Came on a Saturday during their happy hour time and was greeted at the front. It was pretty empty when we came in but they were playing cool little slow jams. The hostess doubled as our waiter as well which was just a mess in my opinion. For it to not be that busy, every thing we ordered took FOREVERRRRR to come out. We ordered the $3 tacos, which were pretty small so be prepared to order multiple, and the birria nachos (we ended up getting chicken instead--some pieces of the shredded chicken were dry but overall decent). Like I mentioned, food took forever to come out. I would've been ok if the drinks came out first but nope. Drinks took even longer. The long wait time was confusing to me because there was literally no one else there. Plus, our host/waiter/bartender/all the above, seemed to be a bit confused. The food was decent though, so that's a plus. I would've been annoyed if I waited and the food was nasty. But the margarita (I ordered the peach) was super good. Tasted like juice. Would've loved to get more but the wait we had to just get two simple tacos and a drink through us off so we ended up leaving to go elsewhere. Nonetheless, I may come back another time when I have more time to spare. The inside looked nice and $5 margs are a deal you really can't beat in Atlanta so they won with that one.
I ordered the Shrimp & Grits, he had the Fried Chicken Platter, & churros --- yall, the food was SO good! It's spposed to be a Mexican & Mediterranean spot, but it's giving Mexican & BLK. For some reason, they no longer do pitchers but you barely notice cus they keep the dranks cominggg. Ambiance is just ok, but the service & music make up for it. Limited parking, so do what that what you will. Ok, I have to knock off .5 pt because the ladies room is gross and smell like sewage.
This is one of those places that appears to you on TikTok, and honestly it was not what we were expecting, we were one of their first tables but the restaurant felt dirty, booths were full of hookah ashes, also the servers were arguing about some random thing very out loud that the whole restaurant could hear them, but we were in a rush to get on out to the airport so we decided to give it a try. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles and I ordered the chilaquiles, they were both very average, nothing spectacular. But the thing that made me gave it 2 stars was that at the end they added the gratuity, and we were just a party of 2, that's INSANE. I work in hospitality and that's not okay.
I wanted to love this restaurant, but the lobster special that they do aggressively advertise on their website didn't exist, and the server acted like she never even heard of it. We ended up getting guacamole app, quinoa salad with shrimp and a seafood app. Salad was cold, including the shrimp, and the seafood stew didn't have any fish in it at all, just shrimp and mussels. Paloma drink was super light. They'll give you a shot on the house if you check in on yelp. There's parking outback but it fills up and no patio but they open the windows which allows for some great people watching. Not sure if we ordered wrong items, but I wasn't impressed.
Food was tasty and lots of options that are Mediterranean and Mexican. We were checked on every so often so the service was good. With the music, it is certainly trendy.
Really enjoyed Casa Almenara! We came during happy hour and got a great deal on drinks -- the passion fruit margarita was amazing. The birria tacos were packed with flavor, and we also tried the nachos -- they were a little cold but still really tasty. Our server, Zharia, was super friendly and on top of everything. The place is clean and cozy, and even the bathroom was spotless. Definitely planning to come back soon!
Excellent service from our waiter! The resturant is in a convenient location with free parking. contemporary decor, and spacious. Festive atmosphere. I enjoyed my dinner but felt the drinks & meal are a bit too pricey- the shrimp tacos should come with a side and not at an additional expense. Also, the cocktails are not necessarily worth the price as they were average cocktails and size.
Free parking, empty on a Wednesday at dinner time, and great service. The waiter was so nice and went out of business way to make it a great dining experience. I really loved that they gave us complimentary chips and salsa. I got the shrimp, birria, and rings tres tacos (one of each) and the shrimp tacos were amazing! The fajitas were also good but the steak a bit overcooked given that the pan continues cooking but plenty for leftovers the next day so good deal overall!
Stopped by for Sunday Brunch. Reservations are advisable! Fortunately Brunch runs until 5(there may be a dining limit but we didn't stay that longer than 90 minutes or so). Brunch specials include $20 mimosas and specialty cocktail carafes. This restaurant used to be 10th and Piedmont, the owners redesigned the space and menu with a latin twist. The interior feels tropical; a DJ plays until 4; and the walls are windows that can be opened if the weather is nice. Same crowd and fun, I believe Blake's opens at 5 on Sunday. The brunch menu features ceviche(table next to me got it and loved it), huevos rancheros, fried chicken, and pancakes. We ordered chicken tinga tostada($10) - best dish we had! Would order two for my main; the burrito which comes with a side of potatoes($18+)and the salad with chicken added($22+) - chicken was super salty. When we sat down we were given complimentary nachos and salsa verde that taste fresh. I think the food is overpriced for what you're getting. Even in the Atlanta market in midtown the portions and prices didn't match. There were no real standout dishes either to recommend going back for another time. Good vibe for fun hanging out but there are places with more food/variety for similar prices. Service was slow to start but once we started they kept the mimosas flowing. There is a free parking lot and free parking on the street until 4, but spots are hard to come by here!
It was my first time here, and I came with one of my friends. We actually ended up making a reservation for dinner, and were seated as soon as we walked in. I would say the restaurant in terms of ambience was extremely loud. I wasn't expecting the music to be playing as loud as it was so didn't make it a little difficult to talk, though we still were able to make the best of it. In terms of service, our server himself was very kind though it seem like the restaurant have been going through some sort of transition. Not only do they have a menu that has more Spanish style food. They also started doing Mediterranean. When we asked the server questions about the menu, they didn't really seem to know and ended up just opening up the menu and reading from it. All in all that's good but just seemed like they were all over the place for a bit. Which caused me to start to become a little bit skeptical about how good the food was going to be. I ended up getting the strawberry cheesecake martini, and it was OK, a little too sweet for my liking. For my entrée, I was going to have the whole fish on the Mediterranean menu, but the server guided me towards having the lamb kebabs. I'm super happy that, he did because I really enjoyed it! It came with multiple sides, which were all very enjoyable and had a ton of flavor. I was actually impressed by the portion of the food in terms of what I paid as well. All in all I had a really good time And would come back to try something else on the menu!
Decided to stop in after a walk with a friend in Piedmont. It's conveniently located at the intersection of 10th & Piedmont Ave. As we entered the establishment we were greeted & seated immediately by the host. The ambiance is nice, feels like a restaurant that would be located on the beach. The server took our drink orders immediately. I ordered water and the Cranberry Mimosa margarita and my friend ordered the Innocent sangria (mock tail - not pictured). The margarita was extremely refreshing (I opted to go without the fresh garnish). I wasn't hungry so I skipped the food. My friend ordered the Tres Tacos and rice and rated them a 4 out of 5. The restaurant was very clean and multiple staff checked in on us throughout our time in the restaurant.
My friend and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch here. The restaurant wasn't very busy, so we appreciated the extra attention from the waitstaff. The service was friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We both opted for the bottomless mimosas, which were very reasonably priced for the amount we were served. Our favorite flavor was the pineapple; it was refreshing and definitely worth trying. The atmosphere was relaxed, with music playing at just the right volume. It created the perfect environment to enjoy a meal and have a conversation without having to talk over loud music. I ordered the grilled lamb skewers, while my friend had the chicken skewers. The seasoning on both dishes was excellent, but I personally prefer my rice and meat to be a bit more moist. Both were on the dry side for my taste, which is why I rated the food four stars. Ironically, my friend loved the drier rice, so your mileage may vary depending on your preference. Parking was easy during our visit because the restaurant wasn't crowded, though I imagine you may need to use street parking during busier times. One thing to note: a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, so be sure to check your receipt before adding an additional tip. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience thanks to the excellent service, relaxed atmosphere, and great value on the mimosas. I'd happily return for brunch or lunch. read more

