DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY"! I scheduled a move for gym equipment and SPECIFICALLY told Carmen EXACTLY how detailed the job would be. She PROMISED me, her people had "experience" with my specific gym sustem before. I even sent her a picture of the gym system and a link for it. She reassured me her people had the experience and the right tools to move it, so I scheduled a day. Turns out, "her experienced people" has had ZERO experience moving gym equipment EVER and her people LITERALLY told this to my husband when they got to my house and were CLUELESS as to what to do! I texted Carmen back, she text me trying to save her ASS, saying the crew she sent out "wasn't qualified" but she could send out another crew later in the day! WHHHYYY would she even send out an incompetent crew to BEGIN WITH! Let alone, THINK I would ACTUALLY wait around ANOTHER FOUR HOURS for her 2nd round of incompetent people to move my equipment!? The phone conversation DIDN'T get any better as she PRETENDED not to be the person I originally scheduled with and then she wouldn't even come to a middle ground of taking responsibility for her own actions and flat out LIES she told me about her people's "experience and knowledge". She refused to compensate the cost, while I offered to pay for transportation fees! I included the texts for you to decide for yourself but I will NEVER recommend this "business" and I WILL be telling EVERYONE I know about my HORRIBLE experience with Carpe Diem Moving!

Scratched stairs

Had them move my stuff back in my house. I didn't have very much stuff and the still manages to damage stuff in my house. Use dolly to bring thing upstairs instead of asking his co worker for help and chipped and scratch up new wood floors i just had put in 2 months prior, also dropped a table while bring it in to kitchen, dropped it and hit and dented the corner of a wall. They refuse to take responsibility for the stuff they did.

Thorough, efficient, highly professional. Would book again if I had to move again!…read more For help moving mostly just my large items (couch, bed, tables, etc) into a third floor elevator-less 1b1b apartment on a hot Texas June morning, Marlin and Gary with DFW moving company were exactly what I was seeking. Workflow: - straightforward online form instead of trying to make a phone call during business hours while at work - email confirmation right after submitting form and again two days prior to the move - as described in their email, on the morning of, I received a phone call within an hour before, informing me that they were on the way - they arrived just before the scheduled time (I was their first move of the day) - I had packed the things I wanted them to move in advance, so I showed them the piles of things I wanted them to move - we signed the contract (all the things I expected + insurance option, with the default basic option as a price per weight reimbursement for any damaged items) - without even having to say much to each other they knew where to start - wrapped all the big furniture in blankets and duct tape - couch cushions were temporarily a little squished as they do during a move, but there were no damages to anything - after the move, I verified that everything had been moved and signed the post-move part of the contract Pros: - perfect workflow for a zellenial who's used to ordering things online and they magically appear - the team understood that my goal was to stay within the 3h, told me it was definitely reasonable, and were ultimately able to accomplish it - paid in cash and exactly as quoted (minus the $75 deposit) with no surprise fees and no extra charge for supplies or gas or stairs

I used this company twice, and this last time, I had a lot of furniture that was damaged. What…read moremakes it worse is that the movers tried to hide the broken parts, so I didn't see it until after they left (and I paid). When I called the office and spoke to Glen, he asked me to send photos of the damage, which I did. Then he ghosted me -- and blocked my number. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Zero accountability, terrible customer service, and an owner who blocks paying customers when his employees break things. I attached a few pictures of some the items that were damaged. There were more, but the speakers, you can't see the damage -- they just don't work anymore -- and we all saw the mover drop it. And there was also a recliner that was severely damaged. It's a shame when new, bad owners ruin a company. @ Anna -- In response to your comment, I am posting a copy of my reservation confirmation and two of my invoices, with identifying info redacted. And Anna - y'all blocked my number. I've tried calling many, many times.

