So... I kind of feel like people often forget that there's a Carl's Jr. on Maui. It's kind of in a weird location -- connected to a gas station convenience store and next door to a mini golf course / "amusement center." Maybe it's just me. Now I don't know where I first initially saw it, but I saw fellow Yelper Haley K. post about their new yummy froot loops concoction and I just had to have it. I love sweets ya'll and I was on a mission like Toucan Sam to get my hands on these bright, shiny mini donuts. You won't find it on the drive thru menu though for some odd reason, but this location has it. Maybe they want to keep it a secret so people like me can gobble it all up because I popped one of those babies in my mouth and oh my laaaawd, it was glorious! Was I eating cereal? Was I eating a donut? So good. My only regret was buying just one precious box *tears.* Why?! I must redeem myself. I must get more. I must have these in my life... I might just go again today. When my sweety suggested we grab burgers from Carl's Jr. a few Sundays ago, I got excited because I thought I had coupons. I always have coupons lol. Sad to say they expired but it was okay. We got the western bacon cheese burger, the teriyaki burger and the guacamole burger. All were delicious. I forgot how big their burgers were. I think I've only eaten at this Carl's Jr. once since moving back to the islands. The not so little one got a chocolate shake and it was so good, his parents drank most of it lol. Service was great and the dining area was clean which was great. My only regret is not trying the froot loop donuts that Maria raved about so we will have to try it next time :) Check it out! read more

On our way to Haycraft beach we wanted to stop by and get some Carl's Jr. as we don't come this way very often. Located at Ma'alaea near the Maui Ocean Center. Drive-thru or eat inside. We went through the drive-thru because there was a long line inside. Lady at the window was very nice and quick. Asked if we needed any sauces before we left. Which I appreciate because I always forget to ask for ketchup. FOOD: Taco Salad with Chicken($9.49)[W/beef: $8.99, W/steak: $9.99]: Comes with lettuce, guacamole, pico de Gallo, salsa, sour cream and beans-which I left out. They put a lot of chicken in here. Some chunks and some shredded so you get a piece in every bite. I really enjoyed this. Would love some jalapeños added though. #6 "The Big Carl"($7.39 burger only, $9.89 combo): Husband got this and said it was pretty good, but he should've added some bacon. Fries weren't fresh, but not too bad. They weren't soggy. Total was about $23. Didn't get my receipt. I also wanted to try their biscuits and gravy, but only available for breakfast. Hot Day'um!!!! GTHOMW! = "Get the hell outta my way" when Bruddah Fran is hangry!!!! After being up at 5 am yesterday, and running around all day long on Maui, I finally had my 1st meal of the day at 4:45 pm at this Carl's Jr. / Green Burrito yesterday. Man, I was so crazeeeeeee hungry, and I realized I just had to stop by someplace and get something to eat & drink, because I was just burning that midnight oil by now! This particular Carl's Jr. / Green Burrito is located in a "Circle K" gas station / convenience store. I pass by this gas station all the time, when I head over to Lahaina to do work for a few of my customers. I know I've eaten at this particular Carl's Jr. many moons ago, but what I did not know was that they also started serving Mexican food here. Upon pulling into the gas station, I head on into the convenience store, and goto the left where the restaurant was located. Upon looking over the Mexican food selection, I decided to get the Fish Taco platter which consisted of two fish tacos in a soft tortilla wrapper, rice, beans, & some tortilla chips. A drink also is included with this meal, and it came out to a paltry ($9.88), DEALAGES Yo!!! What can I say about the grub??? Gang, just take a quick look at my grindages.........what cha' think man???? Pretty ono looking huh? Well, maybe my taste buds were a bit skewed by the time I started to eat, as it was almost 12 hours past, from the time I got up & went to work...........and finally stopping to eat. Lol! The fish loaded into the taco was your basic deep fried fish that you would get in a Carl's Jr. fish burger, but the other ingredients they put in the taco was at least fresh! I also like it that they had an open "Salsa Bar" where I could load up all kinds of condiments with my fish taco platter. My fish taco platter sure filled me up, and surely hit da spot for me! MENU: This location has a very limited menu. Certain options listed on the website are not available. Call before heading down. FOOD: The Big Carl - This was honestly one of the best cheeseburgers I've eaten from a fast-food place on Maui. It's almost up there with the Double Double from In N Out. Almost. Original Six Dollar Thickburger - More like $11+ for the combo. The 1/2 lb., single patty burger had great flavor and