My wife, Helen, and I, just moved to Hawley and one of our first to-do's was to find a great ice cream place. We tried several but Gresham is simply hands down the best! The staff are incredibly polite and helpful. The ice cream is simply awesome! They make the best malts (chocolate and strawberry are my favourites) and sundaes of any ice cream spot in the Poconos! We have become instant fans and, even though we are on a seniors budget, we still have enough to enjoy a trip to Gresham's! Please, keep up your wonderful service and products! read more

The servers are always so kind. Went on opening day for the season and was surprised/disappointed at how small the portions are now and how expensive my order came out to. I enjoy stopping here for the scenery but would travel the extra mile up the road for a bigger portion at the same price. I hope this is only temporary. read more

Stopped by for a sweet treat while in town to visit the fam. It has been a long time, but they still serve hot caramel sundaes and the best vanilla soft serve. We stayed at East Shore Lodging and this ice cream place is literally around the corner from our room! They have a lot of different flavors available even some dairy free options. I ended up getting a banana split because it's my favorite and it was really great! They were pretty busy when we got there but they kept things moving fairly well. The best part is when you get your ice cream you can go for a walk across the Lake Wallenpaupack dike for some amazing views! I would definitely recommend stopping by this place! read more

On 4th of July my family and I went to watch the firework show. Soon after the fireworks we rushed over to the Gresham ice cream shop & they were closed. Closing time was @10 pm and it was 9:50 pm. Everything was closed and shut off. It was the busiest night & they refused to stay open until the 10 pm time. The lady had no response when I asked why they were closed early. read more

Gresham's is a decent ice cream shop that's stood the test of time in this vacation town. It's over priced but I suppose that's to be expected; they know people will pay it. The ice cream is good, but the service varies. I have been here many times, and I've experienced very drastic levels of professionality and rudeness with the staff. One time they miscalculated my order by around $8. I brought the price miscalculation to their attention, and they were incredibly rude and unreceptive, and the price was begrudgingly recalculated. The rudeness was completely unwarranted, as I pointed out the pricing issue and remained calm. It is pricey ice cream to begin with for what it is-- it is Hershey's hard ice cream, not like it is made in house. read more

This place is horrible!!! My family and I used to be great customers and they were great... They have new owners and they are TERRIBLE. They took money from a customer and then made my cone without wearing gloves. I mentioned this to her and asked her if i can have another cone and the ladies answer was WE WASH OUR HANDS PLEASE DONT COME BACK HERE EVER AGAIN! I couldn't believe she said this to me. Wish I could do zero stars. The first thing I wanted, they didn't have. The second thing I wanted they didn't have. I then asked if they had a size smaller than small and they said baby size. The ice cream was great but the older dark haired woman that waited on us was nasty when I requested a receipt. She stated "email or text receipt". When I asked her for a paper receipt she shoved the iPad point of sale thing in my face and yelled " see - email or text only!" Friendly and fast service, huge portions for a very reasonable price, and a massive variety of items. There are tables to sit out and enjoy or you can take your ice cream across the street and sit with a scenic view of the lake. I recommend the Dole Whip twist - pineapple and orange. It's amazing.
