Waiting at the bar for our seating
    Bryan R.

We went on my Birthday night , with our company Christmas party of 50ppl. We had called & emailed the restaurant in advanced & ask for the upper section that is a semi private room. We arrived at 7pm and waited for them to seat us. After 2 hours of waiting at the bar ordering drinks & appetizers. The restaurant management said that they were unprepared for us, so they the Cancelero restaurant said they were now canceling our parties reservation. This was shocking !!! after waiting so long and patiently, to be turned away. This caused us to cancel our Company Christmas party. -- Update / 2 days later we were back to dine for our Christmas party at Texas de Brazil at Dolphin mall.

We were here on a Sunday night before leaving on a cruise. We were leary about a steak place in a strip mall, but there wasn't much else open. We were surprised to find a 30-40 minute wait when we arrived. We ended up sitting at the bar for dinner, and I feel like it was the best spot! Dinner and a show because it's an open kitchen type atmosphere AND the bartenders crafting the cocktails was so much fun to watch! I feel like the staff was busy and working non-stop and seemed to be enjoying their jobs. Javier was our bartender/server and was great! My husband had a special which seemed like a take on Shepherds pie- Tambor de Papa. He loved it! I had sliced pork tenderloin and a side salad and we split French fries. Everything was top notch, including the cocktails. Wish I lived closer so I could try more items. Note they added 18% gratuity to bill. Not sure if this is common in Miami, but just so you are aware. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good about this place! Went for the second time this weekend! I wish I lived closer but this will be a regular for me any time I'm in Miami . From drinks to the apps to entrees and dessert... Everything was made with love! Everything was so flavorful, high quality meats, packed with deliciousness. For apps we had beef carpaccio, tambon papa, and the ceviche. Everything was delicious but some said the ceviche was too salty. My fave was the beef carpaccio. Our waitress said we had to try the wagyu tartar next time and we will take her up on that recommendation! For dinner we had wagyu burger, pollo la Lena, churassco and more. Everyone was really happy with their meals. Drinks were top notch. Wake up Pedro was perfection! Highly recommend the basque cheesecake and potentially dessert. The cafe bonbon was also delicious end to the night. Ambiance was everything we wanted. So many photo ops and such a beautiful space. It's pretty unexpected with this venue set next to a supermarket. The staff was really friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Yumm!! Amazing drinks & food. You would never expect this beautiful restaurant in a strip mall. Cocktails were a must order I would come back just to sit at the bar. Our favorite was the smokey butter with the bread it was delicious. The Caesar salad was also a must order. It did have alot of dressing for my taste but i just scraped some off. Churrasco was tasty and cooked medium just how i ordered it. The filet mignon was ok it was butterfly cut which we were told before hand but it was just missing something. Service was fantastic! Our server was Harold he was great! Make reservations online they fill up quick.

The food here is top notch and doesn't break the bank!! Been here twice and both times it's been a bit with the family. The presentation and taste of the food has been very consistent, rivals some of the more expensive restaurants. My meal was prepared incredibly well, good portion, and was delicious. We dabbled with their appetizers as well. The croquetas were very good. Small order but definitely plan on adding another. Also their Wagyu Carpaccio was incredible. So definitely worth indulging. This is strictly a beer/wine establishment and no hard liquor is served.

ad a great experience at Carnicero Steakhouse! I went with my boyfriend and two other friends, and everything from start to finish was on point. The food and drinks were delicious, and the customer service was fast and attentive. Our server Enrique was great, and Victor was also very helpful, quickly picking up plates we no longer needed. Perfect spot for a nice dinner with good company. We'll definitely be back

When I tell you amazing , AMAZING. Service, food, presentation and ambience were so warming. I would definitely comeback here. Prices are very good for the quality of food you're eating. I mean I prefer this any day over STK , Morton lol. All food is cooked to perfection and has such a yummy taste. My fav was the ham croquettes 10/10. I also had the Wagyu churrasco so flavorful 100/10. The boniato puree very tasty. Drinks were good and our server Jordi was super helpful. I haven't bump into a place like this in a while. Hidden gem !!

Great place for meats, the wine we had was really good. At the beginning service was a little slow, but then it got better. I recommend making a reservation.

