Cupies one of my go to places every once a while when I want a nice treat. Workers are nice and the service is pretty quick in terms of ordering. The area itself can get kinda crowded since it doesn't have the biggest parking space. The tables are outside not in a closed space so it can get hot so I prefer to just do take out most of the time. For me my favorites would be their milkshakes and the badua crepes which are so good. I also really enjoy their chow fun, they got lots of options for local food and breakfast.

    Fries are so good!!

Great casual dining spot with great grinds! Food is on point, portions are what you expect, and clean dining area. Services friendly and patient, especially if you're trying to figure out what you want at the window haha! Don't forget to try a milkshake! There are so many choices!

This is one of our regular places to pick up dinner from. The food is good and we especially like their slushies and other frozen treats. There is covered patio seating available. Orders are placed at a window. Service is fast and friendly.

Special of the day. Pork loin with mushroom and gravy.

One of my go to places in Maui. Fast and delicious. The staff is always friendly . Will always stop by to get a meal to go.

This place looks like it's mostly visited by locals as opposed to tourists. Their soft serve is generously served and their banana bread was warm. I'd love to return and try their burgers or other items since everything people were eating looked and smelled good :))

Big menus filled with lots of variety, I went with the bacon cheeseburger and ube milkshake. Burger was savory & delicious, milkshake was creamy & full of flavor. What a great prices, yo pay for what you get!

Another nostalgic gem to check out while in Wailuku. We were looking for a place to get a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport, and a friend recommended this place - the breaded teriyaki was specifically mentioned as a must-try. So we got a few breaded teriyaki sandwiches, fish n chips, and fried noodles. The son absolutely loved the fried noodles - ate the whole plate before I had a chance to sample some of it! The breaded teriyaki sandwich was good, but I wouldn't consider it one of the best things to eat on Maui. They weren't serving slushies , which was a big disappointment because I've heard a lot of great things about their slushies!

This is a great to go meal. A lot locals eat here. There are so many things on their menu but apparently their signature item is the breaded teriyaki. It's pretty tasty!

No matter how many times it may change owners, the taste of someone who's born and raised on Maui can appreciate the simple home cooking of Cupies, and how it was one of the businesses that really supported its Maui community during the pandemic. I recommend any of their shakes/crepes, and also the breaded teriyaki plate - Miguel Morales Photography

This is a whole in the wall gem. If you're looking for some good shakes. This is the place to go. Fruity Pebble is one of there top items. The Breaded Teri Beef Sandwich is something to try. I would recommend getting some fries with this if you want a complete meal. I will be back to try more items and post more reviews.

So I have eaten here thru pretty much all the different owners. The newest owners I feel are doing a good job of updating a Maui classic dining spot. They have tried to keep as many of the old taste and favorites as well as updating the menu with some new spins. The service is usually very good they are quick and friendly and the food quality has been good. I have had several shakes recently. They are a good value and their ice cream machine almost always works ! Plus eating here I know I'm supporting local. I really like the specials but it's also nice to know they have some of my favorites like the breaded teriyaki or the chili and rice. Or the chow fun. Oh and can't forget the fries with the mustard mayo and ketchup.

We returned to this old favorite because it is usually a consistently good local restaurant. Unfortunately, this time wasn't the best experience. After ordering a meal of 3 crepes , a loco moco and 2 ube shakes we were made to wait 30 minutes for our food to be done. Or rather, our pagerto go off to notify us it was ready. After watching other people get their orders, my husband had to go back to the counter to ask about our food. He was told the moco was done, but they were still waiting on the crepes. Um, what? 5 minutes later, the pager goes off and we receive a warmish moco and completely cold crepes and then had to wait another 5 minutes for the shakes. I don't know if this was a new crew, but improvement is greatly needed.

    All hail Lillikoi!

Ask the Community - Cupies Maui

    What's the ubebangbang?

Jacqueline..... It is on our secret menu. It is our famous Ube Shake with strawberry Pop Rocks in it. Thanks for your question.

Does Cupies now serve shakes as a regular menu item?

Hi Sam thanks for your question. It is kind of a regular item. The Pulehu Steak is a weekly dinner special. it starts at around 6 every Tuesday until it sells out.

Do they serve roast pork daily or is it a weekly special, if so on what day?

    I believe it's a special on Thursdays.

