I hate to do this, but the food was so disappointing, I have to warn others. Don't get me wrong. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is really nice. When we got there on a Thursday around 2, the dining room had about 4 people there. There was also a bright outdoor seating area which looked great. Basically, this restaurant is set up to be a good experience -- except for the food. I had the falafel platter (almost $19). My husband had the gyro platter (an eye-popping $25!). My hubby shared his Greek salad and bread. A-OK so far, but then things went down hill. My falafel was mushy and flavorless. The side of babaganoush was also flavorless. The pita was cold. The side of steamed veggies was bland. No sauce, no seasonings. I felt sorry for locals who think this food is actually falafel. They need to taste REAL falafel because this was a poor imitation. The gyro plate came with plain rice and more steamed veggies. Sorry to use the word "bland" again. We got the salmon pasta to go ($34) for a friend which came with more steamed veggies. I get the feeling they steam a huge pot of veggies and just put it on every plate. The menu is pretty simple. The same things in different rearranged order. I get the feeling the "chef" is staying away from more complicated dishes. It's probably for the best, because as simple as the food is, it's still below par. I'm a Greek American. Been to Greece many times. Lived in Astoria Queens, in NYC, the center of Green Town USA. Eaten a lifetime of Greek food. And this is not it.

Stopped in with some friends for dinner around 7pm on a Friday. The restaurant was packed, but luckily a big table opened up when we got there so we didn't wait too long to get seated. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki and was surprisingly blown away by the side of Caesar salad. The dressing is homemade and it was delicious. Although the side salad was pretty big, it left me wanting more. It may have been one of the best Caesar salads I've had. The Chicken Souvlaki was solid. The chicken was tender, but nothing to write home about. I was disappointed by the side of plain boiled veggies. Big portions for every dish so I recommend sharing if you're not too hungry. If you can't decide what to order and love a good salad, I recommend going with the Caesar as your main dish. You won't regret it!

Once again the Gyro special never lets me down! They are delicious, fresh, and gigantic!!! Always a great place to eat authentic Greek food!

Cute little cafe serving up some great coffee and delicious food. We spent about $40 for breakfast…read moreso I would consider it more than a to-go type of place. Unfortunately, the 3/5 stars is for (1) Not having any tap/filter water available. I bought water but it's just not a sustainable practice. (2) Not just not having a bathroom for customers but the attitude I got when I just inquired about both things... We were going to grab a couple cookies on the way out, but just ended up leaving.

4.5 A close friend…read moresuggested we take the 20-minute drive from the place we were staying to this spot, and it was well worth it. The place is well-lit, clean, and has a nice, chill vibe. The staff is super friendly, always smiling, and they all seem to enjoy being there. Food-wise, we got coffee, the Early Bird sandwich (sausage, egg, and cheddar on a biscuit), and another biscuit with jam (sorry, no pic). The biscuits are square, flaky, and buttery. The jam appeared to be homemade mixed berry, and it was really tasty. The SEC was also really good--pairing those buttery, flaky biscuits with sausage patties, cheddar, and egg made for breakfast perfection! If you're an avocado lover, the Early Bird should be your go-to, as they give you at least half an avocado. There are two drawbacks to the Walk In: 1) It's not a place with many seats. They have three tables and some counter space, so if you're planning to eat there, be warned. 2) I wish they had more bakery items besides biscuits, bagels, and cookies (which are also really good). They had a neon artwork of a croissant that wasn't lit up, so maybe they used to serve them but don't anymore? Overall, though, thumbs up! If you're ever in the Livingston Manor area, check them out.