We started with the bone marrow appetizer, and it was truly outstanding -- incredibly balanced, rich without being overwhelming, and so good we couldn't stop talking about it. We ordered the steak and eggs. The crunchy brioche, earthy mushroom purée, and beautifully sliced steak came together perfectly, and the saltiness of the caviar tied everything together in a really thoughtful way. The picanha was another standout! incredibly tender and full of flavor. We paired it with the broccolini and wagyu fat potatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the ube cheesecake empanada. We were a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. The cocktails throughout the night were also excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought friends back later the same week. That visit was just as impressive -- we ordered the tomahawk steak, garden salad, bone marrow (again!), steak and eggs, truffle fries, broccolini, carrots, and tried all of the desserts. Once again, everything was delicious across the board. The only area for improvement would be the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, but at times too quick to clear plates and not proactive enough with the next course. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the dessert menu to be offered immediately after plates are cleared, rather than needing to track down a server. Overall, the food is exceptional, and we'll absolutely be back.

Overall, we felt that all the food…read morewas good- definitely had areas of improvement, What bridged the rating gap of the experience was the above and beyond service of the general manager Javier, our waiter and the bartenders. We chose the tasting menu at the counter. The execution of the initial dishes in the tastings were well seasoned. But quickly it was clear that given the restaurant was becoming busy and the food service and the drink pairings were not in sync. Part of a tasting experience is being wowed and enjoying the progression of dishes as you would a performance. Javier and our waiter in particular made sure by the end to ensure our experience was smoothed out. One note about the tasting experience is it lacked a certain level of finesse. While the service team did explain the dishes beautifully, it would have been nice for the chef to come out and explain even one of the dishes, especially with a restaurant that has the potential to share a rich background in history about the dishes and flavors. I found that to be particularly surprising that was not the case. In all of the tastings we have participated in (NY, Paris, Miami, Barcelona, Rome, Shanghai...) the chef has always come by even if for a second and it's in those moments that you really get a sense of the passion and the experience of a tasting. After all the origin story is the thread that would have pulled the elements together. It would have elevated this from an average to a more memorable experience. Overall, the food was solid, but regrettably not memorable. There are certainly elements that can benefit from workshopping (timing, chef engagement, consistent execution of dishes) however would be remiss if I didn't shout out Javier and our waiter for their receptiveness and making a positive end to the evening.

The wedge salad followed, crisp and refreshing with just the right balance of richness and acidity. For the mains, the experience really elevated. I had the tomahawk steak, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the better steaks I've had in Miami. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and this dish deserves special mention: it wasn't just ravioli with a hint of lobster--it actually featured generous, large pieces of lobster, which made it feel both indulgent and well worth ordering. A restaurant that still comes to mind months later is usually doing something right, and this visit confirmed what we loved about our first experience. We made reservations without any issues a couple of days before. The restaurant was clean, bright, and had not filled up yet with the busy Sunday family crowd. Upon being seated, we were provided with the regular menu and the Miami Spice Lunch menu. The Miami Spice Lunch, which has now become a daily Executive Lunch special, is a standout value. The portion sizes and the quality of the Argentinian steaks speak for themselves. As a group, here's what we ordered: Starters - Ham and Cheese Empanadas - Morcilla - Grilled Provolone Each starter delivered exactly what you'd expect from an Argentinian steakhouse. The empanadas were warm and flaky, the morcilla was rich and well seasoned, and the grilled provolone came out bubbling and perfect for sharing amongst our table with the restaurant's complementary bread basket. Entrée: - New York Strip Steak, 12 oz This was the only cut of steak we ordered. It was cooked to each of our desired temperatures and seasoned simply, letting the quality of the beef speak for itself. It is clear why La Cabrera has a reputation as one of Latin America's best restaurants. Sauces on the side, which included a BBQ sauce, and a chimichurri, were left for our choosing and were used for the side dishes more than anything. Sides: - French Fries - Jasmine Rice Both sides complemented the steak well. The fries were crispy and large in size. My father-in-law, a cuban man who's very serious about his rice dishes, thought the jasmine rice was very good. Dessert: - Dulce de Leche Ice Cream with Cone - Dulce de Leche Pancakes The ice cream was smooth and rich, while the pancakes were finished with a sugary powder coating that was impossible to resist. This lunch reinforced why La Cabrera continues to be stand out in a crowded field of steakhouses. Between the consistency, generous portions, and the value of their daily menu specials, it's an easy recommendation whether you're bringing family, hosting someone from out of town, or simply looking for a great lunch in Coconut Grove.
