OMS was the perfect fit. Cheryl answered the phone and after confirming they could service my specific models, she said they could send a technician to my home and told me the hourly rate and also that they didn't have a 2-hr service minimum or anything like that (which other places I called did have). I'm a mobile notary so even though these printers are for my business, it's not like I have an office with enough printer problems for two hours of work. I do print around 1,000 pages/day, so they're definitely work horses and I need them running at their best or I can't get work. After the short call, I had an appointment scheduled, and a couple days later, right at 10 a.m. (for an appt window between 10 & noon), I received a call from their technician and Co-owner, David, who was already on his way). I really appreciated his timeliness and communication and all the work he put in to diagnose/repair one printer, and laying the other to rest. David was friendly and worked diligently for the entire hour-plus time that he was here. he also went over a few different printer options for when I'm ready to purchase a new one and let me know what they sell and service through their company, so I look forward to working with them again in the future!

We have used Richard Sumner Frames twice. The first time was great, although eye-wateringly…read moreexpensive. The second time was a horrendous experience. They can frame things beautifully and really elevate prints, paintings, and other artwork. We were really impressed with the matting, the backdrops, etc. for the first batch of frames. This earns them two stars instead of one. The second batch was two frames, roughly 24" x 30", and totaled $2084.00 which is an absurd sum for frames, at least if you ask me. However, we were really excited about these specific pieces and sort of got "suckered" into paying a premium because that's apparently what good framing costs these days . . although we'll soon be finding other sources to see if that's true. Regardless, here is the timeline of events: Oct 4: Art is dropped off, deposit paid Oct 22: Frames are ready. One frame has a visible chip in the wood, with missing material. It's about 3/8" long and 1/8" deep, clearly visible on the front of the frame where the corners meet. I notify the owner that I'm not happy with it and he agrees to fix it. I bring the first piece home. Oct 28: The second frame is ready. I go to pick it up and see that there is wood filler in the chip. The frame is wooden, with wood grain, and the wood filler is a solid color and immediately visible from the front. The wood filler is also soft to the touch. I once again notify the owner that I'm not happy with it. Nov 23: The second frame is ready, again. The wood filler has dried, he assures me. It still looks terrible. I make it clear that for $1,000 apiece, these had better look perfect. Even better would be having a perfect frame the first time! Or the second time! Or even the third time! He agrees to remake this frame, which is what he should have done in the first place. Dec 12: The second frame is ready, completely remade this time. It looks great. He charges me full price and I bite my tongue so that I don't say something I regret. I pay and leave to close this chapter as quickly as possible. I get home and hang the second piece next to the first and (to add insult to injury) I find that the wires are not the same height/tension and the pieces don't sit at the same height. What a joke! Overall, very disappointing customer service and standards - combined with extraordinary prices - means this business is not for me.

This is just not my favorite company to buy printing supplies. They are OK, but their prices on mesh yardages are too expensive, and staff not very helpful. They say 'go to the website' but the website doesn't list prices, and doesn't even load like a regular webpage, instead it's all just full of annoying PDFs of product lists where you have to consistently wait to download. Also the website is not intuitive at all, very labyrinthine to find what you are looking for. To be honest, I will deal with the shipping from Victory Factory in NY if I can get mesh for a third of the price from a nice supplier.

Using a cleaning pen, it brought back a shine that we hadn't noticed in a while even with infrequent cleanings. Then he gave us the pen because of their COVID policy. He looked through a loupe and found some comparably sized diamond and showed us some rings from his display case to give us an idea on where kind of expense we might be looking at. I am not amending or deleting my review of yesterday regarding my call with this business. Rather,…read moreI am posting this as a supplement based on my long call with the same business today and to inform the public about their business changes. In the response to my original review, "Will" (who I understood to be the owner of the business, as represented on Yelp) suggested that I cool off and call them back to let them explain what is going on with their services and prices. After thinking about that, and based on my long very good relationship with Will over the years, I decided to take him up on the offer. Today I called ComputerUSA again. The woman I spoke with yesterday answered the phone. I asked to speak with Will, the owner. She told me Will was not available and that he is no longer the owner of the company, that she is now the owner. I expressed surprised because, during our call yesterday, she confirmed that Will was the owner and that she would become the owner "very soon". [I would note that, at least twice during our conversation today, she said she was "not happy to have to say that she is the owner of the business". What???] When I noted that discrepancy, she simply responded that she is the owner. We then had a call that lasted about an hour. That call was, at times, confusing, challenging, enlightening and very disappointing. But, it was very valuable at the end. We first discussed my question from yesterday about the planned future of the company. After again noting is was their initial intention to close the business, she said they decided to restructure the business and make it profitable. Without rehashing most of what was said, the bottom line is they are COMPLETELY changing the business model for ComputerUSA and the company we have used for years no longer exists. If she had made that more clear yesterday, we would have had a shorter and less antagonistic call. [I think that this is one of the best uses of Yelp - to let others know that a business they have been using is changing dramatically.] Yesterday we discussed 4 different services I currently get from ComputerUSA: security, remote access, Microsoft program support (for me, Office 365) and backup services. Yesterday she seemed to confirm they would continue those 4 services, but for substantially increased costs: $110 a month versus my current payment of $25.99 per month (an increase of 400%). Today that changed. Today she said they have decided to no longer offer back-up services to individuals. She claimed that doing back-up in accordance with the current legal requirements is MUCH more complicated and expensive than what ComputerUSA had been doing (she had a few serious criticisms of Will). Thus, they will not offer it going forward. Today she also said they have decided that they will not offer support services from Microsoft programs - she really dislikes Microsoft and doesn't want to deal with them. She did say that would continue to offer the security and remote access services to individuals (at a significantly increased cost), but very clearly "WARNED" me that they will likely discontinue the remote services in the next 6 months. That leaves only one service going forward. Thus, as she recommended, I need to research an alternative provider for the services (and she claimed there are many out there). So the bottom line is they are significantly changing the business model, which they of course have every right to do. It would have been good if they had been more clear about that. Looking at some of the earlier Yelp reviews for ComputerUSA I see many people who had the same very successful relationship with the former ComputerUSA as I did. I and my husband used their services for MANY years. I really enjoyed working with Will, Chris and all of the staff. They were friendly, helpful, very capable, responsive, etc., but that no longer exists. At the end of our call she noted that she does not want to do business with me as a client going forward. And she suggested I probably don't want to be doing business with her. On that we were in complete agreement. So, for those of you that have used ComputerUSA in the past, know going forward that company and their services no longer exists. Caveat emptor.
