We found this place on Phoenix eater so we decided to try something new, so we popped in for some drinks and snacks. We stopped in about five for happy hour. The restaurant has a small bar of three seats to enjoy some drinks.. initially we were just going to have margaritas for six dollars during happy hour but decided to have guacamole as well for $10 on happy hour. Guacamole was excellent and came with a bean dip. To complement, our guacamole and chips we checked out the salsa bar. The salsa bar has over six choices of salsa. One of my favorite salsas was hibiscus. We enjoyed our quick happy hour so much that we hope to come back for dinner as I see Mole is on the menu. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I hear that they have open a second venue not too far from the original place. They have an event venue. Their original place is in a former church. The architecture inside is very interesting due to the roof structure.

We returned to this restaurant and had an equally pleasant experience as last time. The patio was pleasant but noisy with traffic noise. Our waiter was nice, service was prompt, and our food was good. The chips are still served with a delicious bean dip and the salmon and chile relleno were still good.

From the moment my family and I walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated within five minutes. Once we sat down, our waiter brought us water. The decorations were all so cute and in addition to the lighting made the experience even better. The food was phenomenal and I highly recommend getting the chicken enchiladas as the sauce was amazing. My only complaint was the chips which were $6 a bowl after the first one.

This was definitely one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Arizona and trust me, I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants! They're open everyday from 11am-9pm except the weekend (they open at 10am and close at 10pm on Fri & Sat!) Parking was slightly small but not a big issue since they have their own parking lot Service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive Inside was beautifully decorated and had a good amount of seating! They've HAPPY HOUR on the weekdays 3-6pm! The HH menu consists of: - $4 tacos (asada, Al pastor, chicken, veggie, corazon, cochinta pibil, tinga, and mole) - guacamole ($10) - freshly made!! - street corn ($10) - regular ($6)/skinny ($8), spicy margarita ($8) There's also a lunch special menu on the weekdays 11am-3pm! The regular menu consists of a good variety of burritos, tacos, and popular Mexican entrees and appetizers! Everything was pretty reasonably priced and most dishes were $20+. The complimentary chips were so crispy and fresh! It came with a freshly made bean dip and it was so delicious! Really enjoyed there was a salsa bar where there was plenty of different kinds of salsa to choose! I especially liked the pineapple salsa! The Horchata ($5) was so good! It wasn't too sweet and it was so refreshing! It was so fresh and didn't taste artificial! Got the Mix & Match - $16.95 - got one beef enchilada & asada taco! The enchilada was so yummy! It was so cheesy and flavorful without being too salty. The beef was so well seasoned and it was packed with meat! The taco was so delicious! The tortilla was so fresh and the asada was so flavorful and tender! Really enjoyed how much meat and how big the taco was! This was 9/10 Would definitely recommend and return!

Happy Hour Margarita.

We had been wanting to eat here after we saw it on "Check Please Arizona!" and finally found ourselves in close range. What a great place. We were there at happy hour so we ordered margaritas and tacos off of that menu. The margaritas tasted scratch made and the tacos were awesome! The Corazon taco is a must try. We also had carne asada, chicken and Al Pastor. All were great. Planning to return and order off the regular menu as there was a lot there that was intriguing. Service was great too. I will say it gets a bit loud when it's full. Other than that it's a highly recommend!

Casa Corazon has delicious food, a beautiful restaurant, and great staff. Everything we had was delicious from the queso to the tacos. They have a salsa bar with so many different options to try. Even for a party of people who do not love spicy, we were able to find something for us. The signature sauce on the food was a bit spicy for us, but that did not deter from the flavor. The drinks we ordered were delicious. Overall, we had a great experience here and we will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Mole

Found this little gem today. I'm a bit of a mole snob and this mole is top 3 I have ever had. Ambience is nice and cozy. Salsa bar has plenty of options hot and mild. My Nila's loved the chile relleno. Food is authentic and servers are attentive. Recommend if you are in the area

Shrimp kulichi

One of the best restaurants serving the most amazing, award-winning Shrimp Culichi--hands down the best dish I've ever tried! The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely unforgettable. I also tried Agua Mazapán (peanut milk) for the first time, and it was surprisingly addictive. Their salsa bar deserves a special mention, offering an incredible variety of unlimited salsas ranging from hibiscus and pineapple to serrano pepper and many more unique flavors. The ambiance was warm and inviting, paired with genuinely good service. We loved the restaurant so much that we made sure to visit again before leaving. Truly a memorable dining experience!