Fast food style service at the counter and similar seating to the left side. And a host station seating diners in more comfortable booths and tables to the other side. I think some items are just slightly more expensive in the full service side? Think the Dennys of Hawaii which my great server agreed to when I told her how excited I was to be there. They have great breakfast all day I think, fried chicken, signature chili(like Nalley's canned only more "Zippy" with seasoning) , and plate lunch style offerings. Some people like their baked goods like malasadas and some cream puff types of things. This isn't the best version ever of these foods but a very reliable quality and portion size at very good prices for Hawai'i. Often more locals than us Haole tourists. We ordered the special Korean fried boneless chicken and rice with a scoop of corn and chili with beans for 13.99$ and I got a large Saimin with char su pork fish cake and choy sum. The noodles was very generous and great broth. A little sparse in the pork but a lot of goodies for sure! My wife kept dipping into my broth..... Her combo was good and she could only eat half. Zippy's itself is quite large. There is a lot of seating and a big parking lot, which was nice. Inside was pretty clean, but nothing special. We ordered online, and it was ready quickly. I also got the lilikoi drink, which was really good. If you guys know what Jollibee is, I think that tops this place pretty easily.

I've been traveling a lot to help with family, and being that I have had great service and help from the crew at Hawaiian Airlines, I chose to take Jollibee sandwiches for those at the airport and the flight crew as a small "thank you" for their help. It's become a little bit of a routine, that the Jollibee crew has come to know me over time as the "big order" of around 3 dozen sandwiches every time I stop by. They have never missed or made an order wrong, and every single person who has received a sandwich has always enjoyed it, and for many of them, it was the first time they ate a Jollibee deluxe chicken sandwich. I have no doubt most will be back for more if there's a Jollibee in reasonable range of where they are. The location has the typical noise level of any fast food location. There is a good amount of seating for parties up to about 10 people, with tables and chairs inside and outside of the restaurant. The restrooms are clean and well kept - always a good sign for any fast food location. I'd like to thank the entire crew for being so accommodating to me every single visit, but especially to thank the RGM - Cherry Leano, the RM - Lanz Valdez, Supervisors - Izy C., Aiza A., Leslee P., and Jesther T. for always doing all they can to make my orders in a very reasonable time, and for always keeping up with anything I need. I know I'll be back quite a bit over the next few years, and I wish for the continued success for each and every person that works at Jollibee Kahului.

It was the size of a small infant head! Let's just start off by saying this was the last day on our trip in Maui and I just wanted something quick and easy and on the cheaper side cause everything has been so expensive. So I looked up the food court and saw that this place had numerous different types of dishes and restaurants within the shopping mall. There's nothing really fancy about this food hall, it pretty much looks like a cafeteria. We come from San Francisco so we're used to food halls being fancy five star blah blah blah. This is definitely a bang for your buck kind of place. I could see that a lot of locals come to this place for lunch as well. Walking up to the chicken restaurant I walked up to a kiosk and ordered my food through there. It was about 15 minutes. I wanted to say until I got my food and when I saw it, my eyes grew so big! Plus since I always want to try something new. Let's see what Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken has to offer this not so hangry yet, girl. So far so good, their stock photos look appetizing. I already picked out a list of items I'd like to try like the: Chicken Sando, Chicken Fingers, Chicken Wrap, Loaded Fries, Salad w/ Chicken Breast as well as the Loaded Mac & Cheese. As for my first visit I chose to try the Loaded Fries with Medium heat & my fiancé chose the Chicken Bites in Mild. Just to be on the safe side when trying out new restaurants as to what they consider to be spicy. I'll usually start in the middle & work my way up on spice. Mild or medium didn't have that kick I was looking for so I'll try hot on my next visit. Just not sure which item will win my pick just yet. However I am a fan of their logo & overall atmosphere. It's a fun restaurant to order at. They have 3 self serve kiosks to order from. The two on the outside are for ordering Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & the one in the middle is for ordering off of the dessert menu. Which being that I'm usually not one to order soda. I was extremely excited to have an option to order a Thai Tea Boba from here too. So there's still plenty from their treat menu that I'm eager to try as well. My only suggestion I can think of is maybe having different size options to choose from. Cause my loaded fries came in a massive box. It was enough to feed me for 3 meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. I did not mind waiting until the person behind me was finished being helped, especially since she was the only other person in line. As someone who has worked in the food industry, I understand that situations like this can happen. However, proper food safety protocol would require discarding the contaminated item and changing gloves before preparing new food. This was not done. If you opt for the wrap, there's no side salad but if you opt for the sandwich, they should include the side salad and a side of Kimchee Banana peppers. I usually ask for more because portions can be small. The ciabatta bread the sandwich comes in is freshly made on island but can be huge and even if I cut it in half, everything starts falling out so I prefer the wrap at times. The Ancient Grain bowl is my other go to. It's basically a Greek Salad but with Quinoa and Red Cabbage and it comes with Tzatziki sauce and a Lemon Herb vinaigrette. If you love soup, there's a Butternut Squash that's quite addicting, Tomato Bisque that tastes delicious like a Marinara sauce and if I need some protein, I opt for the Lamb Chili.
