YUM! read more

I went on a Saturday for an early dinner. There were few people inside which made the poor service all the more noticeable. After waiting for about 15 minutes before someone took our drink order, we finally started to get up to leave when the manager asked if we'd been helped. After ordering, he came back with some free queso which was nice, but didn't really make up for the poor service. When we got our food, it was wrong. She ordered the The Original chili rellenos. Instead of chicken, it had beef. I myself ordered enchiladas and was shorted one. When we were nearly done eating, the waitress finally came by and apologized "I was so busy!" We went here for the first time today and were absolutely not impressed. We waited 10 min of for the server to take our drink order and waited another 10 for our drinks. Then, we waited another 15 min for her to come back and take our order. She actually went to a table who had come in at least 5 min after us first to take their order. Our chips with the chips and salsa were 3/4 just crushed little pieces. I ordered un-sweet tea, they brought sweet (about 15 in later). Waited another 10 min for her to replace it. We asked for more salsa b/c they only give you a tiny little bowl. That took about 15 min to arrive. Our food came. I was missing something that should have been with my dish. I asked the server about it and she said she didn't know but she thought it was fine. I know what the menu said was supposed to come with my overpriced meal! lol Asked for to-go boxes. They came within 10 min. Had my bank card ready for her to settle the bill and waited about 15 min for her to get it. Then, another 10 for her to bring it back to me. (They weren't all that busy). Overall, food was very bland. Nothing compared to the mom and pop joints we all have access to here. Well overpriced in my opinion and at least today, we had horrible service. The service here is AWESOME!! We literally walked in the door and instantly got sat by the hostess. Our servers name was Chris and he was super funny and great! Our glasses never got to being half empty and the food came out really fast. We got chicken and steak fajitas and they came with bottomless tortillas and tons of cheese guacamole and sour cream. Subpar Tex-mex. beef is cheap meat. I'm a fajita guy and their fajitas ain't that great. The meat tastes cheap, not very good quality.

I think that the Casa Garcia's restaurant in Kyle is run very poorly. We waited for a table for about 15 minutes on Friday Night until we had had enough and left. We were waiting for a table outside and while we waited close to the outside dining area, we saw an empty table and a dirty table sit there for the whole 15 minutes with no one paying them any attention. If the hostess had walked outside they would have seen the empty tables and hopefully got a busboy out there to clean and prepare them. The manager stayed up at the hostess table the whole time. That should not be where he stays and manages the table, the hostess should do it. You don't make your money at the hostess station, you make it where the tables are. Obviously the hostess are not well trained. Neither are the waiters. When I waited tables if I had a dirty table sit there for very long I would buss it myself to try and get more customers into my station. The 2 guys that were outside seemed oblivious to what was going on, once again poor training. Been disappointed too many times there to go back. read more

We have been coming to this Restaurant for 2 years and lately the Service has gone Way down. The staff taking names for seating were extremely rude tonight. We finally got a table we ordered Tortilla soup it comes with a side of Spanish rice, the portion they gave my sister was like 2 tablespoons and they gave me a normal serving, the rice was very cold and hard. My sister asked for more rice they did bring her more finally. They did not give us spoons to eat our soup we were told they were washing spoons in the meantime our soup is get cold while we wait to eat it. We are giving this Restaurant a break- Tired if being disappointed! It takes a lot for me to post like this but tonight was the last straw. We arrived around 6:30 PM on 01/17/2020. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table for 2. 45 minutes later we asked about how much longer and we were told we were getting close. After waiting an hour we were told there were 3 others ahead of us. After 4 other parties were seated, I asked again. They looked over the names on their list and said we weren't even on it. They then seated us immediately after almost 2 hours waiting. We have been going there since they opened several years ago but will never go back. They didn't even offer a free drink. Amazing chimichanga! My fiancé and I went here a couple nights ago. The chimichanga was the best I've ever had the fajita beef was ver tender and flavorful. Got seats at the bar, this place was packed! used to always go to the WM Cannon location but came here since we live south now. This location is just as good as the other one. bartenders were really nice and checked on us several times. Got menus and drinks quick. chips and salsa is always good. Entrees were good, big portions. This place is always so dirty. Tables in the bar never get bussed, have tried several times to go and have drinks there, with several tables around the bar empty of patrons but empty glasses and plates on the tables and no one seems to care. Dirty bathrooms. Will NEVER go back. Shame because we only live a few miles away and would like to give them our business. read more

Wife order takeout. Upon opening the order at home they forgot to include ingredients such as The sauce for the eggs ranchero verde. She also ordered 2 large chicken soup and was told everything will come with tortillas. She returned and explained situation to manager and that they also failed to include tortillas. He said they will just put the green sauce on the eggs at which time she pointed out to him that her meal was already cold. He asked her what she wanted him to do for her and she requested the order be remade fresh and please make sure she gets her tortillas. He assured her that's what they would do and expedite the order. He took the plate back and came back with a new plate in about 2 minutes. She was impressed to say the least. He showed her the green sauce was on there. She thanked him for expediting the remake order and asked for hot sauce and if he could add extra hot sauce for her trouble. Once at home, she sat down to eat and realized he gave her the same food in a new plate because everything was cold and the extra hot sauce was rancid!! I had Kristi as a "Server". We frequent this restaurant because we normally have a good experience there. For Mother's Day, I decided to take my wife to the restaurant she really likes. We were seated went through a basket of chips 20 minutes or so before Kristi came to take our order. A while later, we get our food minus a couple items, no forks, no tortilla's and no waitress to be found. Out of frustration, I got the silverware myself so my family can eat and flagged down another waitress to get the items missing. My wife and I searched for our waitress and finally found her counting her tips at the register. Throughout our entire time (roughly 90 minutes) at the restaurant, our waitress came twice. One of the times is when I asked to speak to a manager because I found a piece of glass about 1cm long in wife's margarita. I'm explaining everything that happened to the manager only to have Kristi swing by trying to pick up plates and try to speak over me to the manager. We don't expect to be waited on hand and foot, we normally tip very well, but damn, caring a little will go a long way. We have lived her in Kyle for 6 months and this place was our favorite place to dine. After this evening's experience, sadly it will never happen again. We always have good food here! I love that the salsa is spicy! I always order the spinach enchiladas and they are really good! I enjoy that the happy hour is until 7:00pm for those who work, $7 for a large margarita thats a great deal! It is pretty much always crazy busy but at least it is semi-stable. Great chicken nachos (they started using some weird beef about 6 months ago and if you want to be able to chew your meat, you'll stick with the chicken). Drink tastes change with each bartender. I really like Casa Garcia's food!! I usually get good service. However they are normally real busy which can sometimes make it a longer visit than I would like to have. So unless you need to be in an out at dinner time make sure you try Casa G's. But don't go if your in a hurry! Have a Margarita while you wait!! (that's a plus) read more