House margarita

Yes please! We went for happy hour which includes $4 tacos and $6 margaritas. It was one of the best margaritas I've ever had! So citrusy and fresh. The tacos are quite large too, stuffed full of meat. They have a salsa bar with all kinds of traditional and inventive offerings. The inside is gorgeous and they offer some patio seating. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I'm hoping to be back to try their brunch.

Came here last minute and was so glad we did. Got a happy hour 6.00 marg and it was so good. I got the steak and chicken fajitas it was huge and I had left overs, it came with rice and beans too. My hubby got the cheese enchiladas in green sauce, it's always a winner. The salsa bar is fantastic I can't get enough of the creamy green sauce. We were seated immediately and drink orders taken right away. Love this little bungalow house style restaurant.

We found such a nice little Mexican food spot. The entrance leads you in with the kitchen on your direct left and the dining room/seating to the right. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. Great spot for family or a date night. The staff were all kind and professional, all the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. 5 Star - hibiscus salsa was amazing. Unique and unlike anything we've had before. There is a decent amount of heat on the back end, it subtly comes. We put this just about all the food we had. 5 Star - Margarita Flight. The size of the drinks and the amount of alcohol was surprisingly fantastic. The base flavors came across as an aguas frescas which provided more depth of flavor. Our favorite was the hibiscus, then the cucumber jalapeño and last strawberry. 4 Star - The taco corazon: the shredded beef was a bit sweet but full of flavor. The grilled onions on top were a nice touch. This would be a five star if the taco were crispy. I really enjoyed the marinade on the Al Pastor taco was. It wasn't goopy and the balance of pineapple and onions made this an above average taco. 4 Star - The Chiles En Nogada was almost a 3 Star. It was really good, with a great amount of flavorful pork. We would have liked if they add more dried fruit, to better balance the amount of pork. The sauce was perfectly sweet, but we would have liked it to be a little less grainy, so blend it for longer. 4 Star - The white rice was sweet and something neither of us have tasted before. The rice had pineapple, corn and maybe a little bit of carrot. So simple but really well done. 4 Star - The guacamole was not the best we have had, but it was better than most restaurants. It was freshly made and there were great size pieces of avocado too. 3.5 Star - The tacos de chicharron. The fried pork skin rinds were wonderfully crispy but they were lacking in flavor a bit. I was not a fan of the house paste tomatoes. I was so excited for this but the soft corn tortilla with crispy pork rinds and heavy amount of paste just didn't work for me. Overall we were very impressed with the uniqueness of their food and drinks, as well as the quality overall. We will be absolutely be back to try more items on their menu! 3*** = Good but no separation from similar restaurants 4**** = Set themselves a part with unique food and I want to go back. 5*****= You have to go out of your way and make a special trip to try the deliciousness that is there!

Ceviche shrimp.avocado. I think jicama and some onions. Very fresh and crisp .

It was our first visit to the restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend very good, nice ambience, good character, a whole generally good feel to the restaurant. I got the chicken enchiladas with the green sauce. They have lots of specials that night. Also many good choices. I think I'll get the shrimp in the future. The ceviche was out of this world. And I don't know how they cook their rice, but it was some of the best rice I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I also tried one beef taco that is dipped in some sort of a sauce. That was really good and very crispy delicious.

What a terrific southern Mexican focus! So delicious! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the Azteca Tinga which was a perfect southern blend of chicken, rice, and black beans and I chose the house made corn tortillas. The very first bite was an immediate taste of legitimate authentic southern Mexican blend and just plain delicious. There is also a featured salsa bar with different delicious flavors. My wife and daughter had the flautas which weren't your typical idea of flautas bought anywhere else. I took a bite of my wife's who ordered beef. They were hand rolled, either lightly fried or baked. They weren't greasy at all and served enchilada style. The beef was tender and could easily be cut with a fork and practically melted in your mouth. Magnificent. I had the Casa Corazon margarita which was the perfect blend of corazon tequila, lemon juice, Cointreau, with fresh lime, grapefruit, on a salted brim. Our server had a terrific smile, so friendly and attentive. The restaurant got a tad warm once the sun shifted overhead (July in Arizona). The restaurant is a remodel of a much older Phoenix building. Reservations accepted and highly recommended when our weather gets nice because there was also outdoor seating. Thank you! We'll be back!