is topped with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayo. Super Star with Cheese - Very similar in size to Jack In The Box's Ultimate Cheeseburger. The taste was a cross between a Quarter Pounder and Whopper. It was loaded with pickles, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce, then lathered with mayo, and their "special sauce" which tasted like mustard/ketchup. Wow, I was FULL after eating this beast! Crisscut Fries - Seasoned fries shaped like little waffles. Good flavor but not as tasty as JITB's version. SERVICE: Semi-fast and friendly. OVERALL: Super pricey! My opinion, they are kinda of junk for fast food. We came by because the drive to Lahaina would be too long and we would be starving by the time we reached town for food. And Carl's Jr. Is conveniently situated between Lahaina and Kahului so we stopped here. My family ordered criss-cut fries, chicken tenders, zucchini fries and what was suppose to be another order of chicken tenders was accidentally ordered as a California dbl burger. (Or something like that. ) Well food is food so we didn't change it after the fact. The food was served hot, which is nice. But almost $10 for a little burger I got was not worth the price. The zucchini fries were an upgrade and the breading just fell off everytime. I dont recommend the upgrade. The fries were the only saving grace. It was crispy with each bite. I can't review the food, this is for service , rather lack of service. On our way to Lahaina, I asked my husband to stop so I could get a Lemonade . He was going to go through the drive through but I said I don't want to wait behind a bunch of food orders; big mistake. I went inside. There was a couple waiting for food and I saw saw several car orders go out before they got theirs. I figured she would take my order then but she went to the register at the convince store. I guess they cover both parts but I was there long before that customer came in. She rings him up, comes back to the counter, and proceeds to bag more car orders. She looks my way with a blank stare and goes back to French fries. Well that was it for me ! They had served at least 5 more car orders and I walked out. The young man taking drive thru orders was rude and disrespectful. We were surprised at the cost of our order and when inquiring about how much each individual item was he acted defensive and stated that he wasn't lying nor the computer wasn't. Never once did we infer he was lying. The manager Glen Linores wasn't much more helpful either. He refused to give his last name when asked on multiple occasions. As the driver was talking he proceeded to close the window on him. It's unfortunate that customer service isn't a priority when all we wanted to know was how 3 items costed nearly $20. Horrible drive through service. Whoever was working drive through on 9/23/18 at 9:05pm (younger Asian boy) is an idiot. I spoke through the intercom and asked if they had Rainbow Donuts. Teller said they didn't have any.. so I decided to order a taco salad. When we arrived at the window I showed him a photo of the donuts and asked him if they had those. He said, "yes we do". Then I said, "why did you say you didn't have any earlier?" He said verbatim, "Those aren't Rainbow donuts, those are Mini Fruit Loop Donuts. We don't have Rainbow donuts but we have Mini Fruit Loop Donuts" (with an attitude like he was trying to correct me for not knowing the exact name). Seriously, this idiot knew what I was talking about (what other fast food restaurant serve donuts that are rainbow color?).. The seating is tight, lots going on, restrooms is disgusting, and hearing a woman talk about the Woman's Restroom I would say that it was not much better. So this is a tough one to review. On one hand I like Carl's Jr. On the other hand it's in a gas station, which make the food experience harder to enjoy. It has the advantage of being near the Aquarium and the Minigolf entertainment park, which is why it gets the four stars because it becomes the most affordable food option of the three. read more

Love this place!!!!!! Best burgers and consistently nice service. They even offer kama'aina discount. We've been faithful customers for over 10 years and they don't disappoint. I love the consistency that's hard to find in Maui. Recently I discovered that I need to avoid 18 different food items including yeast eggs and canola oil. Do you know how hard that is? Most restaurants get annoyed when I start asking ingredients. Not Carl Jrs!!!! Work a smile the young man grabbed his phone and took pictures of ingredient list so we could figure out what would be ok. Amazing! I was so grateful. Also they are the only restaurant I can find that doesn't use canola oil (they use soybean). OMG!!! Love the fact that I had to travel 5,000 miles to get to Carl's! Thank God there is one here on the island. I settled for the ...can't remember...#1 (?) on the way to the airport and I was so bummed I did not get the double! Yes, that is how delish it was.
