Traveled here on a whim and found this spot, which looked really cool based on the outside. When inside it's kind of crowded. The tables are really close together and the walkways aren't wide causing a lot of congestion even just trying to get to the salsa bar. The drinks were good, with nice flavor and kick. This is the place dreams are made of! Serving up authentic Mexican dishes that taste like they're straight from your abuela's kitchen, complete with a full salsa bar. One thing you don't want to miss is the gordita cochinita. Anytime you find cochinita, you have to try it, but paired with a gordita, it's amazing. The margaritas are also on point. Casa Corazon is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. The interior has some beautiful art on the walls and it's nice and cozy. The salsa bar has at least 8 different options. The salsa that I did try was delicious. Guacamole was extremely fresh and tasty! To eat I got the chicken mole dish. If you haven't had mole before it's definitely a different taste, but I love mole and this dish did not disappoint. I would definitely come back here again! There isn't anything authentic about the food. It's all so different and delicious! From shrimp enchiladas made with beet juice to Hibiscus cheesecake. The tortillas both flour and corn are made in house. The service was prompt and efficient. The salsa bar has a variety. After watching a Spring Training baseball game today my wife and I decided on trying a Mexican restaurant. Casa Corazon came with favorable reviews. My advice is approach their property slowly, the driveway entrance is a bit hard to pick out. A parking attendant met us, led us to a spot in a fairly crowded lot. The staff is friendly, the food choices varied. I chose a burrito which came "dry", no cheeses on top...sigh The best part of the meal to me was seeing my wife enjoy her margarita flight of 3 tastes. My compadre Martín told me to come here if I'm ever in Phoenix Arizona. It's one of his favorite places to eat and he kept bragging about how delicious everything is there. We came here early so parking was not full. They have a parking lot behind their restaurant. The restaurant is cute with high ceiling. There are many options for salsa to enjoy with chips. The shrimp cocktail is so good with super fresh shrimp. I love that it is not too sour but perfectly seasoned. The slow roasted pork butt is super tender and juicy with lots of deliciousness. I've been here 3 times and every time I've had great service and the food is really good. I love that they have a salsa bar with many options and I typically don't like beans but their refried bean dip that comes out is amazing. I love the Cochinita pibil taco and the corn shells are made in house and out of this world. The carne asada taco isn't my favorite, I've tried it twice and it lacks a little flavor compared to everything else they've had. The empanada my friend had, was also amazing but I definitely couldn't eat a whole one on my own. I like the margaritas. The server suggested the hibiscus picante, I honestly never would have chosen this... But it is so good. It's been inconsistent how spicy it is, and spicy isn't normally my thing, but I really love this margarita. My friends on the house ones as well, and they are six dollars on happy hour which is awesome. They also have four dollar tacos as well for happy hour pricing. Overall, I like this place a lot. The Yelp community did not disappoint when a friend and I were looking for a restaurant to eat at before catching a flight back home. So if you're doing the same, definitely get directions to this restaurant so you can stop by this gem. Easy parking and no wait were an also a bonus. We started with drinks (I ordered the cucumber jalapeño margarita) which was refreshing with a kick which I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was fast and friendly. To start we polished off an order of chips and guacamole. For my main meal I ordered the flautas and my waiter recommended Christmas style (both green and red sauce). No lie there was so much food! Maybe I filled up too much on chips, but Ii couldn't finish the meal and had to take it with me. The prices were very reasonable for the amount and quality of food. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant in our house. This gem is tucked away in a neighborhood near midtown. The menu is quite extensive and the prices are affordable. Portions are reasonable and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend the enchiladas and tacos. The salsa bar is a big highlight as you can sample over 10 different salsas (my favorite is the pineapple salsa). There is only inside seating, but I've never had to wait to be seated. Make sure if you dine in that you get their Sangria or Dragonfruit cocktails -they are a must. read more

For our first meal in Phoenix, our friends took us to Casa Corazon. We had already eaten lunch but how could we say no to authentic tacos! Between my husband and I, we had the tacos de Chicharron, Tacos Corazon (the house/signature taco), Carne Asada Taco and the Taco al Pastor. I have to say, $5-6 per taco is pricey though! The Tacos de Chicharron and Carne Asada Taco were our favorites and I definitely recommend them. I also had a side of grilled vegetables that were perfectly grilled and very tasty. It was a good amount of food. Our friends who had the enchiladas and the Mole Negro enjoyed their food as well. I also loved that they have a salsa bar near the entrance. You first enter the restaurant through the kitchen, not a fan of walking through the kitchen seems awkward. I thought I had opened the wrong door, but it's actually the main entrance you go through the kitchen. We ended up ordering two Asada tacos And a flauta entre, and the flautas looked like mini chimichangas, the meat that was in it was very dry and hard. Rice and beans were not tasting good, seem like the rice had too much butter in it. But if you want great tasting flautas I suggest going down the road to Cielo Rojo! read more

I came this afternoon (Wednesday) for happy hour. I sat at their cozy three stool bar. The employees were warm and friendly from the moment I walked in. They right away brought me warm, delicious chips and bean dip. The chips were seriously sooo good! I complimented the chips with a few salsas from their salsa bar, and enjoyed a couple of their house margaritas for $6, followed by three tacos for $4 each. The tacos were quite filling, I ate 2.5 and was stuffed! Next time I would go for two tacos, or maybe just one and have more chips because again, they were incredible! I had the Asada, Al Pastor, and Al Vapor, as shown from top to bottom. The Asada was a bit plain until I added some salsa, and then it was great. The Al Vapor was my favorite. It was wonderful on its own, and also fantastic dipped in salsa. I would absolutely recommend this place, and I will be back! read more

Tonight, my husband took me to dinner at Casa Corazon after we'd had a late afternoon appointment downtown. He was adamant that he find it and could not be dissuaded. From the incredible salsa bar (try the hibiscus-sweet & smoky, or the fresca-salty and just the right spice level) to the Jamaica and unique lemonade flavors, the stage was set for a deliciously curated meal! He opted for the shrimp cocktail and the lobster quesadilla. I chose the cochinito pibil under the advisement of our delightful server, Alex. The delectable blend of seasonings and spices along with the presentation were absolute perfection! The portion sizes are such that I will have a fabulous lunch to enjoy tomorrow. My husband had visited previously for their fish tacos and loved the fact that you enter through the "kitchen" area, just like family. All told, you could go elsewhere and you could certainly pay a lot more for food this fantastic. I have a rule that I wont eat at a Mexican restaurant if they don't have French fries ..the don't disappoint! Nice ones too! Never had to add salt to Mexican food though; that was new. I'm told there is 'Mexico Mexican' 'Arizona Mexican' 'California Mexican' and 'Texas Mexican'. Think this might be the California one. Been here a couple times because I have California friends who enjoy it but I'd never come in my own. Flies have been an issue the few times I've been, too. What can I say but what a disappointment. I really recommend any other place in the valley. Service was horrible. Food was bland. The aesthetic of the place is far off. Am I fine dining or takeout? You have to get up from your table to go into the lobby for your salsas. On top of that I never had such a problem providing seating for my kids. It took 3 rounds of asking the waiters if they could provide a high chair. You would think that the dessert would at least save the day but sadly no. We stumbled by this restaurant by accident and were so happy we did! Seating was full, again, a good sign it's a good spot. We were immediately seated. Our server was such a nice guy and was coming over to check on us frequently. I ordered a Paloma drink and my boyfriend ordered a mazapán drink. We shared a molcajete dish.
