I read other reviews that said this place was very expensive, but we arrived around 4pm in the afternoon and didn't feel like the prices were bad at all. This place is great for younger kids. They have bumper boats, batting cages, two water slides, mini golf, and a wading pool. Older kids and teens could also enjoy the amenities, but maybe for a shorter period of time. The food is pretty solid and they have ton of options. Their ice cream and topping selection was incredible. The staff is all really young, but so sweet and helpful. I loved all of my interactions with the staff and thought the service was great. read more

Our trip to Carousel Water & Fun Park was a complete disaster from start to finish. If you're thinking about visiting--don't. Save yourself the frustration, and your wallet. First off, this place is the definition of nickel and diming. Everything costs extra. You pay admission, and then suddenly you're being hit with separate fees for everything imaginable--go-karts? Extra. Mini golf? Extra. Water slides? Guess what? Extra. Even breathing near the snack stand probably costs something. It's honestly insulting how transparent the gouging is. But the most ridiculous part? Parents aren't allowed to supervise their own kids in the pool area unless they pay $15 just to sit there. That's right--you're not even planning to swim, but if you want to make sure your 8-year-old doesn't drown or get pushed around by rowdy teens, you're forced to fork over more money. I've been to dozens of parks across the country, and I've never seen such a blatantly greedy policy. The staff seemed more interested in checking wristbands and making sure you weren't getting too much for your money than actually making the experience enjoyable. The facilities were dated, cleanliness was borderline, and there's zero sense of value or hospitality. For a place that markets itself as a family destination, it sure seems like families are the last thing they care about--unless you're willing to empty your pockets at every turn. We were just over the border in Narrowsburg, and weren't going to make it back to the hotel in Honesdale before the other ice cream place closes at 9:00pm. Can't miss this place on Beach Lake Hgwy, saw some families outside a window and assumed ice cream was on the menu. The only sign we saw said "water park" but also peeped a chalkboard that had the word "toppings" so we pulled in. Glad we did. The ice cream was really good, great variety, great toppings, amazing service from people who care. And the place was very clean. My barometer is mint chip and peanut butter. These flavors were great. Grabbed a menu on the way because now we'll have to stop in for breakfast tomorrow. read more

Went here as a kid. It was cool to return with my kids decades later. Very well maintained grounds and facilities. Kids loved the go-karts best. Batting cages were old style, couldn't adjust speed, so it was tough for my younger boys to catch up to the pitches. Overall a good time. Would recommend if you're in the area. If you plan to spend any amount of time here, the day pass is probably the best deal. Individual rides are kind of expensive. Good ice cream! read more

Terrible experience. Please save your money. Despite being expensive and not offering all that much, we decided to bring our families there because they have a small wading pool for the younger kids. Along with my siblings, we paid around $600 for our families. The kids immediately went to the waterslides and my wife sat on the picnic table watching the kids in the water. After a few minutes the lifeguard made a comment about my wife not having a wristband. We explained that shes only watching and we were told when we checked in that she didnt need one. On top of that, they gave us multiple tickets that said "slide passenger" that we were told were for the adults to "catch" the kids coming out of the slides if needed. I asked the lifeguard if she waded out to the slide to "catch a kid" that would be ok but to sit on the picnic table was no good? He then told us he has never seen those tickets and was worried the owner would scream at him for allowing her to sit on the bench. I told him to call the owner if it was a problem and I would speak to them- which he did. The owner soon responded and said it was ok for my wife to sit 4 feet to the right- or just outside the fence and watch, but would have to pay $15 to sit on the picnic bench. Keep in mind that we are the ONLY people in the whole park and their pricing says $15- wading pool. Nothing about general admission. I explained to the owner that we had just spend $600 and it was unreasonable to expect us to pay another $15 for nothing. The owner insisted we pay and I declined and requested a refund. She obliged and refunded all of our money. From a business perspective I think she could have handled it better but thats on her and I'm fine if thats what the owners want to do. We left and went to Costas Family Fun Park where we got more for our money, had a great time, we were treated like they wanted us there. This place is poorly run, mis-managed, and gives you little value for your money. Dont go and waste your money. Head to Costas, have a great day with your kids, and don't even consider this place. read more

Awful ice cream, service and terribly overpriced. The ice cream was sour, we order two kid cones and they were the size of a thumb and was very overpriced . When we asked if they gave us the right sizes they were rude. My brother and his girlfriend went there at another date and there was a full bus of camp counselors and the place was busy, the proceed to close the door and did not serve them after a lengthy wait. read more

Stopped by there last night with my friend for a burger. The place is cleaned up nicely and the service was very good. I ordered a hamburger with mushrooms the only other thing I had wanted on it was ketchup which I assumed would come with the meal. I was shocked to see on the bill that they charged me $.25 for ketchup that they applied themselves. I can understand charging for mushrooms but for ketchup that's just nickel and dimeing people. How much could a bottle of ketchup cost? Normally in restaurants you see them on the table. Otherwise everything else was fine. But I think they should realize they're charging you to put a condiment on your sandwich. That's just tacky. read more