At $3.10 per taco, or $3.35 with grilled onions, the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly.

But don't let first glances taint you.... the chairs are really comfy and the place is extremely clean and spacious inside. The bar is huge, in length and depth... really this place could do well by adding so many more seats like most other restaurants... but that would take away from the comfort and space you feel. Service was excellent, reallt friendly, helpful with allergies and attentive to refils and empty plates. Food was great, prices are decent. Appetisers we ordered guacamole, one each so no fighting. The size equals the cost, the scoop is a generous ice-cream scoop size, equally echoed by the pics and servers explaintion. But this comes with 2 salasa and a huge bowl of chips. There's something so cozy and welcoming about this spot that makes it feel familiar every time we walk through the door. One of my favorite things to order here is the chilaquiles. I usually switch up the meat depending on what I'm craving, and this visit I went with chorizo. The tortilla chips have that perfect balance of crisp edges and just enough sauce to soften them without turning soggy. The chorizo adds a savory, slightly smoky richness, while the toppings bring everything together with fresh, bright flavors. It's the kind of breakfast where every bite has a little crunch, a little spice, and plenty of flavor. I also love ordering a fresh orange juice alongside my coffee--it's become part of my usual routine here. There's something about fresh OJ with a comforting plate of chilaquiles that just makes breakfast feel extra special. Ended up getting peer pressured into their rice and beans ($8!!!), two tacos, and a draft beer (don't get me started on the beer ordeal). When I got my food, the rice and beans consisted of a a 1/4 c scoop of mushy white rice but the beans were DELICIOUS. Tacos arrived cold as ice. Let their team know it was cold and ended up taking 20+ minutes for my two tacos to come back even though it was a slow evening. Lot of attitude served when first getting the tacos, and while they gave chips about 15 minutes after waiting for the second cook, the tacos came back barely warm and SO salty. I'd love to come back for the green salsa, beans, and ice cold beer.

While I've had some phenomenal street tacos in LA and Mexico, I've been wanting to explore more of its diversity, particularly the seafood traditions! We came with a healthy appetite and ordered the Mega Molcajete, El Pulpazo, and Camarones Locos. The complimentary ceviche tostadas were a promising start! Fresh, vibrant, they immediately set my expectations high for quality and freshness of the seafood to follow. The Mega Molcajete was a showstopper. The dish arrived as an extravagant spread of grilled meats, shrimp, octopus, lobster tail, fried fish, and more. Visually spectacular, and with flavors that lived up to its presentation! El Pulpazo deserves its own praise. Octopus is notoriously unforgiving. There's a fine line between beautifully tender and unpleasantly chewy. I've had my share of disappointing renditions to know that an impressive char means very little if the texture isn't right. Fortunately, this was executed well! Fantastically seasoned, with a lovely charred exterior, and cooked to the right doneness! The Camarones Locos were another highlight! We loved the flavors of the sauce! Since we had children with us, our waitress graciously accommodated our request to serve the sauce separately to control the spice level! We also had the Mango Diablo, which provided some much-needed tropical refreshment from both the Arizona heat and the fiery kick of the dishes themselves! A few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. The parking can be tricky, as the lot is rather small (we were fortunate to snag the single remaining spot in the lot). This was also not an inexpensive outing. Our bill (for the aforementioned orders above) came in just under $300 (tax and tip included). That said, I felt the experience justified the splurge!

We started with guac, drinks and then proceeded to entrees. Several of us had tacos- tacos are two for 18-20 dollars and comes with rice and beans. We tried the sweet potatoes and the carne asada tacos. I love sweet potatoes, but this taco may of had too much sauce on it for my liking. In the pass, the dish had a lot less sauce so you can taste the potatoes. The other thing to be careful about is the ingredients in dishes- one of our guest is sensitive to onions and we clearly asked about the guac and informed that they were carmelized onions and they were raw. As for drinks- always good. Especially good if you catch a drink at happy hour. As for ambiance- it's an open restaurant. So not the place you go for a quiet dinner but more of a festive causal place. Our seat was next to the party room, so we had extra noise around us as the door was open.
