I returned his greetign and walked to the mens section . I walked up and down the isle ,looking for mens slippers,and noticed that they had a clearance rack in the back near the bathrooms. I walked to the back and searched the racks for slippers in my size. I then looked up and noticed that the security guard had walked to the back of the store , to watch what I was doing. As a senior in my late 60's , I felt offended that he decided that he needed to watch me shop. As I then strolled to the door, the cashier asked me if I found what I was looking for. I told her what my intent was when I walked int he store, but have elected to not purchase anything due to their "selective surveillance" polices. I'm sure that no one told that security guard that his job was to follow customers. In the current climate where thieves are running in and snatching merchandise and walking out, why did he decide to watch me? The manager blamed the security company that was contracted by their corporate office for his behavior. In essence do not shop here if you think that you are the wrong race. Their inventory has fallen off and not worth the trip.

Just because the establishment plays hip-hop music and the like doesn't mean that workers should feel comfortable having personal conversations at the register. In other words it's not a club. That's what happened at this location. To make things more agonizing every available staff member used one register. Why? When you see more than one person waiting, and the wait is long because you have to make sure the shoes are correct inside the box etc, why not open another register? Crazy.