This was my third time using their service to move a 1B1B apartment. The first two times went fine…read more-- each took about 3 to 3.5 hours, and that's why I trusted them again. But this time? Total disaster. They charged me almost 8 HOURS for the exact same size move. From 9 AM to 4:45 PM -- are you kidding me? They didn't even start moving until around 9:20 or 9:30, and then moved like they were taking a casual stroll in the park. I asked them why this time was so ridiculously slow compared to the last two. Their excuse? "No elevator" at my old place and "your stuff is in small boxes and bags." That is complete nonsense. My new place has an elevator, and I used larger boxes this time to make it easier -- unlike the last move where neither location had elevators. And yet, that move only took 3.5 hours. There is no possible reason this one should take nearly EIGHT HOURS unless you're deliberately dragging your feet. And get this -- I even helped them move! I literally carried stuff myself while they moved slowly and inefficiently. When I brought this up to their supervisor, instead of acknowledging the poor service, he blamed me and said I had "too many things." Give me a break. It's a 1B1B -- and you guys have moved it twice before in half the time! I even attached a photo comparing the invoices from both moves -- one was 3.5 hours, this one nearly 8. Their supervisor had the audacity to say he'd refund me for 1 hour if I didn't leave a bad review -- that tells you everything you need to know. He knew it was shady but just wanted to shut me up. Avoid Leader Movers at all costs. They've clearly gotten lazy and greedy -- working slow just to pad the bill while pretending everything is normal. I'm furious and disappointed. Never again.

All documentation was provided on time, and the movers arrived as scheduled. I had my items moved from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, Texas in a POD. Unfortunately, my TV was damaged during the move (unclear if it was from the POD, but I doubt that since the TV was against the king size mattress). One of the movers later stated that he had noticed damage to the TV box when he unloaded the tv from POD but did not bring it to my attention at the time, which was very disappointing. However, the owner Joey, took the situation seriously and handled it with genuine empathy and accountability. I was extremely frustrated from the move (it's really a lot to handle) and Joey was kind and patient as he listed to me explain what happened. He suspended the team member involved, made it clear that he wanted to put the customer first, and worked with me to make things right. After I provided the original receipt for my TV, he sent me a check for its full original purchase price and did not waste time to go through insurance. I didn't buy additional insurance, so at most if Joey had went through insurance, I would have received $40/$50 back for my tv at $0.60/lb. He said he wanted to make sure we reached an agreement that felt fair. I truly appreciate Joey's customer first mindset. Although the damage was frustrating, I greatly appreciated how Joey responded. He's been in business for 25 years and stated that accidents happen and what he cares for the most is customer satisfaction. His integrity, compassion, and willingness to stand behind his company ultimately left me with a positive impression. I would highly recommend Eagle Movers and I will definitely be using their services again in the future!

No time was wasted, they had to climb to the third floor and did it as fast as humanly possible. The price is competitive amongst other movers I reached out too. I can't say enough good things about this company and their employees…read more Setting the appointment was a breeze and the move itself was flawless. Very nice workers, a strong work ethic and good manners. "Yes maam" goes a long way with me. AND the actual cost was significantly less than the quote I agreed to. Firehouse Movers is who I'll call with any future moves.

BEWARE - BAIT-AND-SWITCH PRICING!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this company deserves one. I chose Firehouse Movers because of their glowing Google reviews, and their initial estimate was very competitive. Unfortunately, the final bill was a complete shock. To begin with, they insisted on a virtual estimate and refused to come out in person and assess the job. This was a 5000 sq ft home full of furniture, and I wanted the most accurate estimate possible. I asked multiple times for an in-person estimate, but my requests were declined. By moving day, I had sold two-bedroom sets and several other large pieces of furniture that were included in the original estimate. Even with significantly fewer items to move, the final price was more than double the original estimate. On the day of the move, I somehow went from needing two trucks, as stated in the estimate, to four. And from 9 to 17 total man hours. At the end of a long day, my husband just wanted them gone, so he reluctantly paid the bill before they could log anymore hours. When I called to discuss the bill, Firehouse claimed I had verbally approved the additional associated costs over the phone, citing a recording, which was completely false. I have asked multiple times for this recording, but I have not received it. That was not a small miscalculation. Our move was grossly underestimated. This whole experience felt misleading and dishonest. Stay away.