So this was our post Peachtree Road Race 2026 brunch! Picture this: tired, sweaty and walking the 20 miles from the finish line to midtown MARTA STATION.... And here is this place an oasis in a desert. A/C piping, mimosas pouring and Dj pumping. My friends and I were greatly appreciative! Asia was our server. She was friendly and ensured our glasses never emptied (hallelujah!) The ambiance was nice, people smoking their hookah, vibing to the Dj. This is definitely a turn up spot, leave the kiddies at home. Food everyone in my party enjoyed their food and we even said we look forward to coming back! read more
Stopped in for a good lil vibe and was not disappointed! Ordered an Almenara margarita, nachos and hookah. The margaritas were refreshing and the nachos were nacho'ing! Every nacho had something on them even the bottom of the bowl! The place is high energy and friendly, I suggest sitting in the corner window so you can people watch. The hookah series exceptional! read more

I come here at least once a week for happy hour in the back lounge. Sometimes my laptop comes with me. I've eaten in the restaurant plenty of times but I really want to talk about the lounge area because it's a good lowkey spot and we don't have enough of those, if you ask me. Staff is SO fun & friendly and they're really accommodating. The happy hour special is 4-7 every single day, with drink, food, and hookah specials. I always get the $5 margs & I never have to ask, that's how much I'm in here, lol. Ashley is the best! Come to karaoke on Wednesdays!! read more

Overall 1/5: Casa Almenara takes the place of what used to be 10th & Piedmont. Sad to say it was not good in any aspect from food to service. My friends and I dined in to celebrate our friends 21st birthday, and were disappointed with our experience. Drinks 3/ 5: My friends and i came in for bottomless mimosas. The mimosas were fine, definitely worth the price, only con was that they were super sugary. While we were waiting for a table, we had some drinks at the bar. We watched the bartender pour almost a full bottle of the fruit purée into the carafe. Loaaaded with sugar. Food 1/5: The food was super bland. I had the chilaquiles, the chicken was super dry and had no flavor at all. My boyfriend had the chicken and waffles, which he said the chicken was also bland and the waffle was stale. The al pastor wings didn't taste authentic at all, the flavor profile was off. Service 0/5: On to the worst part of our visit, we had the rudest server. As soon as he walked up to us, it was nothing but unpleasant. We could tell he was not happy serving us, we were super friendly and engaging as a large party table. He barely acknowledged us, or said anything. He would look down at his ordering system when he was taking our orders, and not even say anything after we've ordered, not even a nod or an okay. We would sit in silence wondering if he heard us or not. (in most cases, he didn't!) We thought that was just who he was, but as we observed him, he went up to another table with the biggest brightest energy. Probably acted that way because he was already entitled to our automatic 20% large party gratuity ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Never said more than two words to us at a time, but watched him laugh and smile with another table as he greeted them. Super rude. Do not recommend. Will not return. Business owner has responded with legal action, no apology or accountability for our poor experience. I myself work in the industry and know what i saw and experienced. To be brushed off in this manner is truly unacceptable. read more

July 2023 Fun atmosphere with a touch of class! Service:5/5 Definitely enjoyed the super quick service. The waitress really understood how to serve immediately upon entry. Super ! Prices: 5/5 As expected for this area, so close to Piedmont. It's definitely not a cheap place, and it's easy to run up a check while having fun here. Ambiance: 5/5 The crowd was lively and light hearted . Although we were the livest , it really was nice that everyone was matching our energy and encouraging a good time among 'strangers'. Taste/Textures: 5/5 Wings were hot and tasted fresh. They were of a good size ...just not enough flats ! Value: 5/5 hard to put a value on a priceless experience. Bottom Line : I recommend this local bar. Prices are decent and music is amazing. The crowd really makes it enjoyable to converse lightly or make lifelong friends. Location is convenient and we found great parking. Even if you were to just stop for a drink, and to unwind a bit, I feel like Casa fills that void. read more

We were here for a bar crawl. We got into the space before it got really crowded. The space was not very big where the bar was, but the dining area was pretty spacious. There were two bartenders and they did their best to handle the influx of orders. One of them walked away after taking my friend's order and never came back. She stayed at the bar almost ten minutes waiting for her order. The brunch item we ate was a waffle and chicken tender. The chicken tender was good; could have had a bit more seasoning. The waffle was just okay. It was crispy and flaky, but nothing spectacular. As the restaurant got more crowded employees were walking people to an area in the back. I couldn't see that far back from where I was sitting, but it looked like an additional seating area. We enjoyed our drinks here and the ambience. The decor was really cute. It's right on the corner of a fairly busy intersection. We paid to park on the street. read more

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. Our server David was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and answered the many questions we had. The mimosas were decent. We had the strawberry and passion fruit. I wish it had a bit more of a fruity flavor. I ordered the omelette but switched meals with my daughter because she did not like the tacos. I didn't care for the tacos much either. The omelette was pretty good (the one bite I had). The rest of the party enjoyed their meals except for the other two who had the tacos. read more
The Casa Churros were good but nothing amazing. This was a good spot to meet up with friends for brunch but certainly nothing special. The service was rather slow and we had been given an incorrect order and had to wait over 30 minutes for our check. read more

We ordered a burrito, shrimp & grita and flan for desert. Food quality was between 3.5 to 4.5 stars. Overall above average burrito. Flan i.e our desert was the pick of the meal. Amazing presentation, tasty and unique flavor. Would like to try some other dishes again. read more

We appreciate your feedback about our recent changes. We're sorry…
The food was average but I do wish the tiktoks I saw prior to making a reservation lived up to the expectations for the meal. The service was so good and I loved the music that played as well. At night the restaurant turns into a club with the back area being a hookah bar/lounge. The drinks were great, food came quickly and it was all priced very well. read more

It was amazing - the flavors in all the dishes we ordered was superb. Service was great- staff is so friendly- it's refreshing. They gave us complimentary chips with a yummy salsa. Ambiance was a vibee- great music and lighting. Lmao the reviews about the loud ambience are laughable- the music is perfect volume. 11/10 experience. Will be back again. Come in, you will not regret it! Order what we did ;) read more
